All Variants live by one rule - you run, you hide…or you die.

Ever since the disappearance of her father, Paige Adler has been hiding in the system. She spends her days packing ration boxes, and her nights on the hunt, secretly seeking justice against those who prey on her people.

Just like her father once did.

One night, when tracking a killer, Paige stumbles upon something far bigger than her own personal vendetta…

In the shadows of the city, the Resistance still lingers, all but destroyed fifteen years before. Her father once fought for them, and it cost him his life. Now, they want Paige to join them too.

Drawn in by a handsome but mysterious Variant, Paige soon discovers that the enemy is building a secret weapon, one that could destroy not only the Resistance, but all Variants, once and for all.

In order to survive, they have to fight. And Paige, her powers, and her past, might just be the key to the future…

I absolutely loved this series and the way that it ties into several of TC Edge's other series.

Paige lives in constant danger of being killed because the government of non variants hate all Variants for the strange powers they possess. Paige has never been allowed by her non variant mother to use her powers for fear that she would be discovered, but needs must and once she starts using them, there is really no turning back.

Once Paige discovers the hidden resistance movement, she also finds new hope in finally one day being able to live without fear. But that day will be a long, dangerous way off, and she must first learn everything there is to know about herself and be braver than she ever thought possible.

Wonderful series. I loved every page of it.

I really enjoyed this series and it was great to be involved with the Enhanced world again.

This series is taken from Paige's point of view, and though it's a first-person narrative, it still allows other characters to develop. It has familiar themes, as in the rest of these stories in the Enhanced world, such as tyrants and oppression but takes place in what was London in Britain, and other 'powers' are recognised.

There are grammatical errors (missing capital letters, for example) and cross-language (lift /elevator) but the writing style and detail are very good, if a little repetitious in places.

I have reviewed each book separately, so I will just that overall, this is an excellent story with intriguing characters and a brilliant sense of place.

Highly recommended.

This book set had me wanting to read non stop. I only stopped to sleep, and even dreamed about the story until I could start reading it again. This book set truly captured and retained my interest from start to finish.

While reading this book set, I was totally drawn into the world and amazed of the twists the storyline provided. I normally do not write reviews on books, but this one truly captured my imagination and kept things real with the progressive story line. Thank you for the movie in my head. It was so easy to follow and fun to watch. I am looking forward to reading more of your stories in the future.

A rousing epic story

An interesting premise. Gene manipulation to create super-human powers. Then of course the inevitable greed that power begets. This set of books depicts only one nation's travel after the downfall of technological society.

It was both a blessing and curse to have them all immediately avaiable. I might have taken a break if I was reading them individually. But I love a long story. So much more of the tale and the details of all the characters. Now my eyes need to rest.

Excellent adventure!

All of the characters were intergrated flawlessly. Each character was celebrated for their contribution to a mission based on faith and loyalty that sometimes appeared hopeless to accomplish. What appeared to be insurmountable obstacles kept this adventure moving along at rapid pace as this team continued to stay true to their ultimate goal "Victory over their very oppreossors"

Best series I've read in years!

This is the best series I have read in years. It has fresh storylines, compelling plots, and rich characters. I was distracted by the large amount of spelling and grammatical errors though. And also pretty tired from staying up too late on work nights reading! Highly recommend book series.

Great story

I really liked that there wasn't unnecessary killing of important characters and it was written to build up each characters story rather than just have chaos and killing constantly.

Good story.

I enjoyed the series very much. It was a fairly quick read full of plenty of action and suspense with a good ending. There were a surprising amount of spelling/grammatical errors; especially in the later books.

Great series.

This series had me hooked from the beginning. It will and weaved through the whole thing giving you plenty of detail to understand what the author was writing about but also plenty of action. There was love but it is not a love story.

Fantastic story

All of these books are great and continue the epic variant tales so well. It's nice to be reminded of earlier works with re-appearances here and the struggle goes on... I'm up for the next series when it's available for sure!
