3.5 for me This would be a bit of a baised review as I'm trying to learn more and more about Radhaji. This so far has been my favourite read on her as this book is well researched and has taken inspiration from a lot of relevant book sources and summarises everything in the best possible manner.
Reading about Radhaji and her character always somehow makes me very emotional and I feel like her side of the story, her character, her individuality needs to be told and an in depth exploration is needed to even come close to get to know her but I don't believe it is possible to know Radha Rani, one can only feel the love (it's pure, eternal) she has for all her bhakts.
51 short stories on her life (mainly involving her pasttime and interactions with Krishna and her life after Krishnji left for Mathura) this book depicts their pure, eternal love for one another and mainly focuses on Radhaji's viewpoint, challenges and struggles she had to face in her life, her longing for her Kanha despite everything she lived by her morals ,simplicity and humbleness throughout her life.
This is going to sound a bit narcissistic of me but it's Radhika approved and a very beginner friendly book for anyone wanting to learn more about Radhaji.
This book claims the existence of Radha as a myth and goes on to write fictional stories of what happened between Radha and Krishna as per the author's imagination.
The first story written there were the author claims Radha concieved a child with Krishna and threw it into the lake is also unheard of.
