If you are like me and want all the holiday stories this novella anthology is a must read. I loved every story, felt the connection within the shorter story, which is HUGE for me. Cute, sexy, heart filled goodness within the pages. Found some new to me authors and had a smile on my face all the way to the end. xo
Stocking Stuffer is a Christmas Anthology featuring five authors. All the stories are a short quick read. Most of the authors were new to me except for Sibylla Matilde. I started with Merry Little Hookup by Sibylla Matilde and loved it. It's a sexy cute read. After reading that one I went back to the befogging and started reading them in order. All the stories are cute Christmas reads.
This review is for mistletoe and mischief by Melissa Ivers
I really loved this short about nash and Jules it starts of as enemies to lovers. But Jules starts to slowly come around after nash fakes being her boyfriend to get a customer to keep his hands to himself .
Then his idea to keep her fired up just keeps going from there and when the two finally decide to give in it's explosive but also trouble when Jules brother sebastian finds out what his brother is up to love the christmas element in this and also that nash knew Jules in every way ..
I've only been able to read one of the books so far, "Finally Home", but let me tell you, it was AMAZING. Sometimes you look at these packs of stories, and see they aren't asking for a whole leg in payment and you wonder if it'll be worth it. So worth it. The flow of the story was flawless. You can actually feel the characters feelings. The characters are also realistic, flawed humans who acknowledge their bad decisions. It wasn't filled with any "filler" you find in some stories. Those pages you wonder what the purpose of them in that book? Not here. It all makes sense and really draws you into the lives. When I had to put the book down to continue my life, I would find myself thinking about how they would come together, and work through any issues.
Honestly, highly recommend. Buy these because if one was that good, my expectations are high for the rest. Of course I'll update my review as soon as I read them all!
Stocking Stuffers is the Holiday gift that will warm you up on those chilly winter nights.
All the authors included in this anthology are new to me and I truly enjoyed each of their stories. Whether you’re looking to read the entire collection or just a single story from it they are all entertaining, filled with holiday cheer and bringing the heat.
All the characters in each of the five stories included have amazing chemistry and amazing banter.
If you’re looking for some Holiday romances or looking to discover some new authors this Christmas anthology is definitely one to check out.
This anthology of short stories is perfect! The story “Merry Little Hookup” by Sibylla Matilde totally brought me out of my book funk! I love that I can just go from one story to the next. I love Christmas themed books but find that most are super cheesy, but not these! I highly recommend you give this anthology a try, you won’t be sorry!
Review of Mistletoe and Mischief by Melissa Ivers:
This is a sweet and steamy short story to get you into the holiday spirit. Jules and Nash have supposedly hated each other for years, since the day that he caused her boyfriend to break up with her. The problem is that Nash is best friends with Jules brother, Sebastian, and Sebastian has invited Nash to stay at her house with them for the holidays. Jules gets confused when Nash starts being a little nicer than usual, and then she starts to realize that there may be a fine line between hate and love.
I really enjoyed getting to know the characters in this story. The 'bromance' between Nash and Sebastian definitely adds a bit of comedy while Jules and Nash's relationship offers a few heartfelt moments and plenty of steam. This is a perfect kick-off to the holiday season!
I want to start off by saying that I absolutely loved this entire book as a whole. Each individual story had it’s own journey to go on but each and every one held my attention and pulled me in, as if I was there experiencing their love, and even sometimes heart ache, with them. Wonderful read for the season. If it can’t get you out of an Ah Hum Bug spirt then I don’t know what can.
An ARC was provided for review of Merry Little Hookup by Siby Matilde.
It's been a while since I've read her work and I think that she has grown as a writer. Although this is a short story, there's a lot packed in it. I know the characters, their back stories, and got a great lust to love story. The sex was hot. I'm truly hoping that this could happen to me this Christmas! Can't wait to read the other stories.
The only thing better than an Anthology is a Christmas one! I love anthologies, and I love all things Christmas, it's a great way to discover new to you authors and test if they are a fit for your reading style.
I thoroughly enjoyed this collection so much, they had me laughing, hot under the collar, tearing up, even sobbing in a few. My heart was taken for a ride from one story and moment to the next. Each author in this book is so talented and incredible I can’t wait to read more from each of them!
