ARIA
A monster grips the city in his iron fist.
The media calls him El Santo.
I prefer El Diablo - the devil.
My obsession with the gorgeous Dominic Alvarez will be his demise. I crave the look in his captivating dark eyes while I crush his even darker soul.
I refuse to become like the others; the women whose hearts stop at the sight of him.
Those women lost themselves in the allure and temptation of El Santo before they could feel the danger of El Diablo.
The time for redemption is now.
EL SANTO
Seduce them all and make their souls mine.
It’s what I was born to do.
But here comes a cunning little mouse, playing in a snake den.
Aria Jones lives inside the walls of her pretty head. That’s where I need to be - in her head.
Once I glean the secrets behind Aria’s jaded gaze and discover her greatest fears, I’ll collect the little mouse like the others.
Collect, crush, and make her mine forever.

I was lucky to get an ARC for this book. I obviously like this book, no I am invested in this book. This book caught me from the first page and never let go. I love twisty, deep, character-driven novels and this one is exquisite. Each of the characters is broken in very different ways. The chronicle of the various coping methods employed by the characters is staggering. Finding out each back story and the families and friends and community of these characters painted such a vivid picture in my mind it was like going to an IMAX theater. Seeing how one can be manipulated constantly and the effects that it takes on a character was fascinating. Aria was manipulated and handled time and time again throughout her childhood before she received some necessary caring. Dominic was blind to his surroundings even though he thought he was in complete control.
And of course, there is a lot of nicely nasty dirty sex that is always a blast to read. I do not give five-star ratings very often, when I do they are wholeheartedly deserved.
I will be going back to re-read this and Devil in her bed because there is a whole lot of yummy to read.
I enjoyed the smokin’ steamy interaction between the main characters. If you’re looking for a mystery-thriller with sexy hotness and serious situations going on this might be the weekend read for you!
Aria world started out in a distorted twisted unfortunate event that scarred her young life... She's haunted by that loss and it shaped her whole life.... Losing her identical twin... She carries it around her neck like a albatross.... She dies a thousand deaths every minute from guilt... It's killing her slowly.... She has a bff Ros...her cousin Siobhan...remember... Her gramps....her art and photography... But she merely existing... Not living ...until El Diablo/ El Santo... Sexiest Cubano in all of Miami... too bad he's a serial killer... But can sexy as fu(k Dominic protect her heart and life....she stalked her way in his life...and now El Santo is in plain sight... Ready to add her to his angeles list of victims :-!
A killer on the loose is terrorizing Miami. Aria thinks she knows who it is and will get the proof to crucify him. Dominic Angel Alvarez, the Cuban Lover is her number one suspect. Murder sex and drama combine to make this a page turner. Plenty of crazy in this one.
The book was just trying to hard, I felt dizzy. We went from madness to horror story to a pinch a romance and round again. Aria was so guilt ridden and obsessed it was tiring. Then the whole identical twin was fine then it wasn’t. If she love Dominic so much she should have realised that Dario wasn’t him. They are subtle physical differences or in the voice, mannerisms etc.. even if Dario was copying Dom at some point he came through so she could have started questioning that things. At that point I was done with the book. The twisted ending made zero sense to me. It inconceivable that someone who has been so thoroughly deceived and cyber stalked would live in a smart home or would have anything security wise that could be hacked.
This was a good read. The chemistry between Dominic and Aria was amazing. The sex scenes were hot. As always when I read Ms. Avant's books, there is a period of confusion of what is going on that I can't describe. This story was something out of a soap opera I remember watching as a kid. It was either General Hospital or One life to live with the twins. I don't like that Dario was having sex with Aria or that she didn't realize it or never bring up these random rendezvous. I'm a little disappointed that we never found out what happened to Aria's sister. Who was the Sarah lady and why was she taking kids and following the Jones' sisters. In the beginning, I thought this book was going to be about Dominic's clients and the connection to the Cartel which now I believe was just a storyline provided to throw the reader off of who is El Santo. The other part of that i didn't like was Aria masturbating while Dominic was making out with another girl at the restaurant. I don't understand the purpose of that scene either. Again, good book but some things just felt unnecessary.
