Tomorrow isn’t promised, no matter how immortal you think you are.

In the aftermath of Vivienne’s capture, she discovers she's destined to become one of the forgetful P.A.N. The devastating diagnosis leaves her questioning her relationships—and her place in Neverland. While on her second recruitment mission, she ignores a cardinal rule, and one of her fellow P.A.N. pays the ultimate price for her mistake.

Outrage over the death spurs Lee Somerfield's growing rebellious faction to fight fire with fire, leaving H.O.O.K. in ashes and Neverland ripped apart from within.

Navigating new love and old secrets, Vivienne must now face the consequences of her actions … and decide if living forever is worth forgetting everything.

“Hopeful that you could love me that way I love you.”
“What way is that?”
He whispered, “To the point of madness.”

It’s been nearly a year since Vivienne Dunn has run away from her foster home, to join her fellow People with Active Nevergenes (PAN). Following Viv’s first assignment, she discovers some devastating news regarding her nGh levels. Meanwhile, Deacon, Crown Prince of Neverland, is stuck on trial in London. Tasked with a second recruitment mission, Viv breaks a rule meant solely to keep the PAN safe, which results in deadly consequences for one of her PAN members. Lee Somerfield’s disdain for Leadership and anger over the death, spurs his rebellion and retaliation on HOOK and Neverland, the land of fairy tales, has become a place of nightmares. Tomorrow is not promised, no matter how immortal a fairy tale tells you are. Will Viv be able to escape her destiny as a forgetful or will she voluntarily choose neutralization and be grounded?

What a roller coaster ride! Up and down. Hot and cold. One step forward, but then ten steps back. I was on the edge of my seat! Where is my brown paper bag?

Jenny Hickman did a fantastic job keeping me on my toes, willing my eyeballs to read faster. HOOK was so entertaining, like something out of a soap opera. Deacon Ashford! 🥰 That Neverboy will steal your heart in HOOK. His unfailing loyalty and wicked sense of humor. He’s a little Noah Calhoun (The Notebook) and readers witness his growth in this story. Several scenes will leave you a blubbering mess🥺, in a puddle of goo over Dash’s actions. Even Peter Pan has noticed a change in him! Speaking of Peter, he’s got JOKES that will have you snorting 🐽 with 😂laughter. Jenny’s secondary characters, Emily and Lyle, are amazing! Emily is a doll and Lyle’s outright dislike for Deacon is hilarious. Lyle’s nickname for Deacon! 🤣 Dead! And clap 👏🏼 it up for Nicola, calling out Neverland’s resident bad boy, Casanova. I mean, Deacon. You go, girl! 👏🏼Neverland...a place of magic and community. Perfect for fans of Peter Pan, Toodles, and the Lost Boys. HOOK is a story with the classic elements of the beloved fairytale with a 21st century twist. Give it a whirl!

Thank you, thank you Jenny Hickman for HOOKING me up with an advanced reader copy! I'm going to be bugging you for more of my OTP!

well well well, look who binged on this book and left with huge eye bags for next couple of days! Hook picks up few months after where The Pan is left off, Vivian is left alone at Kensington while our boy Daecon leaves for London to serve his time as a result of his trial, the MC's deal with long distance and miscommunication on one hand while danger still looms over Vivian. Jenny Hickman knows the pulse of the audience, the second you realize you are going to be frustrated about how everything is going- she leaves a sweet surprise. I love how she carried the spirit of Neverland and lost boys all through the book.

We get to see the star of the show Mr.Peter Pan and you will get to know where our boy Daecon gets all the charming English Man traits from, I really enjoyed learning more "HOOK" side of back story and I have to admit I did not see that coming. I thoroughly enjoyed The Hook as much as I did The Pan, maybe a bit more than PAN because of the brimming tensions and lots of angst ;)

If you looking for a binge worthy series, definitely pick this one up and I will be here to say "Welcome to the P.A.N.DOM" ;))

If you’ve chosen to read a romantic YA (?) Peter Pan retelling you probably know what you’re getting into. For what this is, it’s delightful. Delightful enough that I stayed up until 3AM to finish it.

