A very decent guidebook in the current English Heritage style. I appreciated all the many medieval illustrations and the comparative photographs of other buildings. I also particularly wish I had been able to read the guidebook on site as I would then have been prompted visited St Peter's Church in Conisbrough - apparently the oldest building in South Yorkshire - on the same day.
