Connor The walls of my kingdom are crumbling under the weight of demons. One wrong move and I'll lose my family forever. My inclination has always been to make moves on my own but as things get darker I wonder if I should. Will my family still have my back if I go rogue one last time? Lilith With every passing day I feel the chasm between Connor and me grow. His secrets hang heavy like a curtain between us. I want to be there for him, if only he'd let me. Absolution is a novella that should be read after Relentless.
Nichole is a contemporary romance author. When she isn't writing, she's chasing her four children around. Writing has always been her aspiration but it wasn't until her husband suggested she actually follow dreams that she took the biggest step. Her debut novel, Cold and Broken exceeded her expectations and she can't wait to share more of the stories taking up space in her mind.
Her other hobbies include baking, listening to music, and reading. She also has an obsession with true crime podcasts and cheesy 80s movies.
So you all know by now I'm OBSESSED with this series, and this novella did NOT disappoint!!
Yes it's over-the-top and dark and deliciously smutty, and that's why we LOVE IT!!
I also love how this author, while having some truly ridiculous stuff happen, does take any violence or abuse seriously. She has her characters struggle with these issues in a realistic fashion, no instant fixes, and with lots of time and therapy and I really appreciate that.
Connor and Lilith reminded me why they are the OG couple, with smut and sass and Lilith being a bad ass per usual. JUST READ THIS SERIES OKAY????
I received this ebook arc in exchange for an honest review.
I was lucky enough to receive an advanced copy and I wasn't disappointed. Greene's trademark 'dark and delicious' was evident from page one and I was HERE for getting back into Connor and Lilith's story. I can't say too much because spoilers, but fans of the Titans will not be disappointed!
Absolution is the perfect novella for the ToFR series! We get to see a much darker side to Connor. He will stop at nothing to protect Lilith and his fellow Titans, and I would expect nothing less from him. This book also features all of the others characters that we know and love which was great. This novella is slightly less than 100 pages but it is full of action and emotion and a must read! Quick note, Absolution does need to be read after Relentless.
ENG ::
This series has been amazing and it has kept my attention (sometimes series get tiring for me). Not the case here though.
Connor and his friendship with Griffin and Levi is something I love and admire. They are unconditional with each other and that’s amazing!
Lilith is one of my favorite heroines ever. Great personality and she never allows anyone to mistreat her, which I love. Also, her relationship with Connor is adorable and I’m super happy with what’s happening with them.
Waiting for the next book, with my favorite Titan and the girl I was shipping him with. ❤️
**ARC Review*** Oh my goodness, I was lucky enough to be selected to get an early copy of Absolution and let me just say Nichole Greene did not disappoint!!! I fell in love when i read Cold & Broken (Connor and Lilith’s story) and Relentless (Ivy and Levi’s story) and when i found out that there would be a book mainly from Connors POV, I was like YES PLEASE GIVE IT!!! ♥️♥️ you get to see the start of everything in the first book and then see how things grow in the second book and then this novella bringing in the dark side of their world is epic!!! I want to say soo much more about this book but if i continue talking i will give spoilers and i definitely don’t want to deprive anybody of excitement that they will get reading this book!! NICHOLE GREENE, you are incredibly talented and you rocked this book! Thank you for writing this beautiful masterpiece 🥰🥰🥰 I’m excited to hear everyone’s thoughts when they finally get to read it!!!! Also looking forward to your next book in the series 😍😍😍
I always try to end the books I start, but with that one I just can't. Seriously, I'm not only struggling but it's worse than anything I read lastly. I'm at almost 50%, but it's quite difficult to finish this novella. It's boring and repeating moments from the previous book. Instead of narrating something completely new it comes back to the proposal of Levi which by the way is wrongly narrated by the author. The only new point was the abduction and revenge driven by Victor and Connor to Ivan. On the other hand, and to compare the lacking coincidence with the stories of the different characters, for example, in "Relentless" Levi was helped by his dad, Griff and Lilith, driving Ivy himself to the camp (to propose her) and in the novella is his dad who's driving Ivy. This is huge mistake when the story supposedly follows a clear line, which I think it did not and the author herself doesn't remember what she wrote. I don't recommend any of the books. It's a loss of time.
I'm obsessed. It's dumb. I'm working on it. Greene takes it away again with Absolution. This was the quickest read, but that didn't take away from the depth, the reminder that some of my favorite characters still have lives and stories or that... well... Titans of Founder's Ridge is one of my favorite series. The author just has this incredible ability to project individual voices into characters that make them so strong and so deep. Is this a romance? Yes. Is there still action? Yes. I have said it before and I will say it again, these books are NOT just steamy romance with a breath of a story for relevance. These go all the way, every time. There's not one part that upstages the other when I look at plot, setting, romance, and smut. It's a menagerie of literary genius and I'm here for all of it.
I loved stepping back into Con and Lilith’s story. I was so eager to read this short novella after Relentless. The statement she made to Ivy regarding her and Con left me anxious. These two were definitely made for each other immediately in book 1, but he’s been keeping secrets from everyone and those secrets came back in Relentless and left the girls hurt- especially Lilith. Now Con’s forced to face his past, but he still doesn’t want to involve Lilith in any of it. And that only drives her away from him and the guys. I loved seeing the dynamic of Griff and Levi with Lilith. Their relationship is really special and the bond they share is touching. This was short, but definitely really great! Now finally on to Griff and Claire’s story! This series has been addicting and I can’t recommend it enough!
