9 TOMES pour que cette série obtienne un 5 étoiles et qu’on ait un focus sur le pdv de Nisaka. Mais as Trixie Mattel once said: "If you haven’t ever watched 7 seasons of a TV show for one gay kiss, you’re not gay". Aka moi qui attends la backstory de Nisaka pendant 8 tomes.
J’ai vraiment vraiment aimé ce tome qui crée un lien entre les différentes façons d’aimer, ce qui est un peu au centre de la série, quoi. Je suis tellement heureuse d’avoir la backstory de Nisaka, il est vraiment le perso avec le meilleur character arc avec Ririna (qui joue aussi un rôle important dans ce tome, enfin quelqu’un qui call out l’hétéronormativité)
J’ai hâte de voir comment tout ça va se poursuivre👍🏻

I want to give this volume (and this series, for that matter) MASSIVE credit for showing the struggles of gay people wanting to get same-sex government notices. I think this is easily the most realistic aspect of the entire government system and I will forever applaud Musawo for showing the complexity and inherent bigotry in this government system. Thank you, Musawo, thank you very much.
That being said, I have a big issue regarding Nisaka's backstory. As a straight, cisgender woman, I obviously have no experience with discovering my sexuality like gay people do, but I feel like his backstory is overly dramatized. Like, dramatized to the point of being offensive. Yes, I know the Incarnation of Drama Porn has taken over the story, but I can't shake the feeling that Nisaka throwing up after seeing his girlfriend naked is something a straight person would THINK a gay person's reaction would be to seeing the opposite sex naked. Maybe I'm wrong, feel free to leave a comment saying yay or nay, always looking for feedback, but that's how I felt.
What I did like (aside from the new info about the Yukari System) is how determined Neji was to make things right. I also appreciated Lilina and Misaki offering their perspectives and advice and effectively giving Neji the kick in the ass he needed to properly apologize for his actions. Also, I REALLY appreciate Lilina informing Neji that him kissing Nisaka could be considered sexual assault. Thank you, Lilina, for reminding our dear viewers that kissing someone without their consent is NOT sexy, it's sexual assault.
Despite my issues, I did like this volume for what it did in terms of worldbuilding and character growth. I'm hoping Neji and Nisaka can mend their friendship, as it is obvious that they make great friends. I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes from here, a shame I have to wait until the new year for the next volume...

Oh my goodness
Backstory and neji being a hero. He is kind and passionate and loving and caring. This whole book was a tear jerker for me. I hope yall like it.

+ de très intéressants questionnements autour de l'amour, de l'homosexualité, du désir et de la normalité.
+ beaucoup de tendresse et de bienveillance malgré des mots parfois durs.
+ pour le 1ère fois dans cette saga j'ai eu mal avec les personnages.
+ j'ai adoré l'histoire de Nisaka. Elle est tellement touchante.
