King Of The Streets, King Of My Heart: A Daddy's Gurlz Spin Off
This spin-off starts exactly where Daddy’s Gurlz ended. This time, we get to know the other supporting characters a little bit more. First, there’s Aries Washington. Aries is a boss in every way, running her own business as a prominent hairstylist in Miami, Florida. She is in a relationship with Jahquez, and the two of them are going on eight years together. With all Aries’ success in life, only two things are missing, and that’s marriage and kids. But is Jahquez ready to give her those two things? Then, there’s Nyne Diaz. Nyne is dating Caine, who some may call the king of the streets. Caine is running things in the drug world, with Cartier as his right-hand man. When you’re the boss, it often puts you in a situation where you’re grinding so much that you forget about your loved ones waiting at home. Will Nyne have to compete with the streets, or is she willing to bow out now because she doesn’t want to compete for Caine’s time? We also have Cartier and April. Cartier is a fine piece of chocolate who can have any woman he wants, and he wants April, but April just doesn’t know how to keep a man like Cartier. Lastly, there’s Benelli and Phantom. Life for them is going pretty well, but there’s just one stumbling block. Take a ride with these ladies as they hold down their men, who are the kings of the streets and the kings of their hearts.

The Diaz sisters are back on my radar. It was nice to read up on the sisters again. The way the drama is stirring up it’s just the beginning.

Have you ever watched a movie or read a book, and the sequel is just as good, if not better than the original? Yea that part! And this is just book one of the second series! Patiently waiting ... sike! I’m lying! I’m so hyped for book two in this series! This book is definitely 5 stars worthy! Uzi, Benelli, Nyne, and now Beretta! Wesson’s legacy!

Let me start by saying I really don't care for Nyne. She is a whiney crybaby. The situation with her friend had me looking at her sideways. She lied and only blamed the friend in that situation. She felt like her reasoning was enough to justify it. Now Aries, I love. I love that she's a boss and is down for her from.

The Reaves and Diaz clan back again
So this is a continuation from Daddy’s gurlz and literally picked up where the last book left off. I will say out of all the sisters Nyne is my least favorite sister. I get that she’s been through a lot but she’s the most selfish out of the three. We also get more story about Cartier, Caine and Aries. Overall this was a good continuation and I can’t wait to see where all the drama leads us in the next book!

The series moved quickly with a few spag errors, but nothing of note. I will say the biggest drawback and why I found myself skimming some pages were the extensive monologues that often added no value to propel the scene forward because many held repetitive content.
I devoured this series in one weekend and was engaged from the onset. I won't say which 2 characters I saw a lot of myself in lol. I would recommend this series and it's a spin-off to anyone who loves a hood boy who falls in love. 3.5 rolled to a 4

Aries reminds me of Nyne but an older version lol 😂. They were both naive regarding their no good men. They were an embarrassment after these no good men for real for real. Aries knew Jahquez is creeping and she continues to stay with him. I’ve no sympathy for Aries until she gets strength to leave that POS. Some women emotional because they have history with their men, but they will stay in the relationship being stressed and unhappy because they don’t want to leave due to “comfort”. Hoping she will heal and get her life together because she’s a boss!
Jahquez he was just selfish and trifling IJS. No further words will be wasted on him, but I know he will act crazy when Aries get the strength to leave his no good behind. Some men dish out but cannot take it. There’s going to be chaos. What he did to Aries was way below the belt.
Nyne continued to be immature. You think she will get better due to having a daughter. She knew she when she get involved with Caine what this will be but she’s acting brand new SMH with her naive behind. She keeps comparing Caine with Kofi which just keeps getting annoying. Kofi did a number on her that she’s emotionally scarred and her trust is at zero. If I was Caine I would leave her to get herself together and get into therapy. I still got to realize she’s 20 and still got a lot of growing up to do. I wanted to skip her reading chapters IJS.
If it ain’t one thing is a next for Nelli. Poor soul going true some stuff. Phantom was very supportive. Sometimes you wonder why some authors write what they write, but that’s their vision. Uzi even though she plays tough she does have a heart of gold for her sisters and nieces. She’s also a passionate parent.
Cartier have decisions to make with his situation with April so let’s see how that will go. Some women make stuff bad for themselves where these men take care of their lazy behinds and now you stuck because you got no job or coins. April was just trifling and a gold digger lmao 🤣.
Cartier and April were crazy AF. Both their mouth slick as hades. It’s interesting to see how this situation develops because the heart wants what the heart wants.
Loco will always be my MVP and he’s about his business and family.