The Hook was just as good, if not better than Pan! I can’t get enough of Deacon and Vivienne! I can’t wait for book 3 but at the same time, I’m not ready for it to be over! Hurry up August!

"𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕?"
"𝑻𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔."

The Pan was just the start.... but The Hook is where the magic happens.
PAN left us with Deacon heading off to London and Vivienne in Neverland... a little stress on a new couple with jealousy problems?
That'll work out nicely.

The second installment navigates new found love, jealousy, self discovery, friendship, some dumb mermaids... oh and the discovery of Vivienne becoming one of the forgotten, and losing her memory.

Hook is full of action and emotional turmoil which had me drinking too much adult kool-aid that is often contained in a wine glass.... and stressing about my OTP.

Deacon was the boy who thought commitment was a pair of pretty handcuffs... but now he's seeing he may just be one of the lucky ones, and it's time he proves to Viv that he is all in, no matter what they say her ending is.

We're in this together. Whatever happens, I'm by your side.

Out of all my reads in January, The Hook took the cake.
I was cheering, screaming and swooning with each turn of the page. Jenny has a talent for writing a magical tale we all know and making it NEW.

Also this is YA with a cute little cover... which will help disguise your warm face and blushing from the people around you. Thats right grandma.... no dust jacket covers to hide this sexy NEVERGENE-boy.

Rating:
story- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
romance- from "just a crush" to "soul mates"
steam- " it might just be FLIRTING and stolen kisses but its enough to make you nervous to share this book with Retired Rita who sits in the 3rd row at church.

Picking up a few months after The PAN, The HOOK tests Vivienne’s relationship with Deacon with every page. The more she learns about his past, the more she finds herself questioning what she means to him. With her presence putting those she cares about in danger, she finds herself facing a future outside of Neverland.

The HOOK is a steamy sequel, suited to upper YA readers and adults who want to feel as though they’ve never grown up.

I love this series ❤ 😍
It's so damn gripping and dramatic.
It's a long time since I've read a book in one day.
This second book in the trilogy is even better than the first one.

This suspenseful and action-packed page-turner makes you anxious and excited at the same time.

Deacon's and Vivienne's story is a nerve-wracking and maddeningly complicated tangled of intrigues and disastrous situations.

They don't seem to have a quite second to take a breather for themselves from all the catastrophic events that follow them both everywhere.

Every time you think, finally they had find the ultimate happiness,  something or better someone interfere with their lives.

I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the last book in the trilogy 😀

P.S. I really love Peter Pan. It would be extremely helpful if his grandson developed a little bit earlier his character traits 😂

Just as much magic as the first book with even more drama which I loved. I’m excited and scared to see where it all goes. I love Vivienne and Deacon and really really loved the Neverland portion. A little less of the boarding school vibes but way more adventure. Nothing will beat the first book but this was so good

Like the first book The P.A.N., The H.O.O.K. keeps you on your toes and wanting more. The book dives more into HOOK and even Vivian and Deacons relationship. There were many times I had to keep reading to find out what happens next and when I got to that point I still was eagerly awaiting more. There are some additional characters that you get to read more about and they are very interesting. It’s hard to write about the book without giving spoilers, but be prepared to board this rollercoaster of emotions (falling in love with characters, seeing if they make the right decisions, sitting on the edge of my seat, witting, crying, excitement) and just wait till the end! Jenny is a great writer making you want more. I’m impatiently waiting to read the third book and see where Vivians journey takes her.

Firstly, thank you so much to Jenny Hickman for providing me with an ARC for The Hook. I've read a lot of amazing books lately, and The Hook is no different. I was hooked (get it?) from the start and finished it in one day. I will definitely be buying a physical copy, just so I can have that beautiful cover in my shelf.

