Been watching the anime of this and thoroughly enjoying it, the manga is exactly the same except for one scene, where Lena is having dinner with her mother. Her mother suggests that she should leave the military and find a suitor, which I quite liked as it showed that she didn't just have issue in the military for her beliefs but she had to also deal with it at home as well.

The premise is cool, with the human race evolving to have white hair, anyone who doesn't is not considered human. So when they're attacked by robots, they send out the 86, which consist of normal people to fight them. They refer to them as unmanned drones, which Lena is in charge of, she doesn't feel the same way as everyone else.

It's enjoyable but the action scenes leave a little to be desired as they're just four panels then it's back to talking.

Another solid entry in these series, but again I feel like the world is still being built. I think there are some big revelations around the corner and I look forward to the creator dropping them on us so I better understand the 86, the legion, and the Alba.

Lena gets a rude awakening in this volume in regards to her unit, death comes for one of the 86, and an interesting twist occurs on the battlefield. Just what is the Legion?

I’m looking forward to volume 3 and hopefully coming to a place in the series where I understand all the forces at play a bit better.

This volume dives a little more into the headspace of everyone in Spearhead Squadron, further exploring the themes of racism within the book and how even subtle actions can make large, albeit unintentional impacts. I honestly didn't expect this Manga to resonate with me so much, but I really do like how it's tackling it's themes. Not to mention, what a cliffhanger!

Better than vol 1 but difficult plot for me to get interested in with an antagonist that is hated for a reason that has yet to be established

I loved this! The first book focused more on setting up the world and introducing the characters so this volume could go right to the action and issues of the world without explaining too much. I really enjoyed this, the characters, the fight scenes, the revelations and that cliffhanger has me super excited for the third volume to come out!