-Finally Home by K. M. Rives- A sweet, sexy and emotional second chance romance between Cami and Weston. My heart broke for Weston through this story but warmed to see the underlying connection he had with Cami. Her strength and heart was one I wholeheartedly admired not just when it comes to Weston but as she seemed to approach her life in general. They were the first couple to light up my kindle and it was honestly the perfect one to start off as it had me completely enthralled and rooting for them from page one. It set a fantastic tone for the rest of the books as well.
-All In Aspen by Maira James- After Valerie is left heartbroken, Jamie is determined to show her a perfect Christmas, maybe even a little Christmas Magic. His devotion is absolutely beautiful towards Valerie which just made him so stinkin’ swoon worthy! The way he is patient, caring and surprising her with minor details that she didn’t realize he knew, had my heart swelling with excitement. This was also the only book where both characters travel TO Aspen, instead of starting out there, which I thought was a fun unique difference.
-Mistletoes and Mischief by Melissa Ives- I knew the second the banter started between Julia and Nash, I was all in on this book. This enemies to lovers, brothers best friend love story was perfect. The wit in the back and forth dialogue was just fantastic, it was very smooth and natural. I hate to pick favorites because I loved all the men in this collection but Nash was probably the one that stuck with me the most. He just drew me in and made me love him right from his first POV chapter. While not specifically being able to relate to his situation, I think most people have felt the need to project to the world something they aren’t or don’t want to. It was a great way to make his character feel real for me and just made me want to hug him!! Also, his relationship with Sebastian was possibly my favorite bromance I have ever come across! They. Had. Me. Dying!
-Merry Little Hookup by Siby Matilde- Holy hotness Batman was this a spicy one! Virginia and Ty’s love story was sweet, fast and intense but oh so delicious to read, definitely the steamiest of the five. I think many have dreamed of a former crush to come sweep us off our feet and Ty does that ten fold here. These two have an immense chemistry, passion and connection between them not only in those steamy intimate moments but in the quiet moments as well that really stood out for me. Did not see the little twist Ty had in store for Virginia coming but I LOVED it!!! Plus that epilogue!!! So satisfying for my heart.
-Christmas with Evin by E. J. Darling- Whew, this book was a rollercoaster of emotions I was not expecting but could not be happier that I took the ride. I absolutely love that E. J. Darling made Evin’s character the way she is, an incredible heroine. A tough, beautiful inside and out type of woman. Her and Tucker’s chemistry, I felt, was more charming and alluring than “hot” and it suited them, I couldn’t get enough of these two. The secret Tucker had was NOWHERE on my radar. I had a million other ideas but none were even close, so it took me by surprise and I thoroughly enjoyed not knowing what to expect. I’d LOVE to see how their story continued.
If you are looking for fun, steamy, feel good holiday romance reads then this is 100 percent the book for that! I can’t recommend it enough, I received an advanced copy AND bought it because I loved it so much. I wish I could rate this book more stars because, in my opinion, each individual book deserves their own 5 star rating.
*This anthology was gifted to me by Sibylla Matilde, one of the authors, in exchange for an honest review*
Do you love steamy holiday romance stories? Well then this anthology is for you! Each story is set in small town Aspen, and focuses on a different couple. I really loved these stories, and it is the perfect book for this time of the year!
The first story is a story of second chance, focusing on Cami and West as they are stuck in a cabin for Christmas after not seeing each other for fifteen years.
In the second story, Valerie is heartbroken after finding out her fiancé is cheating on her. When her devastatingly charming boss Jaime invites her to his cabin in Aspen for Christmas in order to help her heal, she knows it’s probably a bad idea, yet she isn’t able to resist.
The third story is an enemies to lovers romance featuring Nashton and Julia. Julia has always hated Nashton, her older brother’s annoying best friend, who always knows exactly how to get under her skin. Nashton himself has never been able to get Jules out of his head, and when he comes to stay with the siblings one Christmas season, sparks fly.
In the fourth story, Ty and Virginia meet in a bar after not seeing each other since high school. After talking for a while, they end up in bed, where they both confess that they had a crush on each other in high school. After what was supposed to be a one night stand, both are left reeling. Can they allow themselves to be happy?
In the final story, Tucker hires Evin, who works as an escort to pay for her dying father’s medical bills, to spend Christmas weekend with him. Little does Evin know, however, that Tucker chose her for reasons of his own. Can these two find happiness?
