His name is Hadjar Darkhan, and he still follows the call of his dragon heart.
The War Games ended a few months ago, and the various generals of Darnassus, led by the Emperor, realized that just the disciples of the best martial arts Schools and even the smaller, lesser schools wouldn’t be able to strengthen the Darnassian Army enough to prepare it for what was coming. A war was on the horizon, and every weapon would matter, so losing even the most inexperienced warriors was an unthinkable prospect.
The Empire had never prepared for battle on such a massive scale before. They’d gathered tens of thousands of Spirit Knights and hundreds of thousands of Heaven Soldiers in just a short time. But would that be enough to combat the countless hordes of the enemy? Or were these just the death throes of a once vast Empire?
Hadjar, whether he wanted to or not, would be part of this upcoming war. Moreover, his role might end up being far more significant than he’d originally assumed. Before a decisive battle begins, he must plunge into a maelstrom of war preparations, which doesn’t bode well for him…
Oh man... this was so heartbreaking. Orune, you beautiful bastard. I didn't know whether to hate you or love you but in the end you proved just how honourable you are and so love you I did.
OK so this guy is good, really really good... It's been a long time since a new voice has been able to consistently churn out great stuff... Unlike a lot of wuxia stories this one is not 2 dimensional and kind of flattish... This series is is the real deal with great twist and turns, highs and lows and nicely fleshed lut characters, if u like Sanderson or rothfuss or will wight u must read this series. Also I am genuinely surprised at the quality of the translation...
This book was amazing. I loved the way it switched between Hadjar's past 2 years of training and the present as to give the readers some insight as to what happened during the time skip. My biggest gripes about this book, like in the past few books after the sea of sand, was all the intrigue and subterfuge that Hadjar has to deal with. Especially with his supposedly friends all being his enemies. Not really but they definitely became somewhat closer together during the end. Anyways this is an amazing book and I definitely recommend getting it for yourself.
Damn I’m just so sad there isn’t more to read. This is such a great story and I highly recommend it to any one who’s looking for something new. The thing I love about this book the most is the fact that it’s actually a story and not just a over powered main character running around beating everyone, Or the same thing happens every few pages like they just copied and pasted it over and over again just written differently you know what I mean if you read a lot of books like this one lol. But any ways this is a awesome book I fully support the author with everything he’s doing just wish we could get the new books faster 😂 can’t wait for the extra chapters on patreon
This is yet another exceptional addition to the series. Without giving anything away (I hate spoilers!) there are a few twists and turns (And a nice surprise after the book is finished!) that keep you on the edge of your seat. Hadjar, as always, keeps moving forward. There is all the same whit and fun as t he previous books, as well as plenty of action and adventure. I highly recommend this book if you are a fan of the series, and if your not - Pick up this series right now! This is an awesome LitRPG and Wuxia series!
First, my review: “This was a fun book. I am glad that I read it. You should try it too.”
Second, I am not a bot...at least I don’t think I am. Yes this is copy pasta (just learned that term, so fun!) simply because I feel like any book I read deserves acknowledgement but at the same time my feelings on reviews conflict with the normal review process.
I enjoyed this book, so my goal is to promote it and help the author. If you are a potential reader, just stop reading now and take the above as all you need to know. I am not going to share my reasoning, thoughts on the book, or any opinions that would influence your decision to read it. It is my opinion that Art needs to be experienced at an individual level. You are the only one that can determine what you like and don’t like. Don’t let others make that decision for you. You should definitely read the book and completely ignore all of the reviews. Or not if you don’t think this book is for you. That choice is all yours and the beauty of art appreciation. You are a much better judge of what you will like than anyone here.
If you are a member of the IAK Guild (thanks, Jason) or part of the review police, feel free to criticize me and challenge my philosophy on reviewing art. I think we all love a good debate. The forums are open and I welcome your comments. I was wrong in my previous request to get you to stop. Your blatant disregard for that request has led to some fun discussions. Growth is important for us all.
Good read. Quite short for this series, and the characters are back to being stupid as all shite, I thought the author had fixed this issue in the last two books, but people doing stupid things for no solid reason is back
Good job by the translation team too. Other than a couple of words which felt out of place (for example 'chic' or 'mom'), it was otherwise very smooth.
This is truly an epic series. So many surprises and twists. I really enjoy how the plot develops in a way that immerses you without becoming stale or repetitive. Awesome book and I can't wait for the next book!
Does NOT Disappoint!!! Top 3 favorite luxury series!!!
This book was amazing!!! The way you get sucked into the story while reading itnshowd what a true author Kirill is!!! This book does NOT Disappoint!!! Top 3 favorite luxury series!!! Looking forward to the next book to see what Hadjar does!!!
Man, I love these stories but I keep reading them too fast!
Another great chapter for Hadjar. Can't wait to see what comes in the next one. I couldn't put the book down. I follow his patreon so get to read chapters ahead of publish and even that's not enough to keep me satisfied!
I cannot wait for the next book, highly recommend!
By far my favorite epic cultivation series right now. This book did a lot of work to stay true to the feel of the series but introduce variations to the abilities/mechanics of the MC to show growth and bring new freshness. Really looking forward to the third big arc conclusion after the next book.
I think I might just learn russian just so I could read it as it was written, this series is definitely my favorite one so far. I've read a lot but this book series is something special.
This was another great addition. Finally hadjar takes a step past his group. It always bothered me he went through way more pain, training, and special events yet was equal to friends who stayed at school etc
Story was good I feel like the last 20 percent was rushed there was a build up and then eh ending was kind of flat .. anyways I bought the book to support the author .. thanks for the work see you for book ten
My favorite things about this series aren’t just the action and progression but the moments in between everything where the MC or the narrator analyze themselves, someone else, or the world around them and draw some poetic conclusion to take with them. I highlighted and laughed a lot in this book. We also get to see more of the MC’s master Orune, his dialogue was hilarious.
Strong continuation of the series. New ideas are introduced and story is by no means repetitive so far. Only thing that kinda threw me for a loop were training flashback's I see why they were necessary. But they sort of hindered build up at some places.
Really liked the levelling here and how strong Hadjar looked despite beings a mere Spirit king. Cant wait to see him get stronger and get the second part of his cultivation path book. Some of the flash back scenes seemed out of place / disjointed but overall liked the correlation between current time and flash back. I am hoping to see Hadjar soon in the dragon land with the minister. Till then back to daily page refresh at RR.
This this am amazing installment in the Dragon Heart series. Reveals some things about his past and the future where he's heading. Must read for everyone.
