Witch Ellie MacLeish has mourned the loss of her parents for three years now and failed to find the people responsible for their murders. So her remaining family of her sister and aunt are everything to her. Dragon shifter and agent Ranger Evans was assigned to investigate the murder of the two powerful witches and so was taken aback when in the investigation he met his mate. Three years later and recovering from a near-fatal injury from the people who were responsible for the murders, he is no closer to claiming his mate either. Danger lurks in unlikely places even at the Crimson Moon Resort, so he might think it is safe to be there as he is no closer to working out who is behind the witch murders. Destiny is obviously not talking to help with the case either, but fate really won't be denied for much longer and it seems neither will sexy agent Evans. Can they get to the bottom of the murders and move on to better times?
It was lovely to get another dragon shifter style book with another dragon finding his mate. I loved the underlying story of who was behind the murders and the answer as to who it actually was. I liked the dynamic between Ellie and Ranger although I did find the eventual joining together between them a little sudden and thought it would have taken a bit longer. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Ellie MacLeish is a witch who will become very powerful on her 29th birthday - will come into her full powers. Her parents were murdered and left in the desert. So far, no one has been found or arrested for it. An agent for the DIA Agency, Ranger Evans, comes to talk to her. He's on assignment to try to find whoever is killing innocent witches, which includes her parents. To both their surprise, they are each others mates but that has to wait. He's going to find whoever is responsible for these atrocities. He leaves right away and she doesn't see or hear from him for quite a while. He was badly injured by the ones he was after and took a long time to recover. Ellie assumes he didn't feel the same about her, since she never heard from him again. Will these two ever meet again and will she get over her hurt of his leaving?
This story grabs you in from the start. There is murder, evil, mayhem, mystery, humor and hot romance. Has everything you can want in a story. I loved it and definitely recommend it.

As a paranormal, I wasn't terribly impressed with this book. The characters were great. There was a good bad guy. The storyline was okay. But there were some scenes that didn't make sense to me. For example, Ranger's mate has been kidnapped; he is a dragon and his dragon is the King of the dragons, but instead of changing into an awesome dragon to chase down his mate, he goes after her on a horse. Yes, a horse! Oh, and lets not forget he is a good ole Texan boy complete with the charming southern accent, and says yeehaw when he's excited. I just couldn't imagine this man being a dragon. The author does not develop Ranger into a strong male dragon character. Ranger changes into a dragon during one confrontational scene but before that he doesn't demonstrate anything impressive.
I thought the storyline could have been written as a paranormal with both characters as witches because the dragon's character was too weak.
I do appreciate that the book took less than 3 hours to complete.

A brilliant start to this new series, Julia always hits it out of the park with her dragon,in this adventure Ellie is a young witch who is on the cusp of her awakening, she's had her whole world torn apart by the unexplained deaths of her parents,her sister Celia convinces her to take a holiday at the new Crimson Moon Hideaway,which she reluctantly agrees, during the investigation into her parents deaths she meet her one true mate Agent Evan Ranger,but the timing sucks & he hightails it ouuta there,after getting injured on a mission he returns home to recuperate,his friend convinces him to go to the resort to get back to full health,not knowing that these two fated lovers are in for the adventure of a lifetime,but evil lurks in the shadow waiting to pounce and it's closer to home than Ellie will realise,a fantastic array of characters that you'll fall in love with, brilliant worldbuilding a storyline that will keep you gripped till the end

A new offshoot series from this enjoyably entertaining author.
A well written and plotted story that brings in characters from other series to give us one hell of a great story.
Due to being a male and having silly thinking, Ranger finds the one the universe chose for him but walks away believing he is keeping her safe.
Ellie has a destiny that she is ready to fulfil, except for having a disappearing mate.
Due to her mate not claiming her, Ellie, though an extremely strong character, understandably suffers self-doubt. On top of this, witches are being found dead, Ellie’s parents amongst those numbers.
She also has a family legacy about to kick into gear which could possibly cause a massive problem.
Loved Ranger and Ellie as a couple and the end of this story was brilliant.
I was offered this book for an honest review but read it through Kindle Unlimited.

Ellie is a witch, who is turning twenty-nine soon, and coming into her powers. Although she is a bit apprehensive, for she thinks their is a bit of a McLeish curse, that might befall her too. She and her sister lost their parents years ago, and they blame the Chimera, even though it hasn't been proven yet. Can she make them pay, for what they did to her parents? She met Ranger, who was investigating her parent's murder, and she though he was her mate, then he disappeared on her. Will she find her mate? How will Ranger react if they cross paths again? I loved this paranormal romance, it was entertaining, had some angst and both Ellie and Ranger were easy to love.

DIA plus Crimson Moon
Crimson moon series, this series each book is written by different author Julia mills has written two books in the series but it also links to her Dragon guard series (45 books) this kind of links to somewhere near the last few books, in one of them he is on honeymoon and calls them I think it's raynor story ( there also link books near the end of series berserkers banning/asher/raynor) Julia mills owns the dragon guard series but she has written many others with multi authors and it's clever with characters from her series plus new ones and ones in the other series.it's clever but confusing sometimes with all the jumping back and forward and in different places in the same world.so in truth it makes that series about 6 series in one of not more.

