King & Slater #8
Hunters
A RETURN TO THE EDGE OF LIMITS…
It’s been months since King and Slater faced true physical adversity. Now they’re back in the depths of hell.
A botched attempt to seize control of the Presidency by a brainwashed intelligence asset leads to the exposure of King and Slater’s location. The shadow world from which they fled has them in their sights, and they’re furious. Going rogue is the gravest sin — wetwork operators aren't afforded the leniency of leaving whenever they please. Examples must be made.
The hunters are unleashed.
Black-ops killers cut from the same cloth as King and Slater are given free reign to turn the United States into a hunting ground. It must be demonstrated what happens to dissidents. In the fight of their lives, King, Slater, Violetta and Alexis team with their only contact in the government, tech-wizard Alonzo Romero, to claw tooth and nail to stay alive…

The fabulous 4 continue to.....wait!!!What What What!!!!!
When ever it seems like you can take a break, inevitably harsh reality intrudes. So instead of a quiet moment, immanent death crashes in!!!

So good. Keeps getting better
Rogers is a master story teller. Always solid reads. I can't put his books down. I must know what happens. I've spent late nights reading his books and the king and slater series is up there. Well developed characters. Plots that build. Action and adventure. You won't want to stop reading.

Always high adventure from King and Slater books... although it really strains credulity that these supermen can function with concussions, torn muscles, and injuries that would prove devastating to the average human being.
Oh, but wait.. these are not average humans.
Still, they make an entertaining duo, especially with female partners to protect and encourage.
I’ll keep reading as long as Matt keeps writing them.

Always Exciting
As it is with every book in the series, King and Slater take on the best and come out on top. Matt Rodgers with his great writing technique and addition main characters from previous tales, once again provides exciting deeds in a manner that keeps you locked in the story. Great book, fantastic series. Read all of them!

Wow: King & Slater, every book is the best!
From the beginning of King series, I was thrilled, then Slater comes along, I knew Slater would become King's equal!
King & Slater series are absolutely fantastic. But, of course whatever stories Matt comes out with will be the best. Anxious for the next King & Slater's book!

Wow
All I can say is WOW. I have read all the King/Slater series and this one definitely the most violent. I would like to see it toned down a little because each time they get hurt I hurt for them. I love the action but not the extreme violence. I will patiently wait for the next book in the King/Slater series

When it looks like it is all over for King, Slater, and their two female and beloved counterparts,
they just reach down , grab another gear, and turn up the pace! The Black Force or Hunters, as their so called "replacements" were titled, are no more... annihilated by the foursome they were sent to terminate. The sole remains operator and head of the Hunters takes his own life, humiliated and shakened by his failure and loss of the entire team. There are no Hunters left... So what happens to our heroes now? A segue into a quiet retirement....? Maybe long enough to heal then I see them on the move again, but to what? Stay tuned!

Another awesome ride
I’ve spent the last couple months reading the entire King/Slater/King & Slater series, so I’ve gotten pretty well-connected with the cast and crew..as far as the K&S series is concerned, this installment was the best one yet. I figured there’d come a book where the guys’ past catches up to them, but honestly, ive been happy to avoid that thus far for the sheer anxiety that undoubtedly would accompany said book. And boy, was this one chalked full of anxiety. From beginning to end, another awesome, high speed installment of an incredible series.

The Champions
Another great 'fiction' adventure! Maybe I'm just getting old, but as enjoyable as this tale was, I kept feeling it was too far-fetched, too over the top. But with that said, I eagerly await the next one. In the meantime I'll catch my breath and read a Henning Mankill: Kurt Wallender story.

Wow. Non stop action almost from the start
This has got to be close to the top for action content. The team appear back on the radar of their former employers and they go after them hard
The team get chased and injured like never before, yet still manage to come out on top, for the most part. A few surprises which I won't spoil, but you won't be disappointed by this one

March 17, 2021I've been reading king and Slater series out of order and they're still great! Either way Matt Rogers is an amazing author. This book was excellent. A real thriller and easy to read. No overt sexual scenes ...... Not needed. I'm going for another one again. Fun and exciting!

A great read. One of the better King and Slater books. Waiting for the next one.
The action in this book was outstanding, especially all that King had to go through. Thought Alexis did a great job with no more training that she had.

I just hate to end this incredible series, but, maybe more good news stories will come with other characters.
Like the story and of course King & Slater. Slater in "search" of the "Golden One". This story close everything, in the series.
King will be showing too, cause the enemies are strong. I just love the end. Recommended.
I received an advance review copy, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Rereading the Series
I am rereading the King & Slater series. I remember much of the story, but was still caught off guard several times throughout the book. As always well edited and organised.

Teams End
The end of Will and Jason, and the girls, is just a snap of the fingers away. You will see this as truth when you start turning the pages .
