Ethan

I feel the weight of his eyes on me. The hottest man I’ve ever seen leans against his bike, staring at me from across the road. Everywhere I go he’s there, watching me, or so I thought. When my roommate, Ian, says he’s been watching him too, I can’t help but be disappointed. Crazy, right? That I would want a stalker? His eyes burn a hole through me when I walk past and I want so badly to feel his hands on me. But I’m a nervous mess and happier picking up a rag and cleaning than talking about my feelings. Nobody like him could want someone like me.

Knox

The minute the beautiful man stepped out of his house, I knew he was mine. I watch him to keep him safe, and once I’ve fulfilled my promise to my best friend, I’ll work my way into his life. When I haven’t seen him for days, I decide the time for waiting is over. He keeps me at arm’s length and won’t let me love him like he deserves, but I want him and one of these days, I’m going to take what’s mine.

Our books are a little bit dirty and a whole lotta sweet. They’re low-angst, contain explicit mm lovin’, insta-love, possessive alphas who take what they want, #caveman, and maybe a virgin or two. Our books are solely for entertainment and we may take a few liberties along the way. You’ve been warned.

4.5 STARS

I was so excited to get Ethan's story, and it didn't disappoint. This story has more backstory than the first, and I appreciated getting Ethan's motivations for his hesitancy in starting anything with Knox. I think some people would get frustrated in the push and pull, but I loved it. Knox was just so patient and loving, but still Alpha at the same time. I just adored him. It's been difficult to rate because I loved the first book, but I loved this one more. It seemed more weighted than then first, and I really liked that. These 2 just seemed so perfect for each other. I loved Knox for supporting Ethan's degree, but ultimately letting him live his ultimate dream of being a homemaker. i really loved the epilogues. I can't wait for the next one. I am still saving my 5 for the rest of the series. I might have to back to re-read once the series is complete.

P.s. I loved the Bon Jovi reference!😁

Ethan was an interesting character, he seemed to want things but was afraid to ask or demand them. Knox knew what he wanted but was afraid to push Ethan too fast and actually push him away. I actually felt sorry for Knox because at times Ethan seemed to give off such mixed signals 😳. The more of the book you read you understand Ethan and his history for being hesitant for reaching out for what he wanted.
I loved Knox as a character, he was a fantastic and caring friend and was so sweet and patient with Ethan.
Once Knox finally convinced Ethan he was all in, well let's just say Ethan was quite the surprise under that timid exterior. 😂 Together they were hot 🔥 once everyone got on board! Low angst sweet read about finding love and having the courage to reach for it.

I don't like both of these characters approach of one another it was really bad.
Tho I enjoyed the possessions this could've worked out way better between the two of em
I just don't find the chemistry for 45% of this book until suddenly Ethan did a personality shift at some point in this book and suddenly they became compatible, that was just so abrupt.
This follows the same formula as the first book even the epilogue is literally the same but I do enjoy some moments.

My goodness, this one was so different than Sullied. Well, I thought I would be getting the same vibe as Sullied. But no, that's not what happened. I was surprised but in a good way.

Knox was actually so sweet towards Ethan. Ethan had a hard time trusting someone. There's a push and pull going on between them and I know why Ethan did that. I'm glad the misunderstanding didn't last long. They did talk like an adult. That's comforting. Knox was so patient with him. I thought he would just manhandle Ethan just like Nico did with Ian. Lol. No, they're totally different people. I love it when an author did that. Just bring each character to stay true to the story.

I really looking forward to reading the next book in the series. You can read this as standalone if you like. But come on, you're just going to miss all that fun behind. I still remember how I laugh a lot at Nico's antics. I do admit the one thing that makes me want one-click Sullied so fast is the tagline.

I totally can't resist that. I read the sample, I'm hooked, one-clicked. 💕💕💕

Where to start with Ethan and Knox? *sigh* These two were so adorable together.

We met Ethan and Knox in book 1, Sullied, and knew that they were going to get together. I was happy that the book took us back a few weeks to see the evolution of the start of things for them.

Ethan is a little neurotic and a lot adorable. He struggles to find his place in everyday life and is going to college and graduating with a degree he doesn’t want.

Knox is fairly happy with his life with the exception of missing his “one.” Now that Nico has found his one, Knox is missing him more than ever. Knox knows that Ethan is his one, but tries giving Ethan a little bit of time to acclimate to the idea.