This definitely suffered from second book syndrome. There was no real plot at all. There was no character growth at all. Deacon suffers from lack of communication skills, and Vivienne suffers severely from trust issues. We saw this in the first book, but there should have been some growth. I loved the first book so much, but this book was just a bunch of relationship drama that was extremely frustrating (more than angsty, just aggravating). I was very disappointed. I felt like I had to force myself to keep reading. I’m still going to read the next book, and I’m hoping this was just second book syndrome and the next book will be better. Please!!

Hello? Yes ... I'd like to report a crime scene. Mhmm ... well, I read this book, you see. And it freaking SLAYED me! In interviews and videos, the pretty author in Ireland smiles, makes jokes, says she prefers to read happy books. Well, you could have fooled me, Hickman. Why did she have to go and do that? I wasn't expecting it. My f****** chest was aching, eyes were burning. This author's a savage. This book was even better than the first, and I'm still so impressed with all the small details that brought this book to life. It's action-packed, original, magical, and yet still so believable. Very impressive! I sorta maybe ... possibly ... quite frankly have a thing for Deacon and Peter and Jasper ... and Alex ...

Okay, I have a thing for every male character in this book.

Thank you, Hickman, for letting me read this book early. I can't wait until it comes out to order my physical copy and sit it right next to my first!

Cue: Lost Boy by Ruth B

It’s a short while after the ending of The PAN and I must say that I am glad to be back at Kensington Academy and even happier to be back in the magic of Neverland. This swoon-worthy sequel stole my heart more than Book 1. Deacon is still the sexiest lostboy this side of anywhere, the banter is steamier, and Vivienne gets more powerful page after page.

Vivienne is fully embracing her Active Nevergene and is going out on recruiting missions while our favorite flyboy Deacon is back in London on trial. A series of devastating and emotionally charged events leave our couple spinning. I had moments of feeling my heart was so full it would burst, to feelings of wanting to slap a certain lostboy then kiss him, to tears in my eyes. It was an emotional rollercoaster and I never saw a single moment coming. From Chapter 1, I was completely immersed in this world again. We get to know our side characters a little better plus we get to meet some new ones including the legendary Peter Pan himself and just as we would suspect… he’s up to no good, and we love him even more for it. I would actually like a whole book of Peter Pan, please.

“𝐈’𝐦 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐲. 𝐈’𝐦 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐭. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐲-𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫-𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫. 𝐖𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞. 𝐖𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐨 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬.”

But, will our couple survive the nightmare that Neverland has turned into? With a rebellion on the rise and the threat of HOOK, can our lovebirds overcome the odds? Faced with obstacles like the risk of losing Vivenne’s memory and immortality, Deacon’s scandalous past, and a couple of stupid mermaids… Can Vivenne & Dash win out the day? Let’s just say The HOOK delivers on all fronts and will leave you begging for Book 3, The CROC. Perfect for fans of Sci-Fi, slow-burn romance, fantasy, and Peter Pan.

I really loved this sequel. I already fell in love with these characters in book 1 so this sequel continuing their life was so enjoyable. There was a few annoying parts of back and forth between Vivienne and Deacon but I really couldn’t get enough of them. Like I was annoyed at their fluffy love and a lot of Viv’s decisions but I couldn’t stop reading too. So much ends up happening. Then the last part that happened made me feel a good bit of suspense, I had no idea how it was going to end. I really liked everything about this one even tho it’s just mainly about Viv and Deacons relationship. Lyle was the perfect love to hate character. Go away Lyle!!! Lol. And all of Deacons exes made me cringe. Ahhh!! I felt all the feels. I really really love this world. Even tho it’s like ours there’s just that bit of fantasy tweak to it, like the concept of the PAN gene and then this one includes mermaids. It just all sucked me in so easily. Anyways I’ll have to stay vague cause of spoilers but all in all I’m very excited for book 3. I hope the author allows me to have an ARC of it because I can’t waittt!!! Also I just bought a paperback copy of book 1 because how pretty are these covers?!? Love them!! Can’t wait to have these all on my shelf. 😍

I have to admit that I am really invested in this re-telling. The way Jenny intertwines all aspects of the original Peter Pan into a modern twist is amazing. We even get to meet the mermaids in this book. And they're about as friendly as they were before.