"All in all every story, even though they are completely different were absolutely amazing. Each other has a special way of writing that takes you on a ride that you will not want to put the story down until each and every one has been read. Amazing job to these wonderful Author's and I look forward to reading more from each of them in the future!"
***This review is Maira James portion of the Anthology titled Dealer’s Choice***
The chemistry between Jamie and Val was sooooo good! I was totally pulled into Jamie’s character. Hot, romantic, dominant and caring. Now that Val’s single, he makes it real clear how much he wants her and has always wanted her.
The story felt genuine as Val worked through her emotions from a recent break up and finally acknowledging her feelings for Jamie, hesitating to have a relationship with him because her heart would not recover if things didn’t work out between them.
*Review of Mistletoe and Mischief by Melissa Ivers Story included in the Stocking Stuffers Anthology *
This is one sweet and naughty holiday read that will definitely bring you some Christmas cheer!
Julia Rowe and Nash Wyatt have been walking a fine line between love and hate for years. Nash is best friends with Julia's brother and just loves to get under her skin. Nash has always had a thing for Julia but, he's not about to let his feelings ruin his relationship with his best friend even though no other woman has made him feel alive more than Julia. With their shared history of always pushing each other's buttons neither has been willing to cross the line until now. This was one completely entertaining story that was just perfection from beginning to end! It was fun, humorous, and wonderfully naughty! I absolutely loved Nash and Julia's snarky banter and smoking hot sexy times! Throw in a little Christmas magic and a humorous scene about Christmas balls that will have you hysterically laughing this is one holiday read you won't want to miss!
*I was generously given an ARC copy of this story by the author for an honest review *
Who doesn't love a hot and steamy Christmas Anthology!! There are 5 great stories here in this one anthology and I enjoyed each one. The connection between all 5 stories is that they are all set in Aspen. All five authors are new to me so I took a bit of a chance with this, which paid off greatly as I would definitely read more from any of these authors! Not to be missed to get you a little hot under the collar and in mood for Christmas!
Finally Home by K.M. Rives Cami and Weston have history, but he walked out and left her broken hearted years ago. Cami got on with her life and made her own little business work but never got over Weston. Now he's back in town, in her shop, as good looking as ever! An avalanche on the mountain causes his car to crash forcing Weston to spend Christmas with Cami in her cabin. Their attraction is still there, more than ever, but circumstances have changed between them.
All in Aspen by Maira James Jamie is the hot loaded boss who Val works as a PA for. When her boyfriend cheats and her heart gets broken Jamie steps in and takes her to Aspen for Christmas for a few days. Little does she know that Jamie has been attracted to Val since they met, but has kept his feelings to himself. Now he makes his move proving just how much she means to him in the few days that have in the cabin.
Mistletoe and Mischief by Melissa Ivers An enemies-to-lovers / brothers best friend read, loved it! Sebastian and Nash grew up together and now work together as lawyers. They have come to stay with Julia, Sebastian's sister in Aspen for Christmas. Nash and Julia have always pushed each others buttons to get a rise out of each other. Little does Julia know that Nash does this due to his attraction to her, but has promised Seb not to touch his sister. But when another man hits on Julia at a party Nash steps in and is unable to stop himself making a move on her.
Merry Little Hookup by Siby Matilde Virginia works at the local bar in Aspen when a former school friend walks in, the boy she had a crush on, but she hasn't seen for years. Ty was in the military but has just broken up with his girlfriend. He always had a bit of a crush on Virgina at school, with her goth look and ripped tights, but never did anything about it. Now he's back in Aspen and determined to do more than just talk with her. A hot a steamy little number this one!!
Christmas with Evin by E.J. Darling Evin works as an escort to pay for her dad's medical bills, she's not happy about it but will do anything for her dad. She has a booking over the Christmas weekend that will go a long way to paying her bills. Tucker is the client paying for her over Christmas, but is not looking for her to do what you think. He has a complicated story to tell, one you won't guess!! I enjoyed this one a lot!
Finally Home by KM Rives— Cami and West’s second chance romance was an emotionally charged read! Rives balanced the heavy with the happy memories pretty well and the steamy chemistry...sizzling!
All In Aspen by Maira James—Jaime and Valerie’s timing always seemed off and it doesn’t help things that he’s her boss, but when Valerie’s engagement is broken, Jaime makes a Hail Mary effort, hoping Val will realize what’s been in front of her all along...him. This was a spicy number and I enjoyed the effort Jaime put in to showing Val how important she was to him.