Atempt to make sexual force O.K.
He treats her like crap, leaving without a word. She manages to pull herself together to try and move on. They accidentally run into each other at a resort. He then traps her in an elevator and forces himself on her. She says no! He continues, she gives in all because he is her fated mate and just can not stay mad. What a load of garbage! The adventure in the book was great, but the force with insta love destroyed the book. How can real women stand up for themselves when their heads are being filled with I DO NOT want to, but he loves me so it must be O.K.
Avoid this book. Do not buy or borrow, it only incentivizes Authors to keep writing that it is O.K. to force women.

Yuppers you head it hear. He ji-tailed it out of Texas and hasn't been seen or heard of for 4 months. Ellie is a witch with time bomb strapped to her ;by het 29th birthday boomb! She can go off and either kill or be killed. This witch's heart is hurt by the dragon who ran out on their what could be a explosive mating. Mystery and suspence with a plot keeps you reading this fine tale of explosive quality! Page turner after page turner this heroine got "Balls" and know how to use 'umm So stand back and giver her room and let ger wrangle her dragon!

He walked away from her, she is scared of her awakening. There is evil stirring. Will they be able to keep each other safe?
One of the things that I love most about this author is how her women are always strong, sassy, and refuse to be kept in the shadows. I loved that this woman didn't take what was being thrown at her laying down and was determined to prove her and her mate were a team. I loved how this dragon admitted he was wrong and was determined to do what he could to prove his love to his mate. Another Julia Mills hit!

This is Ranger and Ellie's story . Ellie is still waiting to find out who killed her parents . Ranger is sent to find out just who is killing witches . Once these two meet the heat lights up the pages ! Ellie is left feeling that he did not feel about her the same way since he never came back . Ranger is laid up trying to heal after being attacked by the ones doing the killing .
This is well written and recommended to all !! I was gifted this ARC and loved it so much I wanted to leave a review .

Always love Dragons
Another dragon story where sometimes you want to smack the man upside the head. Always making the woman mad trying to protect her from something he swears she needs protected from, even if she can do it too.
Always love when lovers reconnect with each other, and it's not one of those insta love stories. You can tell by watching and listening that they truly love each other and after they are done being stubborn they will be together forever.
But I think the stubborn and unseen family drama makes it the best.

And when two souls get together nothing is more important and strong than their link. This way he was able to save his love from a person very close to her family.
And at the end all fall into their propose. Forever and ever.... Loved this book and love Julia's writing.

Ranger and Ellie were amazing together. While investigating a group murdering witches, Ranger did not expect to find his mate. Or how long it would take him to finally claim her. Ellie feels rejected when Ranger up and disappears on her. When they do come together their chemistry is off the charts. But the have a murder to solve. The twists and turns are unexpected. The romance is what we love about all the books Ms. Mills writes. Another great read!

I loved Ellie and Ranger and their amazing personalities. Their personalities are felt throughout the story. It has a lot of action and drama with suspense mixed in. We have a bit of a mystery that has a surprising twist to it. It is stunningly written and the flow to the story is magnificent. The story keeps you glued to it and so engaged with it. This definitely worth reading and doesn’t disappoint.

Exceptional read!!! Great characters! Ranger is so sweet even thought he acted in a stupid way at first! And she was strong and went over her insecurities to fight for her life! And that twist in the end? Oh my, wasn´t expecting that one!! I can´t wait to read more on the Crimson Moon Hideaway world!! Thank you Julia for bringing shuch wonderful stories to life!!

Dragon Falling is a brilliant second chance romance. Ellie knows Ranger Evans is her mate. She can’t understand why he left with no word. Ranger has regretted it ever since. I love that even though Ranger is a dragon shifter some things are just so male they transcend species. Ranger is such a guy. This story, like everything Julia Mills writes, will delight and charm you.

Ellie is a Witch and is being sent away on a holiday. Ranger is a dragon shifter going to the same place Crimson Moon. They meet there and realise they are fated mates. Then Ellie is abducted and Ranger with two others go to find her. This is a good lighthearted story Can’t wait to read the next book

Wow such an exciting read. Always love the writing of Julia Mills she gives us a wild ride with each book she writes. If you haven't read any of her work you won't be disappointed with her books. Full of action, romance and a big surprise. My only gripe would be I want more!!!

Mystery
I loved that Ellie and Ranger were not perfect.they dealt with their personal doubts. But knew they were mates. I gave it a 4 because I thought there could have been more interaction with the villains(Chime r as). But loved surprise twist at the end.

I wish I were kidding that the fmc has a “family heirloom” reminiscent of The Heart of The Ocean from Titanic, alas. I didn’t stick around for the psychic powers, family ancestry, or murder mystery.

Enjoyed the book
Enjoyed this story. I kind of like the witches doing actual witch type stuff like casting spells. I loved when she made the bedroom his dream room and made the bed a picnic area for the feast she has ordered.