A little more Connor and Lilith was just what I needed, and this novella did not disappoint in the least!
We take a deeper dive into Connor's past as he unleashes some of his darkest secrets involving his uncle. We also get a more clear picture of the family dynamic between he and his sister... and their mother. This book holds one of the best father-son relationships, with their level of trust with one another and mutual respect... seeing the progression of that relationship from the first book to this one is just something I adored.
I cannot wait to see what happens next for the Titans of Founder's Ridge.
I loved another Connor POV. He's my favorite!! I enjoyed seeing more of the depth his character has. I'm so grateful for the ending the author gave. My one thing - Still same story line with this BS of orbiting around Lil. Two parts where it's like Griff is longing for her and that it would be fine if she wasn't with Connor. Booo on that! My brain just has a hard time with the small nuances of the guys wrapped up in her.
Still recommend the series and the author to others though. Looking forward to Griff and Clair. Then the weirdness goes away and everyone has someone that means the world to them.
This is the fisrt series I’ve read from Nichole Grenne, and let me tell ya, I’m addicted. These characters are each one of them so special in their own way. They’re strong, fearless and feisty at the same time. I really believe Connor and Lily are soulmates, the intensity of their love are so deep and profound that make me wish to see this in person. Their compatibility is amazing and their chemistry is of charts. I was really afraid that she was gonna cancel the engagement, I suffered until the lasts pages just to be sure!!! I love it
Devoured the 2nd part to Conner and Lilith’s story although this is technically the 3rd book to the series. Conner had a lot of Growing to do and Levi and Griff make the Trio so much more entertaining but the brotherhood was very tight and despite all that was thrown at them they always came out on Top hated that Conner and Lilith separated for a time but understood the significance and ramifications of Conner, Levi and Griff’s missteps by not including Lilith. Exited for Griffs story in part 4.
WELL. I knew Connor was messed up, but finding out exactly why he's the dark, moody young man that he is, was—to be honest—heartbreaking.
I adore the Titans of Founder's Ridge series and I was eager to get back to my favourite couple. Absolution did not disappoint and was a truly tasty morsel of a read. If you're a fan of Connor, Levi and Griff - you need to get this book ASAP.
I was given an ARC of Absolution in return for an honest review.
This novella was everything! It gave us so much Connor. Made me mad at him, but understand him. It also put some stuff in his live in jeopardy too...like himself. I'm so glad everything works out, like most things do in Nichole 's books, but that's what makes me love reading about this crew in Founder's Ridge! Super suprise ending and a fun preview about Griff and his love life! I CAN'T WAIT for the next book!!
This is a great series to read. So this is a short novella but it touches more on Connor and his demons. You also get a little more information from what has happened in the previous books. This book discusses the horrors that Connor has experienced in his past. I love that not only do the women in this book suffer from horrible issues but it happens to men too. I teared up reading some of the things that has happened. At the same time you see Connor, Levi and Griff let off some steam, regroup and become a stronger family. What a great novella to read!
But seeing Connor and Lilith and the gang grow and evolve is bittersweet too. Finally getting a glimpse at their HEA.
My only con is the twin thing. Identical twins aren’t hereditary. They happen randomly and whenever. It’s fraternal twins that run in families and all that jazz. But this is fiction so there’s that 😅
Still loved and enjoyed the story and can’t wait for the next one!
Nichole has delivered again! Can’t get enough of these Titans. It was nice to catch up with Con, Lily, and the rest of the crew- in their adult lives. They deliver the steam and the action! But....the best part of this novella was the segue into what I am hoping is Griff’s story. The final piece of this puzzle! Very much looking forward to more Titans!
This little book wad heartbreaking and captivating at the same time! We got a more in depth look at why Connor was the way he is! And I still love watching Lil put those boots in their places!!! And of course it would end with me wanting more of Griff!!! I love this group
What a great short catch up with Connor and Lilith. So sad to read his story and know the heartbreaking childhood he endured. Connor and Lily are perfect for each other. Can’t wait for the final story in this series.
I didn't think this one was necessarily necessary to read, being that it is a novella (not book 3), but decided to read it anyways. It is absolutely necessary to read. Important stuff goes down AND we have a happy ending at the end!
This is a awesome series. I love Conner and Lilith. I can’t wait for Griffs book and hopefully another another novella with all of them for an epic ending.
Getting a small look into Conners trauma explained so much about his character. I loved this little slice we got in this book and the way it set up the next book! I can’t wait to read it!
Maybe 3.5 to 4 stars. Short novella, not too bad. Didnt enjoy the conflict between Connor and Lilith, or Connor and Levi, but it all resolves itself for the HEA at the end.
Loved this series so much. I really loved Claire a f Griff! I can't wait to read more by Nicole Greene! She is a great writer and excellent storyteller.
I read Cold & Broken (Book 1) and Relentless (Book 2) this year and quickly became obsessed with Nichole’s writing and her characters. This novella was the perfect wrap up to Connor and Lillith’s story and I can’t wait for her to continue this series. It's bittersweet that this is technically the end for Connor and Lillith but at least we will still get sneak peeks of them here and there in the next books (hopefully!). Make sure you follow Nichole’s author page on Instagram because she has some exciting updates on the next book in the series. 😍 𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐬: 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘳 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘥𝘰𝘮 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘴.
