How do you forgive the one who shattered your family? How do you forgive yourself, if you were the one?

There has been much to celebrate in the Archer family. August’s grandmother has been rejuvenated by late-life romance, honeymooning with the man who has waited so long for her. Her mother too has found love again, and even her best friend has come back into her life. With her own true love Faolan, August can finally enjoy just being an everyday couple in their little Maryland town—even if the mother of his child has been an irritating presence in their lives lately (and even if that bond is something August wonders if she’ll ever have with him).

She knows she must keep up her fight training, and with Faolan’s help she’s learning to control the fierce power emerging within her. Yet August wants nothing more than to heal the old rifts in the Archer clan, and bring her estranged aunt Blair home. Blair Conall, however, is not a lady to be trusted. Having deserted her family years ago to secretly marry the leader of the lycan clan, the Archers’ ancient enemies—and later plotted his downfall as well—she is a complicated woman with her own plans and her own rules.

But back in their Scottish homeland, the Lycan Council crafted a vicious and twisted scheme to rebuild their power. Reaching across the waters to Baltimore, they send a bloodthirsty killer after August, while calling on their monstrous cousins in the city’s rundown waterfronts to set a trap—and who better to bait it with than Blair herself? August may soon find that the most dangerous enemy is the one you call a friend, in this third book in the Red August series.