The Hook is set a couple of months after Vivienne was captured by Hook. We get all the drama between Deacon and Vivienne trying to make their relationship work. Deacon is put on trial for his past actions, while Vivienne learns some life-altering news. Vivienne breaks a rule meant to keep The Pan safe that risked the life of a fellow Pan member. Vivienne gets punished putting more distance between her and Deacon and possibly ruining their relationship. Lee Somerfield, the leader of the rebellion, and some other take action when leadership does nothing over a death of a Pan member. A place where people are meant to be free and be who they are is turning into a dark, restricting place where people can't act on their own free will.

The Hook is definitely a bumpy, wild ride. We get a perspective into someone who works for Hook and it will take you by surprise. Relationships and loyalties are tested. Deacon's past comes to haunt him and Vivienne. Tension is high and people want to take action.

The only issues I have with this book are the immaturity of Vivienne and how everything happened so fast, it felt rushed. I never felt so bad for Deacon before. The poor boy is trying really hard and it seemed Vivienne got mad at him over everything. She is young and it makes sense but there were a couple of times where I wanted to slap some sense into her. The amount of patience Deacon has is mind-blowing. It just made me love him even more. A lot was going on in this book and every challenge that came in the character's way was resolved rather quickly and easily.

This isn't by no means me telling you not to read the book. I am definitely telling you to read this Trilogy. The minor issues I have with this book don't overpower the story of the book. Anyone who is looking for a good, cute, and fun re-telling, I will recommend this Trilogy. I am excited to see what the final book brings and will probably binge it the minute I get my hands on it. Kudos to Jenny Hickman for this fascinating story and for bringing back my love of Peter Pan.

“I’m allowed to be angry. I’m allowed to be disappointed and hurt. This isn’t some fairy tale where we get to end our story with happily-ever-after. We’re going to disagree. We’re going to fight. But eternity is a long time to go without forgiveness.”

Well to say that I swooned is an understatement, I devoured this book and sleep be damned. If I thought The Pan was already good, The Hook was impossible to put down kind of good.

For the record, Jenny Hickman is a savage. She chose to break my heart from the very beginning of The H.O.O.K. and still wasn’t satisfied she dropped a bomb about Vivienne learning that she’s destined to be one of the forgetfuls. Yes, 50 First Dates kind of forgetful. Vivienne being herself made bad decisions after bad decisions that resulted into a catastrophe.

With a new guy, an old flame and a certain mermaid in the lives of Vivienne and Deacon, I was on the edge of my seat praying that my OTP survives. When it feels like they’re finally making progress, something will happen and shatter that progress and more. It was an emotional roller coaster and I may or may have not cried a bit. It was too much, it was heart wrenching and stressful that had me pulling my hair screaming up to the end, there was so much doubt I’m still worried days after reading. My heart was shredded to pieces and was taped back for a temporary relief.

The Hook was a true test of love and devotion (between the characters, main and side characters) and patience for the readers as some characters could be quite infuriating you’d want to smack their heads. I’m OBSESSED, too invested in this story and I want everyone, I mean everyone to read this well-written book!

This book actually blew my mind, I’ll be honest and say I went in not with the highest expectations okay because I really did wanted Deacon to wake up and realize he was been well not a very good boyfriend and that Vivienne truly needed him.

But guess what? Jenny did not disappoint. Deacon’s character arc in this one he blew me away. His growth and maturity really just was done so brilliant let’s all give a round of applause to Jenny because she did that. Oh Vivienne sweet Vivienne she had some growing to do of her own and she still has something’s to work on but wow I left this book loving her and Deacon so much. I love the insight we get behind jasper’s mind he’s definitely one of my favorite characters and I can’t wait to get more of him hopefully.

I loved seeing the world continue to grow, the world Jenny built in the first was amazing but this? Was just perfect. I can’t wait to see where she takes us too in croc and how she does it.

Please you guys read this book. Just please.

Side not kinda spoiler but it’s completely adorable and justified but Peter Pan’s dogs all being named NANA just warmed my heart.

