Hello Fellas! The wait is over. Shweta Desai brings the second installment of her novel “Kaizen- the scattered family.” We read that Dr. Leah decided to step into the new world to save humanity in the last part. As they say, once the things are decided can’t be resist, a ghost from the past rises again and turned the present upside down. In this part, Dr. Leah started her life in Harry’s world with her son, hoping for a good version of life this time. Will she be able to deal with the haunting past and continue to work towards saving humankind? I was delighted to delve into the adventurous world once more with Shweta. Her writing style will leave room for your imagination. The characters come off as realistic, and you will feel genuine emotions for them. I am fascinated by Harry’s strong and decision-making nature. Overall, I will recommend this book to every sci-fi lover and read the first part to follow the story better.
Summary: From the 21st century, Leah has moved to the 25th with her son. She is happy and excited at the prospect of a new life and job but gets troubled when the ghosts from her past begin to rise like the phoenix from the ashes. Harry’s world is turned upside down and his loyalty is tested time and again. Will Harry be the knight in shining armour or need one this time around?
My Opinion: This is the second book in the series of five and I really really enjoyed it. After reading the first book in the series I was so much integrated to know what happens with Harry and Leah, the storyline seems very sorted before starting at but once you start it you will realise this is the best well woven complex read one could ever read. The storyline explorers so much and it is not just a mere science fiction novel, it has a powerful emotional touch with a lot of thrill and drama going on in the backdrop which makes it again more fast-paced and more engaging. I do think that this can be read as a stand alone also but I will definitely suggest you to read the first book and then come to this. I also felt, in a way that the characters have developed a little bit, they felt more new and transformed. I definitely enjoyed it and it proved a bomb read for me.
Good and Bad:
The best thing about reading it was it is so thrilling but at the same time the story doesn't leave its roots, as the science fiction touch gets more stronger through time travel and I realized the author played with many human aspects themes in the story giving it a personal yet a thrilling touch. It felt so good and original.
My favorites from the book:
I liked Harry more in this one, I loved Leah too and certainly this book felt like an episode which shook me again.
Target Audience: Sci-fi and thriller lovers will surely enjoy it.
What to expect: Drama, thrill and an amazing storytelling.
Final verdict: I will suggest this book for everyone. I would say, even beginners can try as its so short.
I really had extreme high expectations from this book and I am so glad that it actually brought everything in it that I was expecting. This is the second book in the series and it was definitely one of those anticipated reads that I didn't want to miss, I picked this up right after completing the first one and trust me we see a complete transformation of Leah in this one. . . In the first book we all witnessed Leah going through a lot of emotional staff and trauma with a science fiction backdrop along with steamy thrill but this one is extremely different and it kinda gets more darker than the first book, from the 21st century, Leah has moved to the 25th with her son. She is happy and excited at the prospect of a new life and job but gets troubled when the ghosts from her past begin to rise like the phoenix from the ashes. Harry’s world is turned upside down and his loyalty is tested time and again. . . The is extremely gripping and I did witness a lot of transformation of the characters not in terms of the depth, I feel in both books the characters are equally well presented but I see a difference in terms of personality and a lot aspects were new and it was just so unique and uncertain. I really liked the fact that story it just doesn't stop surprising you, no matter what kind of a reader you are its sure to intrigue you! Again, Leah is my favourite from this one too and highly intresting sci-fi dash makes it more gripping, there are more natural flavours to the story and I feel it is such an amazing read. I will definitely recommend it. . Rating: 4.5🌟
Title- Kaizen: The Scattered Family Author : Shweta Desai
Review:
“ Kaizen : The Scattered Family” by Shweta Desai is a second instalment of the Kaizen trilogy. Continuing with the lead characters of Dr. Leah Bellmore and Harry Wright from “ Kaizen: A Redo”, the second part welcomes new set of characters with little bit of family drama to spice up already engrossing plot.
Divided in fifteen chapters, the story takes readers to 2499 A.D under the Arctic and in a time-locked space where Dr. Leah is experiencing a identity crisis phase and mourning the loss of Mia, her broken marriage with Andy and distance from Allan, everything seems chaotic to her except the warmth and comforting vibes emanating from her friend Harry, who tries to instil some confidence and help her recollect the pages of her past. On the other hand there’s this academy and her estranged husband Andy who finds himself in the care of Leanlana who has been stationed by his father Alonso. Leanlana’s narration about the past and his father’s involvement in his life opens a Pandora’s box making things look more messy and shady. To know what ensues further buy this super dramatic soup of Kaizen’s second part.