Mistletoe and Mischief by Melissa Ivers—Nash was so darn likable! Even when he was being obnoxious I found him charming! I enjoyed his quips and barbs with Julia immensely. Sarcasm and innuendos aside, their hate/love relationship was reasonably fleshed out and came with a satisfying ending.
Merry Little Hookup by Sibyalla Matilde—Virginia and Ty have an unexpected opportunity to act on their high school crush, but Virginia isn’t aware there’s more to Ty’s chance meeting than meets the eye. This was a good read. Ty’s smooth moments helped blunt Gin’s rough edges and the ending was poetically appropriate.
Christmas with Evie by EJ Darling—Evin’s job as a high paid escort has pros and cons, but it allows her to care for her father to the best of her ability. Tucker pays for a weekend, but she’s not prepared for why he specifically chose her. This story was like a steamier version of Pretty Woman, but I would have liked a bit more balance with the emotional and the physical aspects to believe the HFN.
Review for Melissa Ivers story, “Mistletoe and Mischief!”
Holy hotness! Get ready to swoon! This an absolutely amazing story! I loved every single word of it. I found Melissa through Instagram and have had this Anthology of hers for a bit and am kicking myself for just reading it. The story is so brilliant. The concept of Nash having the unrequited crush as opposed to Julia is an amazing concept. One you don’t see often, which made this story absolutely wonderful.
Julia and Nash have known each other forever. Julia’s brother Sebastien and Nash have been best friends since they were kids. Therefore, Nash has been teasing Julia for so very long, and she gives it right back to him too. But when the two reconnect for The Christmas Holiday, something seems different to Julia with Nash. She notices how nice and thoughtful he is being. She also notices how attractive he is. But to her, it is Nash, her enemy.
Can these two enemies see past their dislike for one another and turn this story from enemies to lovers in no time? Or will the hatred be too strong to look past? Nash promised to not cross that line. But sometimes it is ok to be naughty, especially if Nash is the one you get to be naughty with!
This enemies to love was absolutely brilliant. Melissa’s writing is amazing, detailed and flows perfectly. This was my first time reading Melissa’s books and it certainly won’t be my last! She has a lifelong fan out of me.
Stocking Stuffers was a great collection of 5 stories that definitely got me in the holiday spirit! I had. It previously read anything by the authors in this anthology but I will certainly be looking for their other writings. Each story was well written with characters that had serious chemistry. I loved that while each story took place within the same universe and there was some overlap, each story was unique and featured a different trope. While I enjoyed all of the stories, All in Aspen and Mistletoe and Mischief were my favorites.
I received an advanced copy of this title which did not affect the contents of my review. All opinions are my own.
OMG Siby is back! Que all sorts of squeeling and happy dances when I found out one of my favourite authors was back behind the keyboard and that was just when I found out this little treasure was being released! I cannot tell you how excited I was when I read the book! This book is hot, like melting kindles hot. No need for the heating when you're reading this. Ty Sievers and Virginia Bennett knew of each other in school, but years later, their paths cross again. And again! This book had me laughing and swooning. Ty is an amazing character and I would love to see more of him...! Well done Sibylla, I am so happy you have your mojo back. 💜
I loved this 5 story anthology. Every novella has it's own charm and everything about them is uniquely their own. I don't usually read holiday themed books but this was a fun way to get into the holiday spirit. Even though the stories were short, I thought every author did a great job at engaging me as a reader and making sure I "bought in". Overall a very nice read.
Love this collection of holiday short stories. Each story is, sweet and entertaining. From being stuck on a mountain, relationship with the boss, brothers friend, break-up/hook-up to doing what you need to do. Reading this will get you in the spirit...and in the mood!
It took until the third book to realize they were all loosely tied together, but that’s on me lol. I had my favorite, but they were all pretty entertaining. Some a little heavier while others were holy mother of god level steamy. All in all, a very fun Christmas anthology of good old fashioned smut. I approve!
This review is for Mistletoe Kisses by K.M. Rives. I loved this story so much. After reading this authors series The Culling of Blood and Magic series I fell in love with Dorian and Ansel. Getting to read their story individually gave me all the goosey bumps. I normally don’t like to read MM but this short story was hot HOT HoT!
This collection of cute little novellas are based around Christmas in Aspen. I enjoyed the stories and they were written by new to me authors. I’m probably going to read more of their books.