To say that Ethan pushes Knox away is an understatement. As adorable as Ethan is, I was slightly frustrated with the mixed signals he kept throwing out. Thankfully, Ian sets him to rights and what follows is a sexy good and growly time. Ethan’s past does play a little catch up with him, but Knox handles that like a Boss.

The epilogue was fantastic. I don’t want to leave any spoilers, but will definitely say it is very satisfying. I am loving this series. Super sexy MCs, intriguing story line with the concept of The One and heat that burns up the sheets. I will definitely be continuing with this series.

Content Warnings for book: Parental abuse, references to rape, toxic jealousy, controlling and abusive behavior

Kink: N/A

This book has two stars because it wasn't as bad as the first one - in that Knox is willing to be more patient and discuss things with Ethan than Nico ever did with Ian - but the writing and pacing just felt slow and a tad boring at times.

However, even if Knox waited more, during that time he stalked Ethan and that's well, not great? My issue isn't even stalking content, it is just the fact that the authors don't mark this as any type of dark romance or trigger for this. However, more importantly, is there is still toxic jealousy and controlling behavior. Such as: choosing to drag Ethan where he pleased after a certain point, the way he acts out possessively similar to Nico, it's just a bit much.

It's short, so that's a bonus, but I was skimming quite a bit because I just wasn't really gripped by their story. The push and pull and lack of communication wasn't all that fun, to be fair. When you have 100 pages and less than half of them are devoted to them not being together, I think that is a loss.

After reading this and the 4th in this series, I think I’m done with this author. Just no substance and not well written. This one was also pretty toxic, Knox is ridiculously demanding and controlling from the beginning of the relationship. Then Ethan, having understandably been like “WTF, no,” is portrayed as the one with the problem and grovels. There was an interesting setup and possibilities with how a type of control might work for Ethan based on his upbringing, but he had no consent in the matter. I know this is a “mine/claimed” type of series but the other one didn’t do this.

I also cannot with the nickname “Beauty,” personally.

This happened at the same time with the first book and I don't recommend reading it as a standalone despite putting different MCs under the spotlight. Ethan was Ian's roommate who kind of ran away from home and being cut off by his family. I suspect he has a bit of OCD and very low self-esteem. He's like a rabbit to Knox who kind of predatory and stalkerish. Knox and Nico was so different in so many ways. The alpha domineering aspect was toned down a lot considering how sensitive Ethan was.It was so sweet to see how Knox pull back so much to pursue Ethan *dreamy-sigh* Anyway, this second book was definitely not a disappoint to the series. Highly recommended for those who enjoyed Sullied

I read the blurb. I knew going in that it was insta-love, possessive alphas, caveman stuff (my first foray, actually). So I should have been prepared, right? Hmph.

It should have been ridiculous to me how OTT caveman this was. Like, to the point where I just said, "Oh, FFS. I just can't with this!", and close the book and move on. And then I'd turn the page. And the next page. And then the next. Don't get me wrong, it WAS ridiculous to me. But it turns out I didn't care. On the one hand, Knox is so stalkerish and "MINE!" that in the real world, anyone in their right mind would have had him picked up for stalking. On the other hand, pull my hair and drag me home, baby! The primal part of my brain was all, "see? He WANTS him! That's romantic! We'd love for someone to claim US like that! Just walk up and say 'You're mine and I will take care of you and keep you safe'! If only that would happen in real life! *swoon*". And my real-life brain leaned in and whispered, "restraining order".

*big breath* That being said, I loved Ethan and Knox as characters. Ethan had a lot of shit in his past that contributed to him being the neurotic back and forth guy he was. I kind of liked how he really just wanted to keep house for someone. It's totally not me, but why on earth should we keep on believing that only women want to be homemakers?

And Knox? 6'2", muscled, motorcycle-riding, sex on a stick Knox? YES👏PLEASE👏. Just as all Ethan really wants is to tend house for his love, all Knox really wants is to provide for, love, and protect his man.

Once you strip all the OTT caveman stuff away, it's a love story, a romance. This one just happened to trigger those primal wants that I'm sure we all have (even if we sometimes refuse to admit it).

I usually love epilogues, but this one was way too jam-packed with kids and earnestness. I would have been happier with the book if I had just ignored the epilogue, to be honest.

This one didn't work.