Overall, the second part is fast paced, easy, more convincing, and entertaining as it peels off many layers of mysteries and secrets. If you have liked the first part, I’m pretty much sure that you’re going to love the second part.
This story is a sequel of Kaizen: A Fateful Redo which was extraordinarily interesting. The story of Leah and Andy moves ahead.
Alonzo, Andy’s father in the ocean liner that housed an entire revolution in 2877 heard Andy’s version but was still not happy for what his son did to Leah and Nina.
On the other hand Leah still mourning over her past but happy to be with Allan, his son and glad to be useful, become a saviour of mankind and to do her research coming out from 21st century to 2499. They call it an academy, a time locked space rather it was a whole township, a city under the Arctic Circle a place which was built on fully sustainable and abundantly available resources where she was free to breathe, eat, drink and live.
What was the secrecy of this township? What was Leah’s mission? And what was Andy doing in 2877? What were they preparing themselves for?
As the story moves ahead a new chapter and a phase opens up. I wish author is approached by Big players like Netflix and Amazon to convert this book series into a video series soon.
This is book 2 of Kaizen series. Book 1 was intro about Dr. Leah a genetic researcher of 21st century and our protagonist. She was prevented from murdering her husband so that she can continue with her research on human reproduction.
Book 2 - The Scattered Family begins with the new world of Leah in the 25th century. Leah gets close to Harry (combat fighter of Change from the 29th century), who conceived Leah to move to the 25th century with her adopted son Allan. Here Leah meets Hannah, founder of Change and Harry's mother. This book raises many questions like - What is Trinity? Is Andy alive? Why is everyone interested in Allan? What is the relation between Leah and Allan?
If book one was good this is super crazy. I never knew I would enjoy sci-fi like crazy. Two people who are poles apart finds love for eachother but their ideas splits then apart. While reading this now I feel both the ideas (of Change and Trinity) are outrageous,I find it hard to support any. This very reason make me impatient to read the next series. After meeting Harry and Andy now I'm waiting to meet Freya.
Bought this book after “ Kaizen: A fateful Redo.” I was really impressed by the way author has been able to maintain the quality of the content and keep it engrossing as was the first part of the Kaizen series. With the story of Dr. Leah Bellmore and Harry Wright continuing some new characters are introduced in the book. The story in this part in set in 2499AD. Did Leah actually kill Andrew? Harry is again the guide for Leah in this part. Leah is very sad because of her losing Mia and failed marriage with Andrew. In this part Leah moves with her son Allan and a shocking revelation awaits her about Allan. The drama continues. The twist and turns keep the second part even more interesting and captivating. The reader is fully engaged with the story and things start to run into your mind. I hope you read the first part of the Kaizen series before picking this one up, so that it makes more sense. The writing style is no doubt amazing and keeps one glued to the book. Desperately waiting for the third part.
After witnessing the rapid spill of blood and endless mysterious mysteries, now its the second one in the series where the centre is Leah again. Impressive right? The book starts on a usual note but the year's 2877 a year way too far from the present. The book suddenly makes a turn and the way the pace has been made in the book to make the story appear speedy and engaging to the eyes, author's work appeared to be impressive thoroughly. The life inside of us matters but does Leah get a turn to live her share of life? After reading the book seriously and after finding out how part one ended up, I've noticed new set of things in the book like the way Portrayal of Leah's character once again and different characters like that of Allan, Hannah and Harry has improved. I liked the complete narration which is apt and crispy. Gently the story comes up and spills out the secrets with every page turned. Its like the author has conducted a deep research before jotting down an unexpected storyline where no flaws are visible to the eyes. A book much more than just a storyteller's imagination.
Kaizen the scattered family by Shweta Desai ‘𝐈’𝐦 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐮𝐧 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞, 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲! 𝐈’𝐦 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧, 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝. The sequel book, that I was waiting for! Following the escape of Leah and Harry as they time travelled from 21st to 23rd century, we get to see how Leah comes to 'The Change' the underground organisation. She just escaped Andy, her husband who tried to kill her and now is reunited with her son. In this book we get to know more about the Wright family, the history behind the making of The Change and The Trinity.
It was short and thrilling read, I didn't see the twist coming as I got to know different perspectives, both side of the stories. I felt bad for Andy, Alonso, the whole family they deserved better. This second book is filled with drama, adventure, twists and turns at every turn of page.
Simple short yet powerful storyline, new twists, clever characterization made it a 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Read for me. Can't wait for the third book.
KAIZEN - the scattered family is the second part of the series, the first being KAIZEN - a fateful redo.
This part makes more sense than the first one, the first one was a bit hazy but things begin to loosen up a bit in this part. More characters are introduced and every page has a new twist in it which makes you sit back for a second and process the information.
