Behind the Mirage
The king of Avalon has assigned Lex the most important job of her life: enter modern-day Greece and assassinate Zeus to stop him from destroying mankind.
As if killing Zeus wasn’t hard enough, Lex has to juggle an unwanted marriage proposal from the king, the threat of war, and the most earth-shattering realization of all: Zeus was responsible for the murder of her parents. Lex travels to Greece consumed with revenge and hell-bent on destroying the god who stole her parents from her.
Things get even more complicated when she crosses into the human realm. She's discovers she's not the only one hunting Zeus, and is quickly confronted with uneasy alliances, vengeful gods, unsolved murders, a shockingly personal prophecy, and the occasional malevolent portal to another world.

It took over 20 years to finish and it has gone through so many changes. It is interesting looking back at where it began and how it came to be what it is today. I started writing as a hobby and looked into getting it published. There were many doubts and frustrations, but I am really happy that I actually went through with it. I hope to write multiple books in different genres; at least try.

The God's will play!
What a great read! I love anything having to do with mythology and gods ,and this was right up my alley. The storyline was well plotted with awesome characters like,Zeus,hades and a few of the other well known God's of Greek mythology and it held my attention. When the fae king Oberon sends Lex one of his best assassin's who he trained and took under his wing after her parents died to kill Zeus,to keep him from starting a war that will kill mankind ,it isn't long before lex realizes that not only is Oberon lying to her in fact he is the one that was behind the killing of her parents and if he's been lying about that what else isnt he telling the truth about.This has plenty of action and I loved kick ass and to the point Lex so much she's a total badass with a lot of attitude! And with other characters like Nathan,Dem and Raider who are part of zeus's imperial guards and who are each very powerful and the truth about the real reason Oberon sent lex to kill Zeus will come out. Nathan is a sexy hot dangerous demon and the leader of this group who wants lex,their chemistry is hot! And the sex hotter. Then theirs Dem he can turn into a very scary beast that is unstoppable once brought forth. And then theirs Raider the charmer And The paranormal version of a male slut ,he has slept with many women but only cares about Jen, she is demi God half human who helped the guys adjust to life in modern day Greece. And Hades, the beautiful God Of the underworld might be beautiful to look upon but he's a deadly viper with his own agenda and you know that's never a good thing. I truly enjoyed this tale! The storytelling was awesome and the plot well done. Can't wait for the next book in this series! Until next time Luv's💗💋

The satisfaction you get after the final completion of the story is just incredible, sometimes you are really happy with the ending and sometimes you feel it could have been better but when complete you heart is just satisfied.
➡️Starting with the title of the book , Being a relevant one to the story the title also has the feature that is easy to understand and remember whereas the best one is that after the viewer reads the title for the first time it gives a certain curiosity to read more about it. The cover on the other hand compliments the title so I would say that the outer appearance of the book is really the one which attracts the viewer to buy and read it.
➡️It's a lot of action. I loved kick ass and Lex is a total badass with a lot of stance! And with other characters like Nathan, Dem and Raider, who belong to the imperial guards of Zeus and are all strong, and the truth about Oberon sending a lex to kill Zeus comes out. Nathan is a sexy and hazy demon and the Lex group leader, the chemistry of this group is hot! And sex is hotter. Then Dem can become a very frightening beast that has never stopped.

➡️This book certainly is a wonderful reading. Also, the language and the words were used were normal and was a normal length read but worth it. The structure was really, simple, making it easy to understand, and the illustrations are also fantastic.

Oh, my! This book was excellent, and I plan on reading it again just so I can make sure I didn't miss anything!!
When it comes to Greek Mythology I feel that there are a lot of books out there that already have told and re-told the same story just slightly different, with their own twist. This book was NOT that. It was very fresh, clean and very welcomed relief of knowing that this story was so unique I hadn't read one like this before.
It is fast paced but not too bad, just enough to keep you flying through those pages but you won't get lost either.
You have mystery, action, romance, fantasy all in one!
I can't wait to read more of this series and from the author!

This book is set around Greece and it is about a girl named Lex. She lives in an Oasis called Avalon. She is tasked by the Fae King Oberon to find and Kill Zeus, because she is Oberon’s greatest assassin. She travels from Avalon to find him and along the way meets a whole cast of characters some you will like, some you will dislike and some you be indifferent to. If you like Mythology then you will definitely like this book!

I really enjoyed this book. It was action packed and ran the whole way though the book. There were a few phrases that annoyed me throughout the book about how she wouldn’t feel that way in the future but they were easy to overlook in the grand scheme of the book! I can’t wait to read book 2 to see where things go!

I'm sitting here trying to find the words to describe this book. The imagery is so vivid, it's like stepping through a portal and watching the story unfold. You can't help but immediately love Lex. She's so relatable despite, you know, not being even remotely human and juggling things that I don't think I could. This is a fae, mythology, and action packed story. There are twists I never saw coming, and I didn't want to put the book down. I cannot wait to see where this series goes!

What a creative story!!
I really loved the concept and the use of Greek Mythology woven into a modern world and the mix of humans and Gods and various other creatures...so much fun to read and get wrapped up in this world.
I did feel like some of the most dramatic scenes were rushed and thus lost some of their punch, but that wasn't at all enough to keep me from reading.
A really good escape and I look forward to more!

My normal read is romance but every now and then I like to read other things.
This Urban Fantasy was one that I really enjoyed being able to read. This is Katharine Ann Meltons first novel and I can’t wait to read the rest.
Behind the Mirage took my mind in so many ways,And lots up unexpected things. If you like Greeks and Gods with some steam in it then this is your book to read.
I loved how kick ass Lex was, and wasn’t talking nothing from nobody.
I’m rooting for Lex and Nathan.
But seriously I recommend this book. It was a enjoyable read and didn’t confuse the crap out me like some fantasy books do..

This book is a great read as it touches the topic of mythology and gods. This genre is found less in book reads easily.
The header of the book is completely in-line with the story line. So the reader gets an easy connect with the book.
The story has a plot that includes the incredible characters such as, Zeus, Hades and other well-known Greek mythological Gods. That’s a real catchy part of the story which is sufficient to grab the attention.
Story’s main character is one of the best assassins of the King Oberon Lex, who he trained personally after her parents died while killing Zeus. How she finds the truth of the past and the takes her import decision of the life; when the betrayal comes in the form of King Oberon himself who had been lying to her all the time.
She had to Kill Zeus and that was her life’s biggest challenge. It was not an easy task for her without getting married and getting closer to Zeus. The kind of plotting shown while making this course is totally impressive.
While in her mind she has the only goal to kill Zeus and progressively what unfolds in front of her is a real story.
The climax is amazing and twists and turn before the climax keeps you flip through the book consistently.
Author has put immense efforts and thinking on each and every character.
The storyline of suspense, thrill never loses the grip and keep the reader engrossed totally.
The language is simple yet expressions are marvelous, after starting a read I couldn’t put it down and got so attached to it.

The premise of the book being a reimagining of a story that included main Greek mythology characters was a huge draw. Unfortunately, I felt the writing was a bit irritating and the characters within the story fell flat for me. I still think it is a great story and is one that could certainly be told through the progression of the next books!

I bought this book because the back cover blurb was so intriguing. Unfortunately for me, the blurb was the best part of the book. Perhaps this book has a different target audience but this just wasn't my cup of tea.
