Portals continue to open faster and faster, spewing more and more aggressive dinosaurs across the world, and the situation has gone from bad to worse. Cities are out of supplies, small towns are being wiped out by the vicious reptiles, and it's taking everything they have for the military to maintain any semblance of order. Amid all the carnage and chaos, Jason, Becka, and Hae-won must journey north to rescue Becka’s mother. Navigating safely through bloodthirsty dinosaurs and the worst humanity has to offer will be no easy task.
This is the type of novel that is fun to read as long as you don't try to be all serious about the choices some of the characters make. I enjoyed the story and that's all that I really cared about.
Well at least the plot's interesting now. But I don't really get the assumption of "dinosaurs are supposed to be dumb, why are they acting smart, did aliens do that". Predators are supposed to be smart, see: basically every modern mammalian predator (which includes the deadliest creatures on earth: us) and several bird species. The dumb predators don't get to pass their genes on for millions of years. Everything the predatory dinosaurs seem to do so far is basic hunting logic.
If anything, the borderline Jurassic Park logic of "if we don't move, they won't see us" (a.k.a. "they can only sense motion") proves the humans to be the least intelligent creatures in these situations, especially since by doing so they're literally going against their own well-honed animal instincts of just running the fuck away.
This book had more places where characters or there was an implausible occurrence. An example of this is having motorcycles unable to outrun dinosaurs on a “smooth, flat road.“ it felt like the author had a plot in mind and was willing to twist facts and personalities to make the story fit that part, even if it didn’t make sense.
Science fiction harem adult situations This is book 3 and there's plenty of action. Some portals are regular while others appear to be random. That said, the army continues to act like things are normal - civilians shouldn't have guns while millions are dead. Roads are becoming impassable due dinosaur attacks or wreckage. Stocks are beginning to run out, and both food and ammunition will become critical. One part that was out of character was the villains took their swords, and while they killed most of those with guns during the escape, Jason and his two women did not go back to retrieve them. Guns run out of ammo, yet they left the swords behind. Instead, there was a sex scene. After they delivered the engineers, they did not go back. And later, when they find the crashed mini-bus, Jason thinks he should the the general about it's whereabouts, but when the discussed about getting the motorcycles back, they don't say anything. No follow-through by MC. Basic rule of writing, if you introduce something or someone as important, follow up on it or don't introduce it all. In the meantime, the government response is underwhelming. The action is good as are the adult scenes, but continuity errors will kill a story. Recommended, but with caution.
Jason, Becka, and Has-Won are off to find Becka's mom in a world of dangerous Dinos! After a minor ride through a high-profile end fashion store to slide an acid spotter looking for a crunchy meal, they make for the A-1 heading North, hoping there are less monsters outside of the city of Cambridge. Packs of Raptors, a Spinosaurus. And unhelpful humans put paid to that idea. The trio find themselves trapped by the Military no are pinpointed questions about their obvious " borrowed" bikes and guns. Taken back to the base set up at a power station, they are forced to.make a devils bargan with the base commander. It seems that the power station technicians were attending a conference a couple towns away when things went pear shaped ,and the Brigadier needs them back. He's sent a two man unit to fetch them back but the town in question seems to be something of a black hole, and headquarters has forbidden him from sending any more troops to find out what's going on. Has the town become one big Dino chow feast, or something else? Read on for a great story!
A very interesting series, set in England, this follows 3 young adults (college kids) someone keeps opening a sort of wormhole and sends actual dinosaurs all over England, after much time it gets too hard to live in their dorm rooms and they take off to go to one of the kids Mother's house that's far north of where they are, they periodically have to fight off these creatures to get where they want to go, they start of by using swards and work up to firearms to kill them, it's a very dangerous trip but they turn into real good dino killers along the way. This series is very entertaining, and fair warning, there are some hot sexual contacts between the 3, two young women and one young man, if that doesn't bother then start the series, as of now there are 3 novels, with the 4th being written now, go for it!
Excellent world building in this book. It paints a good picture of how the rest of England is dealing with the dino threat. I'm curious to know who is behind the dinosaurs since clearly there is some planning being their attack on humanity. I'm curious to know if that female soldier will become a part of the group sometime in the future, or how Bekka's mother will feel about her daughter's relationship. Will the next book see our characters go into an actual portal itself? I cannot wait for the next book
A great addition to the series with tons of action and a little glimpse of different ways human nature reacts to crisis. Great pacing no rushed feeling yet a t the same time it doesn't drag. In top of that an ever expanding list of interesting creatures showing up so even the dino drama doesn't get stale. Can't wait for the next book as this is definitely my favorite series by Logan
I really enjoy this series and the characters are awesome but i was a little disappointed that there wasnt more progress made in their journey. Getting side tracked then blackmailed then making deals that don't really net them anything but ammo and gas for two separate deals was a little frustrating to read but I'm hopeful progress will be made in the next book
If dangerous dinosaurs, badass women and a motorcycle ride through the end of the world are your thing, you'll love this series. And the latest book doesn't disappoint, action, adventure and dealing with survivors, both good and bad. But the characters are getting better at their job, and they just might have a future as Dino Hunters.
Really looking forward to the direction the series is taking, and the next one to come out!
Book 3 continues to deliver as Jason, Becka and Hew-Won head for Yorkshire they encounter multiple challenges, between the British Army, an Arch Bishop and more dinosaurs than you can shake a stick at. Excellent writing building characters that are fun to read with sex that flows with and through the story, not forced into it. I'm looking forward to the next book!
Book 3 sees the action intensify in this adventure that sees our 3 intrepid heroes/heroines trying to get north to Becka's mum. Lots of side quests that help build the characters and see the main storyline progress even further. Now I need book 4 to see what happens next.
Very good book overall, the story was well paced and had lots of action (both dinosaur and girls). Few issues with grammer or words out of place but honestly not that big of a deal. Look forward to the next book. Also wonder in Corporal Grant will become a member of his group later on.
What I liked....the hero/Heroines, the villains, smart dinosaurs, kids being kids, idiotic civilians, knowing where this is going....our heros were videoed fighting the dinosaurs in the church....the Apocalypse will be televised!
This series is fantastic. I really love the way Logan Jacob. Writes the story of Jason, Becka, and Hae-Won. The three are great characters. Who's adventure is very fun to read. As the way they handle the Dinosaur invasion. Is really great especially the way Jason snipes the dinosaurs is spectacular.
Jake and his female companions must rescue engineers an save private individuals
Jake and his two women find themselves pitted against corrupt humans over throwing a local town . Forced to help the English Army on three missions before heading to their final destination . recommended reading excellent series .
Damn I love this series! You can pick up any number of post apocalyptic series and they will likely have badass characters and sexy times but few if any will have all that and dinosaurs!
I am really interested to see where the author is going with this story. How are they gonna close the portals? S lot less swear words and sex scenes which take away from the story.Would have given it a 5 if not for that.
Really like how the characters in these books are evolving. There has been and continues to be so much growth and development with not only the MC but his supporting cast. Looking forward reading the book on this series!
Dino’s hate churches. Haha wonder why. Looking forward to that bit of mystery explained. Seeing people set up as warlords does not surprise me in the least, but I can see it being harder in the UK where guns are strictly regulated.
Series dropped! Damn, Logan book has a good start, but the sequels are getting worse faster and faster. A big military group wants to send these idiot on a mission. MC is getting more and more stupid. A lot of things just doesn't make sense!! Damn shitty filler stories!
As book 3 finds our kick arse crew moving out of Cambridge, they find themselves earning their loot as they learn about and dispose of new saurs and greedy miscreants.