My opinion. There was a few things that I need to shed some light on. Believe it or not I understood where Teema was coming from with the issue with Nyne and Caine so she was not wrong for speaking on it. I ask you about a man you said he have a girl come to find out he never have a girl and you end up with the same man I was taking interest in would have me looking at you a lil funny. As much as I love LOCO and PHANTOM they know they wouldn’t want nobody pulling up on them checking them about what’s going on in their home even though they was coming from a good place. I love Aries and when you in love we do crazy stuff. None of this is her fault but we as women got to know when to walk away. Once you’re no longer on the same page it’s not gone work no matter how much you love some one. Quez was not wrong for not wanting kids or marriage but he was wrong for not wanting to let Aries go so she can get what her heart desires. On to the next one

The Diaz sisters…Uzi, Benelli and Nyne are back like they never left. Each sister is dealing with their own personal drama, and then they get hit with the plot twist at the end.
Uzi has laid down her gun, and traded it for her career and family. Benelli and Phantom are somewhat low-key, and Nyne is fighting hard to not hold Caine’s street hustle against him. Their biggest struggle is balance. Now, Aries seems to be the breakout star in this book. She’s not happy with Jacquez and Cartier is beginning to look better each day.
I didn’t realize how much I missed these characters until I opened this book. Another page turner by @_diiamondddd_ that I highly recommend.

A great read and it picked up where Daddy’s Girlz left off. I still love all the characters but that Jah I could do without. I’m happy Aries is starting to fool with Cartier. I didn’t like April from the previous books. I didn’t see jah doing that to Aries but I hope she bounces back. I really enjoyed reading Daddyz girls and to see a spin-off I jumped on it quick. It feels like the story didn't end but picked up rights where it ended, I was excited to see what else was going to come of the crazy Diaz-Reaves crew bcz we know they bring that noise. It's good to see the light being shown on Aries I was secretly hoping she would get rid of the jerk she calls a boyfriend. Seeing as though he did the job himself I'm glad I just hope she stays away.

Wow this was crazy!
First off Jahquez is a total F-Boy! He wanted his cake and eat it too! He knew good and well he was a cheating dog and Aries deserved better. I wasn't even mad at her and Cartier. That last night was a whole fool! He will definitely get dealt with! The Diaz sisters have been through so much now another devastating discovery. This just keeps getting better and better! I'm seeing a recurring issue with the books, there are many grammatical errors, extra words, etc. Editing is really needed!

Diamond, oh my every cliffhanger is better than the last. To see Aries going through so much unnecessary mess with Quez is such a real situation, sometimes we allow the wrong energy to get a place in our lives that they really don't deserve to be there.

Whew book two me now!!!!! That ending was a jaw dropper. I'm so happy that the gang is back. Of course diamond didn't disappoint. I hate jahquez and I can't wait until he gets what's coming to him. I want Aries to get her happily ever after and to get everything she wanted with jahquez with somebody else before he take his last breath so it can rubbed in his face. If you haven't read yet you are so missing out!

Yes! I’m still on this roller coaster ride with the Diaz / Reaves family. Everyone is doing well with parenthood, Marriage and adjusting into a somewhat normal life. Aries and Jahquez relationship isn’t doing to well, I really don’t care for him the least. That ending though!! When you look, You shall find.

I love this crew we got so much new drama. I love how uzi loves her sisters. She puts them first. But I agree with benelli no more snooping for them. I didn't like jahquez from the begining when Aries felt she needed to find him to see if he was in girls faces. Glad that Nyne is more vocal. Cartier is bae. Part 2 can't wait

Aries made me so mad. Just let Cartier kill Jahquez lol if a man knock my tooth out I know something. Nyne better get it together because Caine ain’t gone keep putting up with her insecurities and I know April wasn’t the one for Cartier. I’m glad he got rid of her but I don’t think he’s seen the last of her