There are two kinds of ridiculous that you might feel reading a story like this - the kind that makes you laugh or the kind that makes you roll your eye and debate throwing your tablet in the garbage. Sullied had the former effect on me, this had the latter. Nico owned the possessive claiming behavior that sets the tone for this whole series. Knox said it himself, that's not his style, so this just doesn't read the same as the first story. Nico had at least interacted with Ian before deciding he was his. Knox was basically just stalking Ian, saw Ethan and claimed him on sight alone. All the "beauty" and "my beauty" references annoyed me to no end. Partly because it's so superficial, but mostly because I associate the pet name Beauty as being a literal name for pets so I just do not like the excessive use of it in here. As for the character building and overall story here, I just didn't like it. The only pluses for this installment are that it was a quick read with no grammatical errors that I noticed. I'm still going to go on to read the next story, but I wish these weren't so entangled. I'm hoping Jude's story stands more on its own. This one has too much overlap with the first installment that it makes me question how much I enjoyed that one.

Hopefully His!

When Knox found the address for Ian to keep an eye on him for his friend, he wasn't expecting the young man who came out of the house. Ethan Lewis, Ian's roommate and the man of his dreams. He took one look and knew that man was meant to be his and after he finished watching Ian for his friend he could finally focus all his free time on Ethan. Ethan felt that because of his obsessions he would spend his life along, but boy was he wrong because the man that was following him and watching him had other plans. He hoped the man was there for him but he wasn't sure, because Ian had seen him too. But when his friend moved out and the man on the motorcycle first saved him then started to show up at his home saying that he was his and doing so many things to prove it he finally got the message and that was the beginning of their life and journey together. CUTE COUPLE!!😍

Gah!

I LOVED it. Were there some issues? Yes. Some jarring moments? Definitely. Plus a certain SOMETHING about the writing style (maybe?) That just makes you feel like the whole thing is unpolished and possibly juvenile. STILL I LOVED this. Hands down, no question enjoyed the crap out of this little gem of a novella.

Ethan and Knox. Oh man, they were so good together. Knox was the perfect, PERFECT blend of gentleman and caveman. He was firm in his attentions, but didn't rush Ethan too far too fast. I really enjoyed "sullied" but my god this blew it out of the water. Its short, but you don't feel cheated. It feels complete.

Recommend. A THOUSAND times recommend. Can't wait to see what else comes from this series!

Book 2 was sooo MUCH better than book 1. This book held my attention, bringing on the ride as Ethan and Knox traverse their budding relationship. It’s bumpy at times. Ethan just needed a little more help getting out of his own head, but Knox is a patient man.

Low-angst, insta-love, fun, quick read

That little morsel at the end for book 3 *chef kiss* I am definitely curious about this character and who his instalove will be.

4.5 stars. Aww, poor Ethan. I just wanna hug him and keep him safe from harm. He was so scared of falling for Knox because of his past but Knox is nothing if not persistent. I loved both characters and thought their romance was really sweet. Knox isn’t anywhere near as caveman and OTT alpha as Nico but that’s okay. Ethan didn’t need that. What they had worked for them and I really enjoyed it. He was still plenty possessive over Ethan just in his own way and I thought it was wonderful.

Well, this one was a heck of a lot sweeter than the first book, almost as if the authors got their hands slapped for all the things I loved about the previous book (no consent, etc)... so, eh. I mean, it was still fun! But I was legit hoping the whole series would break the current oh-so-correct M/M romance market vibe and just gimme all the cavemen. I'll go with a 3.5-star read for me.

Poor Ethan. I wanted to read his story after first meeting him in Sullied, there was something about him that just grabbed me. I couldn’t put my finger on it and when he told Knox the story of his past and growing up my heart hurt. These two may be complete opposites but they totally work and that ending was great. I’m looking forward to Jude and Matteo next. 🖤🔥🏍️🔥🖤

Ethan and Knox's story was a tale of "don't let your past, jack up your present or your future." Ethan had his hang-ups even though he knew what he wanted for his life. Knox was there to support him no matter what - literally and figuratively.

The epilogues to the stories in this series are the best.

Pretty good. Ian pissed me off in this when he left without warning Ethan. And then Ian only called Ethan when Nico told him to. Idk, that just felt like a shitty thing to do as a friend.

Good plot and development

I really enjoyed Ethan and Knox's story. There was a bit more development of the characters and it didn't feel so rushed.