Leah moves to the 25th Century in this part with her son Allan and a shocking revelation awaits her about Allan. The book has more Drama, more spice and more action. Other characters have been evolved equally, all the side characters play an important role.
The writing and narration is enchanting, it holds the reader's attention. The language is simple and easy.
I love the concept and I love how the book is going further and further, with so many twists to blow the mind.
This is a short read, can be completed in one sitting and will be totally worth it. So I'd recommend it to everybody out there
This is a fictional plot including in thriller and mystery plus this is the second book in the series that I have read. The author has penned down a well paced plot with detailed characters and scenarios in the book. The plot focuses on the same two characters as earlier, one is Dr. Leah, who is now out of her marriage and other is Harry. Earlier, Leah had to go through some turns and twists which has turned her life upside down and Harry was there for her aid. In this part, Leah has put on the tiny steps to move over her past but is it that easy to leave behind the past? Her past comes knocking in again. Harry is again present in this part and even he is not excluded from getting affected in this part. Will he be her aid again? The narration is kept simple and easy yet the turns and twists kept me engaged till the end. The pace is maintained well throughout the book. The characters involved are penned down neatly. It's definitely a treat to read.
It was short and thrilling read. This book is a second part of the Kaizen trilogy. This book is divided into 15 chapters. The story started from the Scattered Family begins with the new world of Leah in the 25th century. Leah gets close to Harry, who conceived Leah to move to the 25th century with her adopted son Allan.
What happened next....? To know more about the book go and grab it now.
Seriously the story comes up and spills out the secrets with every page turned. Leanlana’s narration about the past and his father’s involvement in his life opens a Pandora’s box making things look more messy and shady.
The language is simple and easy to understand. The cover looks attractive and eye-catching. The story-line was very nice. The writing style was also good. The reader is fully engaged with the story. I really enjoyed the book. I would definitely recommend to everyone.

Review Kaizen : The Scattered Family” is a second series of the Kaizen trilogy.
The book is divided into 15 chapters where the story travels backs to 2499 A.D.
The plot focuses on the same two characters as earlier, yet Leah has put on the tiny steps to move over her past but is it that easy to leave behind the past?
Something is always happening and it keeps on pushing you to read forward. The story kept me hooked right from the first page until the very end.
The book's overall offering, it's cover, the blurb is all well-crafted.
The writing style was good, it brought out the creepiness in necessary places and created the atmosphere of drama and suspense mixed.
The book is written by Shweta Desai. This book is the 2nd installment of the kaizen triology.
Now, let's talk about the book. The story again revolves around the two main characters Leah and Harry, however some new characters are also added. Leah is now out of her marriagemarriage and now she is trying to recover and trying to forget her dark past. Harry, as always, being a best friend, is helping Leah to recover from the trauma.
Now, the questions are Is forgetting the past that easy?, Will Leah be able to forget her past?, What will be the contribution of Harry?, and many more such questions and to know the answers, you have to read the book.
The book is well written. The narration is too good. The language used in the book is lucid. You should go for it.
Reading this book feels like entering the dark cave where the Author is constantly playing with our mind by inserting the illusion of light. The interest or curiousity is maintained till the end. When the first part seemed like a complete sci-fic and unique, this book holds a glimse of fiction that every book lover craves for. The title was apt but again book cover could have been better.
If a reader is looking for captivating and unique plot then this is surely a suitable pick. The perfection is at it's best. A regular book reader would enjoy this but a beginner might find it difficult to understand. But if one dedicates their time enough that this book demands, then the reading experience is definitely good. Overall a good read.
The book Kaizen: The scattered family is the second part of the trilogy. It is the continuation after Leah accepting to go to future and work on her thesis.
The Story basically is back dated as it takes you through the life of Hannah And Fredrik and their three kids, and what leads to their separation. You can expect what the third part will have, after reading a part of the past of the book that is. Of Freya.
I also need to mention that the ending and certain part of the book had unexpected twist and turns. But if I compare the first with the second, I would prefer the first as it had the time travel aspect.
Overall Looking forward to know how it all ends...
Kaizen: The Scattered Family is the second Book of the kaizen Trilogy. The plot unfolds in 15 chapters. The book commences with an incipient world of Leah. This all happens in 25th century. Leah who has lost Mia and her espousement has taken a fall, she is endeavoring to control her emotions. Leah becomes proximate to Harry and he conceived Leah to pergrinate with Allan (her adopted son) to the 25th century. The main thrill starts from here. The language used is lucid and the narration is facile yet the convolutes kept me engaged till the terminus. The way the characters are shown is amazing. It's definitely a good read!