Title: Diablo Inside Author: Amarie Avant Publisher: A.A. Reviewed By: Arlena Dean Rating: Five Review: "Diablo Inside" by Amarie Avant My Speculation:
"Diablo Inside" was quite a read that will keep your attention through the story. Be prepared for a little bit of it all from twists and turns all over the place. Following the characters of this story will keep you on your toes because this author knows so well how to present them so well to her readers. The heroine in the story was quite intriguing in all that she had been through since the loss of her twin sister. It was hard to understand how her parents could treat her in the matter they did. Thank goodness she had grandparents that were there for her and a childhood friend. When Aia meets up with Dominic and someone else that seems to be able to manipulate their lives so completely that neither one of them knew they were being managed. I am referring to Aia and Dominic as they fall for one another, especially after she discovers he was not who she thought he was. And omg the sex was off the chart. However, someone else enjoyed this too. All I can say is that this author knows how to give the readers a story that will have you shaking your head and saying, wow, what a read. I don't want to spoil it for you, so you will have to pick up this well-written read and see how well this author will bring it all out to the reader.
I enjoyed the Extended Epilogue instead of the Alternate Ending. The Extended Epilogue was more realistic HEA, and the Alternate Ending was more of a dream that could have happened for that one in prison. Thank you to the author, who always gives her reader an excellent exciting, complete story that will keep one's interest to the end.
This book exceeded all her books so far it read like a drama movie it had me all up in my feelings twins different but sorta not but equally hot in the romance department one twin so twisted and evil the other a manwhore based on his past teen years enter a damaged girl whose guilt leads her to an emotional roller coaster ride of lies deceit and great sex unknowingly with both one being a serial killer who happens to be a computer whiz with a damn chip on his shoulder and the good twin who’s a prominent lawyer who has no idea really how crazy and deceptive his brother really is throw in some humor her gramps cousin and best friend who’s a trip looking for love the twins grumpy daddy this book has it all oh not to mention the roommate from hell and last but not least Yasiel a true g I don’t want to give the plot away but if you read nothing else buy and read this the alternative ending had me screaming shit shit shit Amarie Avant did her thing with this book I was hooked from page one and kept saying damn oh wow no she didn’t holy crap really I just didn’t read that my heart was pounding can’t wait for the next book it’s sure to be off the chain thank you for your twisted magical mind cheers 🥂
Wow. Just Wow. I'm blown away from the glimpse at the inside of Diablo and Amarie's imagination. This is a heart pounding, dark, edge of your seat thrilling romance. It had me at page one. I'm not going to give any spoilers, just advise you it's a page turner. It's also hot enough to cause a small fire and should come with a warning label to proceed with caution. It's hot, sexy, sensual and gives you all of the feels. It will have you deep in your feelings. You won't regret the story that is about the devil inside. Love the extended epilogue. It's told in different points of view, no cheating , and a happily ever after for now. Check it out. I highly recommend this book.
What a sexy thriller Diablo Inside was! I was blown away by the crazy thrill ride this book was. The sexy lady's man attorney Dominic is both saint and definitely sinner. The plot was heavy and so was the some of the scenes but there was also some lightness and fun reading the sexy scenes between Aria and Dominic. It is interesting that they both have family issues that weigh upon them but in different ways. The scenes with Dario were truly chilling and felt much like a movie. I can almost imagine his face and eyes during some of the scarier scenes. Even though I knew what was going to happen pretty early on I enjoyed reading it to see how it would all play out. Also, Dario's form of crazy is quite compelling! I really enjoyed this sexy scary thriller and loved how it kept me on the edge of my seat until the very last page.
Dominic the Attorney and Hot Cuban Lover finds Aria a woman stalking him. She believes he is El Santo the woman killer and someone from her past. He goes after her and she finds that he is more of a sexual beast that killer. But things are happening around them and it leads to some surprises for both as they seek to find out about the mysterious drama surrounding them. Good Reading
Thank you Amarie Avant for writing another phenomenal, 5 star worthy book. If life had not intervened, I would have finished this book in two days tops. No, not because it was a short read but because this book kept me glued to my device to see what happens next. This was one thrilling book that had me screaming and laughing at different intervals I’m not going to write what happened, you guys will have to read the book to get the experience first hand. Amarie, keep doing what you’re doing girl. I’m your fan for life!
