First Paranormal Book
The beginning is a little slow but when the book hits. It HITS different. I love the story and the interaction between the characters. Asher and Alyssa, lone wolves or mates? Asher, Alpha or follower? All in due time.

I liked it but I feel like it's missing a few things quite a bit. Like about Alyssa as uncle. Was he part of them. It acted like he was their 4 a extremely short spot then nothing else. It's really good that Asher followed his cousin 2 finish his dream, and figure out wtf is going on with his uncle. The last part of the book is kind of confusing cause it feels like it's unfinished 2 me. I'm assuming his dad died but they never talked about his mom any. I'm assuming he killed his uncle but I don't understand his uncle's part in about his wife and how she died and what is the deal with the bears, etc. That whole last part is confusing 2 me and leaves alot off. I have sum unanswered questions all stemming from the last part.

I’m not new to the Rogue Enforcer world but with each new author that writes in the series my favorite author list grows. Livell James is no exception to that.
James has grown the RE world to include Asher, a man who doesn’t think love exists for him. A man who never seems to be on top even though he has untapped abilities. He’s stuck in a pack whose Alpha is corrupt.
The plot line keeps you turning the pages. Finding out if Asher can escape or even find lasting love in all the chaos is what had me up all night to finish.This is a must read for me and I highly recommend Asher to anyone who is looking for a top notch paranormal romance read. Livell James has yet to let me down.

As we continue with the Rogue Enforcers series, we have yet another fantastic book added. Asher has his own issues about family and his own inner turmoil. He reluctantly makes his way back to his uncle and fathers pack. Asher wants nothing more than to live the lone wolf life, he'd left his pack after having enough of his uncle and father who have taken a once-thriving pack and torn it apart, a tragedy has forced him to return. When he returns home and finds out the shocking truth of what his uncle, the alpha, has been doing and that he may be responsible for the death of a beloved pack member Asher finds himself having to make some serious decisions. Alyssa, a nurse comes to help her uncle in the clinic of the Raine pack she soon learns that things are not the way they are supposed to be in a pack and that the Alpha may be involved with things he shouldn't be. Alyssa and Asher never expected to find their true mates but soon discover that they are fated to be together.

Lots of action and adventure. Great World Building. Sexy Asher has a tic. Lovely Alyssa thinks it's cute. Asher is an alpha, the Alpha of his lack (his uncle) is evil and Asher just wants to get away. But Alyssa and his sister are still at the pack. The story is compelling.