Ohh my gods, this was better than I’d hoped for!! This was almost like Peter Pan meets the movie 50 First Dates, if that tells you anything. Jenny made sure I was punched square in the feels more than once.

I gotta be honest, I was worried that Deacon wouldn’t change much. But I’m glad he proved me wrong!! His character growth made me so proud. :*) The lengths he goes to show Vivienne that he loves her had me clutching at my heart, it was so good!!!! Deacon and Vivienne still have a lot of issues to work out in their relationship but I couldn’t be more happy with the direction this story took. Now I desperately need the next book!!

"We're in this together. Whatever happens, I'm by your side."

This was so good! It's packed with so much drama and action! It had me majorly stressing at some parts especially the beginning and then the middle and then the end. 😂 It's a rollercoaster of emotions but I loved it!

There were a couple times I got so mad at a certain couple because of all their hot and cold, lack of communication. But thankfully I quickly forget because I'm once again charmed by Deacon's sexy smooth talking! He is H-O-T! I can't enough of those two together when they're a team! They need to just communicate and trust each other! Their chemistry is so good that you can just feel it sizzlin' off the page!

I LOVED LOVED seeing Grandad Peter Pan. Some of the moments with him were my fav! It makes me so happy that he's so team Viv and Deacon! I just adore this series and characters. Can I join Neverland crew?!!

This is such a fun, modern retelling of Peter Pan and I can't wait for more!! Hoping this next one doesn't give me too many heart attacks!! I've got Viv's back and if another girl makes eyes at Deacon I will take her out! 😂 Definitely recommend this if you enjoy lots of drama, action, adorable characters and a great romance to root for!

I listened to the audiobook and raced through this in two days. I was not as much a fan of the HOOK and I was of the PAN. I enjoyed the brief parts with Jasper, but he got so little page time. This part of the series was a lot more petty relationship drama and less story progression. So many misunderstandings and jumping to conclusions. Vivienne's guilt complex became repetitive and got old fast. She spent the whole time going back and forth between love/anger with Deacon and guilt/hating herself. I know she is 19 and teenagers have strong unpredictable emotions, but augh.

I don't want this review to just be negative because I am still enjoying this series and am about to start the 3rd book, but this volume fell flat for me. And the author needs to find other ways to describe kissing besides crashing their mouths into one another. Instead of romantic it comes off as violent. Every time. You could get drunk taking a shot for every time someone's mouth crashed into another's.

"I'd rather have one lifetime grounded with you than a thousand years flying alone."

If I thought I loved The PAN and I'm assured now that this series is wonderful. This sequel did not disappoint. I especially loved Hickman's ability to capture the youthful joy and trickster-ness and show it to the reader. Keeping alive that feeling of never growing up, all while continuing to show maturity and growth in her characters. I appreciate that the relationships have conflict, but didn't overly center on lack of or poor communication. I'm so excited to see what happens next. Can V and Deacon weather the storm? I'm dying for a HEA here!!

So this sequel was just..okay to me. Everything wrapped up too nicely. The conflicts ended abruptly and I just wish things slowed down a bit.

Vivienne was not my favorite on this. I absolutely loved her in The Pan. I understood her jealousies and securities but it was too much. She was always mad at Deacon and at times I was hoping he would just find someone new. I really wanted to shout at her. There were times where I felt her feelings were justifiable and I could understand where she was coming from, but I was mainly on Deacon’s side.

Deacon def shows slow growth; he’s slowly starting to grow up a bit. I did question some of his decisions to keep certain things to himself. All he needed to do was communicate with her, but then again he would probably have to deal with Viv’s jealousy. There were a lot of cute moments between the two though and I really enjoyed reading that.

Emily is still the best BFF and I grew to really appreciate Nicola. She told both Deacon and Viv off with things they really needed to hear. She’s becoming a favorite. Lyle annoyed me and I’m just not impressed with him so I honestly could care less about him, though I think Emily may have a crush..we shall see.

We do get a sort of new perspective which I enjoyed because I feel like this person is going to play a crucial part in the last book.