Omg I was not expecting this read. it was all that and so steamy, wow! Be still my beating heart. I need a sequel to this bc I feel some type of way on that ending and alternate ending.
Wow! This was an awesome read, I was blessed to get it as an ARC for my honest opinion and it didn't disappoint. I loved the storyline and the characters. I would recommend this book.
This book was okay but difficult for me to read. I understand that these are identical twins one good and one bad and the bad one makes one to think that the good one is bad, etc. The storyline reminds me of an episode in Law and Order Special Victims unit about twins and the bad one gets the good one in trouble. Anyway, Amarie Avant writes a great story that keeps you guessing and reading more but it drained me! Lol!
How could she not have know ... because of that I don’t buy the love story. I don’t have for one second understand how it got 5 star ratings. The flow of the story was all over the place and sometimes it jumps from place to place. The hero was boring and the Aria was also boring. It is was going to go dark, it should have gone all out.. with El .. just no
This book has left me with so much excitement to read another one of Amarie Avant book that I low key want to rush this review. lol
I just want to start off by telling anyone who wants to read this book to be aware that the kills that happens in this book is epic. Or for lack of better worse kind of detail, to the point i would grab the area on my body, that a person was being harm at and hiss and close my eyes. Just imagining the amount of pain that person would be in. And please don't get me wrong I love that about this book, the fact that you can feel how the characters in the book might feel is a good read for me.
I really enjoy all the surprises and shockers of the book, and the alternate ending left me curious of what would've happen afterward. And how in the heck did he manage to get away, but on the other hand I'm glad that that ending didn't happen. It would be a great ending to a 2nd book about these two characters but glad that this is not the case. The cliffy on that ending would've drove me mad.
I have to say the beginning had me feel slightly weird. The fact that Aria was getting off in a public area, because of Dominic being imitate with another woman. This was really, really, really, creepy to me. I actually was hesitant to continue to read this book just because of that part. It really through me off. But if you can get over that part then you'll end up enjoying the rest of the book.
Finishing this book I was still left with a lot of question, but the most important questions are, Is Aria younger Twin Sister alive or...? What happen to her mother? Does she regret what she has done to her daughter? is she still alive?
Other than that I really enjoy Dominic and Aria story, it was exciting, crazy, and so funny, I really enjoy this book. And look forward to reading Aria older cousin, Siobhan and her husband Lincoln book.
This story was wild as hell!! 50% good and 50% crazy with a capital C!! It starts out with Leanna/Aria stalking the caramel delight Dominic Alvarez. Then he stalks her and in the midst of that she gets caught up in a deadly sibling rivalry. Let’s start with the love triangle between two smoking hot identical twins. I can dig it, even though they look the same they were completely different. Dominic was a sexy Alpha male with a tender, sweet, caring side. While Dario was a wild animal in every way. Two men, same face different sexy styles, one rough and the other bangs your back out while caressing you. I can dig it!! The scenes were fantastic!! I get that with identical twins you might not be able to separate them. But what I didn’t get was why she never asked to meet Dario or why Dom never introduced her? They literally went months without meeting. Then I felt there were moments in the story where the transition from characters and thoughts were slightly off. Anyway, this was a really good story. I loved how crazy and protective Dario was over Aria. Like he was the only one that could hurt her, him and only him to the point that he killed for her. This story was truly crazy and amazing and I loved it. It left me speechless with both endings. Great job Amarie Avant!!!!
Ok so, this was in my recommendation list, although I couldn’t put it down, I wasn’t . . . . Excited about it. Yes I would recommend, but not with high ratings.
I do wanted Aria to be the one to discover the truth. I THOUGHT with her being invested how she was to find out the truth she would discover it. But no. And I was disappointed that she couldn’t figure him out. I mean really, she said it was a different side of him. In the beginning yes I could understand that they were learning about each other. But If your truly “addicted” to someone even his touch you would definitely know the “feel” of him. The writing was good there were a few laughs all in all I enjoyed but I didn’t love.
