On a hot and humid morning in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, two joggers find the body of twenty-three-year-old Kimberly Levesque. Her lifeless body had been dumped a few feet off the running path, under a bottle palm, the night before. Witnesses saw the car of the man who killed her and wrote down his license plate number. Open and shut case, or so it looks. Cole Ballinger returns in Scapegoats, the fifth installment in the Sunrise City Series. Join Cole as he teams up with two unlikely wannabes from Jensen Beach. Will his new friends be a help, or more of a hindrance? Find out in the pages of this action packed mystery.
I don't mean just the Sunrise City books , I mean everything Rodney has on Amazon. His writing is comfortable and entertaining. His writing reminds me of Robert Parker who wrote the Spencer series. My only complaint is that his stories are short. I consume them in one sitting. Very enjoyable. Read them all.
What else can Cole Ballinger get into? I hope Mr. Riesel doesn't make us wait too long! Love the way he ties his characters from other series into each series of books.
John and Kurt appear in this installment, as well as a couple of wrestlers (one former, one current), a new dishwasher of short tenure, and an old-school Mafia boss.
What a story and of course Cole has the ability to add lots of facts to why he is still crime busting and helping the friends he has out of trouble great story looking for more..ciao from Costa Rica and Bobbie and I hope you all have a great 2025 ...
