It actually gives me the hebbie jebbies! I tried replacing every "daddy" with baby, but it still was there. This is a quick hot snippet in the Vegas Underground series. Alex and Jenna were an interesting couple in a quick hot steamy read. I swear these Italian men love to give spankings! 2.5 stars bc of length and to beat a dead horse... "Daddy"
Ok, Mafia Daddy was Alex and Jenna's story and boy was it hot! I am so glad that Alex and Jenna got their HEA without Jenna's father separating them for good. This was the first mafia book I've read where the mother's words became law... and I enjoyed that immensely!
Although, I didn't read this series in order, I recommend readers do!
Read this one in daddy dom bundle.. it was a very quick read.. you can read this as a stanalone or read the series.. you meet in the first book she was suppose to marry Nico.. another mafia family son but that didn't happen.. so her father makes sure his right hand man brings back his daughter..things get hawt and heavy between the two.. even more so when she calls him daddy.. 😍❤ can Jenna get to live out her dreams? Or is her father going to arrange another marriage.. plus is Alex going to stand by that.

My own fault - I thought baby in connection with Daddy - wrong. Just not a fan of "Daddy" in the bedroom. This was a quick read that wasn't horrible, just not my favorite.
Plot: At the end of book 1 in the series (King of Diamonds), Jenna met with Nico, her intended, and they agreed to call off the marriage contract between their families. To help that sink in, Jenna took off to let the heat die down. Finally, her dad sends her bodyguard, Alex, after her. Unfortunately, Jenna is in love with Alex and is not okay with the idea of him fetching her back to her dad for another arranged marriage. But Alex isn't okay with that either - he's been in love with Jenna for quite a while now, He knows her dad doesn't mean for them to get together though. But one thing leads to another...
Commentary: While the other books in this series all have an age gap, some larger than others, this one actually goes there with the Daddy kink, and it's no wonder. Alex has been Jenna's bodyguard long enough that he's seen her grow up, and I bet in many ways, he's been a father figure to her. As in the other books of the series, Alex has a moment where he realizes how much she means to him and also realizes that he means that to her as well, and it's such a sweet realization, because ultimately he's a man of action and it won't stop there - he will get his girl! I loved that he stood up to her dad, but I also loved that the mom (finally) stood up to the dad. That made the difference.
Next book in the series:Jack of Spades or Joker's Wild, depending on whose list you're following for the order. Jack of Spades makes the most sense to me.
I have to say that this was a well written novella. Usually, with novellas, the insta-love is just so unbelievable because it’s such a fast paced story because the author has so much to get into in just a few chapters. With this plot, our main characters have been pining for each other for years, but there was a marriage contract (read about this in the first novel) that kept them off limits to each other. So, in this novella, when they basically get the go ahead to act on their feelings, it’s not that unbelievable to see them go to love really fast because the foundation of their feelings was already there.
The reason for the deduction of the 1 star:
-I’ve never been a fan of the “daddy” trope, or having a woman call her man daddy. I understand a lot of people do enjoy that, but it’s just not for me. No matter what, hearing “daddy” makes me think of my father and he is the LAST person I would ever want to think about during sex. I just can’t get past it. I know, I know, this short story is titled “Mafia Daddy” so I really should have known, but for some reason I was expecting a pregnancy trope or something.
Overall, it was a good and steamy novella to give us a quick story about Jenna and Alex who are side characters in the first novel.
Mafia Daddy is a short novella for which the only purpose it is written is to tie up the loose end of whatever happened to Jenna Pachino, Nico Tacone's forced intended. In King of Diamonds, Nico gave Jenna get lost money in order to marry the woman he did love, Sondra Simonson. After all, no one leaves La Famiglia or La Cosa Nostra and hedges on a commitment.
Alessandro, Don Giuseppe's right-hand man, solider or henchman, whatever fits, finally catches up with Jenna in the Spanish island of Ibiza to drag her home to Chicago. Jenna has had the hots for Alex and vice versa, they finally have sex, yadda, yadda, yadda, Don Giuseppe accepts their relationship, end of story-HEA.