OMG this story was amazing. Even though I guessed almost right away the criminal, I had fun reading the story and seeing how everything came together. This book was sexy, it had a great story line and I loved the main characters they had awesome chemstry. The h had some chemistry with the antagonist but it was transference (thankfully). This book had so many things that was like WTH just happened. It left you wondering how something like this could happen. Amarie, took us through a very complicated history, present and future. The in's and out of the story kept me on the edge of my sit. It ends with a happy ending, so make sure that you go and buy this book.
Just wow it was crazy and kept u on your toes l but something told me it was the brother way before it was revealed I can’t believe how crazy he really was and the fact that her or dom were none the wiser crazy but I’m glad they finally got their happy ending but there is a twist ending so either there will be a part two or just something to keep your mind going either I really did enjoy this book.....but nothing ever came about for the sister or her mom keeps the wheels rolling trying to figure out what happen to them I know the dad died but what about her mom and I really want to know what happen to her sister
The Devil is in the details… While reading this story Amarie Avant took me through so many new perspectives I wasn’t ready for. Every time I try to brace my self for “anything” she may through at us readers it never works. The focus on internal struggles and how we are changed after life-altering events are felt heavy in this story. How we react to anything that may crop up in our journey often makes all the difference and are the hardest one we face in life. That lesson stayed in my mind from cover to cover. This is a page-turner you won’t want to miss. Amarie Avant excels with twisted plots running all in her romances!
Aria Jones has been living with guilt all her life, but she’s trying her best to make up for it. Messing around with Dominic Alvarez was never part of the plan, but he’s not the monster Aria thinks he is. Or is he?
I couldn’t put this book down, I absolutely had to finish it. The reveal came at about midway through, but it is definitely a shock when it comes.
This is my fourth Amarie Avant book, and I have to give her her props. The story was great, the editing and proofreading were good, and I had no complaints. I had to give this one five stars.
I recommend this thriller of a read to anyone who loves good sex and a great twist.
This book is DEFINITELY a MUST READ. It has so much to offer a reader. The twists and turns and a great reveal. And then more twists and turns. Heck, this book deserves ALL of the stars in the universe. Just Aria and Dominic’s lives alone, are truly worth the time it takes to read and to enjoy the journey of their lives.
It just feels like there’s more to come. I hope so.

This was a really good book I gave it four stars it was very suspenseful great page Turner I really liked Leann and how she really wanted to help her sister even though there was no help for her which got her in trouble Dominic was so sweet sexy Suave but out of nowhere comes his twin brother that cause havoc which she thought she was following him in the first place you would have never known I don't want to give out any spoilers but the book is really good is suspenseful page Turner I would recommend this book for others to read good job.
2.00 Stars. (BW/LM). An Audible audiobook read by JT Farrell, Gregory Salinas and Katherine Dollison. I didn't care for this story, It just was not by cup of tea. Two sets of identical twins, Dominic's twin is the socio-path. Aria is unable to tell which twin is who. The story's format, the path and progression of the story line and all the busyness in-between mottled and lengthened the book..it ran the gamut: at points it was like a romcom, then it was a mystery and then erotic encounters.
Ok. Honestly I recently stopped reading so much because unfortunately my favorite bwwm authors books have taken a dive, but ba bae. Honey you it down on this one. This book was everything. Great job as not just writing a bwwm Alpha male book, but one with substance other than sex. It reminded me of your older books with the way you crafted the story. I hope you are working on the next book.
As much as I really wanted this book to completely captivate me, it didn’t. The bouncing back and forth between brothers was confusing at times, and I would have also liked Aria to be consistent throughout the entire book with her pursuit of justice. If so, maybe she could have figured out which brother was the better man? Lastly, the very last, last, last ending….totally unnecessary.
Amarie is an incredibly talented author. She has a way of building a world where you feel present. Her words are vivid, lifelike, and addicting. Do you want suspense? It's right here. Do you want heat? Amarie always brings the steam. Do you want to be on pins and needles wondering what will happen next? The angst is here. Read #DiabloInside You'll want a Cuban Lover of your own!
This book was something else. I've not read this much crazy ever. Dario and Dominic are something else. Poor LeAnna/Aria, I'm not sure what she did to deserve the crazy that is following her. I did not like the alternative end I g, too much crazy for me. Did enjoy the story, even though it was Cray Cray!