Overall, I did enjoy reading this but it’s not my fav. Def recommend and will continue to read the last story to see how it ends.

INCOMING.

BLOG || INSTAGRAM

A rant is incoming because I can’t even with this book.

First and foremost THERE WAS NO PLOT. NONE. Nothing happened.

The whole time the book focused on Deacon and Vivienne trying to bang each other but they keep getting interrupted. Or my personal favorite, they would get in a stupid argument and blow up at each other without communicating whatsoever to turn around and get back together within a chapter. AAAAAAAND the MANY instances of CHEATING that was played off as nothing. It was cheating. It should be taken seriously. Goodness gracious the rage I felt was next level.

I just couldn’t handle the level of immaturity Viv and Deacon resonated. They’re older teens (19 and 26). You would think they would be a bit more rational. I’m just begging for a little.

I am definitely not continuing this series. Even if a few side characters were okay and the only redeeming thing about this entire book.

Overall audience notes:
- YA Fantasy Romance
- Language: a little
- Romance: kisses to closed door scenes
- Violence: physical altercations, fires, gun violence

Ok I love this series. The back and forth of the romance made me want to punch the MCs in the face and tell them to communicate. However, it was just some YA angsty, fun, romantic and unputdownable story.

So many emotions while reading this book. I'm not joking when I say I did not want to put this book down!

This book is a direct continuation on from Jenny's first book "The P.A.N." in the PAN Trilogy. I wouldn't really recommend The hook as a standalone, just for the fact that Jenny gives us such an amazing insight into Neverland and the HOOK in book one. The PAN really sets the tone to this Trilogy. The HOOK, also ends on a little cliffhanger. I'm not going to lie, I usually hate cliffhangers, however I am so invested in Vivienne and Deacons relationship, cliffhanger or no cliffhanger I was going to read the next book.

This book has a lot of twists and turns and it really keeps you on your toes! Their relationship is not easy and I loved it! It also has a little bit steamy.
There are a lot more adventures that includes, mermaids, HOOK, Peter Pan and lots more.

I genuinely can't even put into words how much I loved this book, and this series. It has it all romance, danger, excitement and angst! I can't wait for the next one!

This book gets a massive thumbs up from me!

Thank you Jenny Hickman for providing me with a copy of this e-arc in exchange for an honest review!

As usual I’m not too sure where to begin.

As far as the plot goes I think it was extremely creative! The author has a good way of allowing you to understand the characters and feel as if your a part of the story. There were a few moments though that were a bit slow but it wasn’t all that bad. After the slow parts, the plot always picked up to where it was hard to put the book down.

I loved not only getting to meet the new characters but also getting to learn more about the ones previously mentioned. It was cool to see who Peter truly was in this book, in the first one he was sort of an extremely famous mystery. And getting to learn more about Lyle was extremely interesting too! All of these characters are so unique and special in their own ways. (Although I am not a huge fan of Alex, but that’s to be expected)

The only reason I gave this book four stars is because of it’s slower parts. Other than that, when I finished the book I was speechless. The way she writes these unexpected plot turns is amazing!

(This is the main spoiler part)
Also, don’t think I didn’t see how Vivienne happened to forget things at her job. I have a feeling book three is going to be an intense one, and I couldn’t be more excited!

I absolutely adored the first book. I had gotten an ARC and could not wait for the others to come out. But, life happened I forgot about this series and only remembered about it when I was scrolling through my kindle books. I immediately ordered the entire series in paperback and started reading them again.

I still love the overall storyline, it’s such a unique take on Peter Pan and I read the entire book in a day to see how the story would unfold. But, I was so disappointed in Deacon and Vivienne in this book. Maybe it’s because I’m older than the true target audiences or this series but I found them incredibly immature in how they were dealing with their relationship. Vivienne’s jealousy was obnoxious and Deacon kept making such stupid decisions. Neither of them were nearly ready for how serious their relationship became and they needed to learn how to freakin communicate. But, I still love the series overall and anxiously ready the last book (which was better)