Mafia Daddy only rates 1 star as I couldn't get past the creepy "daddy" situation going on in this story. Not my thing. The title is definitely misleading so if you're expecting a story with a baby involved-not happening here, you may want to steer clear. I wish I had.
um...I didn't care for this one. It's short and maybe that's the problem. Also, Amazon and the authors website have this book listed as book #2 in the series, which makes sense because Alex and Jenna are part of the epilogue of book 1.
I didn't feel a connection between Alex and Jenna. Like at all. Not to mention, a Don would KILL Alex for what he did with his daughter. It doesn't fit the 'mafia' world if you will. The ending was also so unrealistic and really was rushed.
I simply can’t say this enough: if you’ve never read a Renee Rose novel… you are in for a five-star treat! “Mafia Daddy” is incredibly well written, demonstrating Ms. Rose’s unique talent for writing women’s erotica. With a subtle hint to characters previously encountered in both “The Russian” and “King of Diamonds”, “Mafia Daddy” re-immerses fans as well as new readers into a world where Cosa Nostra and dominance reigns supreme. Fast paced as well as thoroughly engaging “Mafia Daddy” is an intense thrill ride of emotion with one hot Mafioso hero and one adorably, competent heroine. “Mafia Daddy” is guaranteed to start a five-alarm fire you won’t want to put out!
So, grab that fire extinguisher and get ready to put out the flames… “Mafia Daddy” has arrived and you’re about to be owned!

Jenna is overseas away from her father after a longtime arranged marriage was finally called off. It wasn’t a marriage she wanted, and Nico Tacone is bankrolling her escape. But now Don Giuseppe, her father, has sent his soldier, Alex to bring her back home.
Jenna has secretly fantasized about Alex, but she knew nothing could happen with this farce of a marriage contract. When Alex finds Jenna, she has been drinking in a club and dancing. In her drunken state, she gets a bit amorous with him. Alex knows that to cross the line with Don G’s daughter is a death wish, but the desire between them is mutual. When she calls him Daddy and acquiesces to his demands and desires, he is a goner. But what happens when Don G calls and insist they get home and that Alex had better not touch his daughter or else?
Alex truly listens to Jeanna, her hopes and dreams, and what she wants to do with her fashion and marketing education. She has a solid plan and one he believes in. But now that they are returning to Chicago, what will become of her dream and of them?
“I’m definitely going to take care of her. She’s my girl. The only person in the world who really knows me. Who I can be myself with.”
I had so much fun reading this. But the problem with short stories is, well, they're always seem too short, at least for me. I wanted more details (and more drama haha), because I enjoyed Renee's characters so much, I want to have them for as long as possible. Everything developed so fast I thought I was missing some important parts, maybe because they were in love already, I don't know. Very good either way.
Just a short story. If you have read the first book in the series then you remember Jenna was the one Nico's Dad had made a marriage contract with her father when they were just babies. He was supposed to marry her to join the families but Nico went and fell in love with someone else and married her. Jenna didn't want it either so until he got out of the contract he paid her to disappear. This is what became of her.
I was thrilled that Alex and Jenna get their story. Yes, it's short but it's packed full of emotions, hot sex and characters I just fell in love with. Alex is determined to make Jenna his, no matter that her father is the Don! Just about anything Renee Rose writes is going to be good. Pick this up and enjoy a hot and quick read!!!
I'm so so glad Jenna got her Happy ever after. Alex is so dreamy. I want an Alex of my own. Even though this is a short story, I didn't feel like I was missing anything. It was perfection!
I loved catching up with Jenna after her great escape, and finding that she got the man she was after. Sexy, sweet, and if you want a short but captivating read, I highly recommend.
This book is one of my least favorite ones in the Vegas Underground series. It was fast-passed, a little bit steamy and it had a happy ending. Overall it was ok to read.
I wanted something lighter, shorter, and this next book fit the bill nicely. The conflict is pretty light in this one, so it’s mostly filled with a couple who have long lusted after each other and finally get together.
