Well worth the read. I learned some valuable lessons and was entertained along the way. After reading Money Mind, I've decided my lack of discipline is my main issue when investing, especially in some of the higher risk/more volatile equities/sectors. Would definitely recommend as a gift to the friend who keeps getting burned every time they dabble in the stock market. This really made me think a lot about how I approach investing, and helped me dial down the things I need to focus on. The author consistently reminds us to "zoom out" and look at the bigger picture instead of trying to find the next unicorn.
This is a great book for the beginning stock investor. I've only started out lately, and I felt a lot of pressure and stress about the whole thing. This book make me feel more calm; now I feel like I have a plan. I know that investing is something I need to do to build my future. Now I feel like I can do it without any special knowledge or training.
Also, this is an easy, quick read, clear vocabulary and examples, even if you don't know a lot about the stock market or the business world in general.
I am so sick of earning money the long hard way and then loosing it the fast easy way on the stock market! My husband gave it to me. (I guess he is sick of the gnashing of teeth and the pulling of hair!) Now this little book with its friendly advice has set me on the path to success. Remember the Aesop Fable, "The Tortoise and The Hare?" The tortoise won that race and so will I! Money Mind has taught me it is a marathon, not a sprint.
