*** This story was previously released as 'Trixie & Drew' in "Another Try Books One and Two"***
Trixie Benning– the no-nonsense Accounting Manager working her way up the corporate ladder. She is highly intelligent, introverted, and for the most part, steadfast about keeping personal and work separated – except when it comes to him.
Drew Alexander- the President and CEO that seems to be her polar-opposite in personality. A confident extrovert with the type of ‘love- ‘em-and-leave- ‘em’ history that the tabloids salivate over. He’s used to getting what he wants – and he’s not happy with being told ‘no.’
When Trixie uncovers fraudulent activity at the company, she and Drew must work closely together to repair the damage. But the more time they spend together, the greater the emotional danger to them both.
They just might find the love of a lifetime – if they stop running from it long enough.
A bit about me - I began as a suspense/thriller writer (you can find me here on Goodreads under D.F. Hart, if you'd like to learn more about that body of work).
I wrote a supplemental character named Maddie in book Three of my suspense series, and I put her through quite a lot in that story. She resonated deeply with me, more than any other supplemental character I've written to date. And I felt she deserved a happy ending.
I have my MBA with Accounting concentration, and live in Texas with my fabulous husband and two fur-babies that aren't spoiled one single bit.
Wow.... Seriously this story is beyond my expectations, from start to end it was so beautifully written. Iam a huge fan of work place romance books and this is so damn good.
This story is all about Trixie who work for Drew as an Accountant Manager during this she found there is something fishy is happening in this company and decided to reveal it to the CEO who is non other than the man who she saw in the grocery store and both were in shock seeing each other.
They need to uncover the truth and work together, during this we get to read some of their past which is so heart renching which happened in each of their life and the story leads us through that. I don't want to spoil much even though I likes the second half of the story it's so good I loved it, the story plot is so amazing I didn't expected that. Try this book it's so good.
This is book one in The Another Try Series and it is Trixie and Drew's story. Trixie had been paid off from her past job and now she needs to find another one quick and then she gets the call that she has been waiting for and she now has a job at Alexander Ltd as an accountant. Drew owns Alexander Ltd and while he is out shopping he sees a beautiful woman and as they talk he is even more intrigued by her but she is in a relationship so he doesn't pursue her any more but he still hopes that he will see her again. Trixie is going through the accounts at work and she gets a shock when she realised that a lot of money had gone missing and after going through everything again to make sure she realised that she needs to take the evidence to Mr Alexander and show him who had taken the money but would be believe her but the biggest shock was that Mr Alexander was Drew who she had met before. Drew recognised Trixie straight away.and was shocked that she had been working for him and he didn't know and when she told him what she had found he realised that he needed to solve.this.problem quickly. Will they take a chance to spend time together which is what Drew wants or will Trixie say no as she feels that it is the right thing to do. Faith Hart is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will not be disappointed.

Third Time’s Charm …after two scumbags she finally finds her man
Yikes, things happen in threes, right? First her dad dies, her cheating boyfriend dumps her, and now her job is questionable. But wait. Surely you won’t fire the person who discovered a $5 1/2 million dollar fraudulent transaction. So maybe, just maybe that third thing won’t be bad at all …. maybe. Hmmmm….. how does this all work out? You’ll read all about it as you turn the pages of Drew and Trixie. And, you’ll get a good dose of romance too. Who doesn’t like a taste of forbidden romance?
🤔 MUSINGS and WISHES 🧐
... Don’t know who was worse, Grant or Trey. They both are scumbags and I always want to see scumbags get a comeuppance. Do they ever think about Trixie? Do they ever have remorse? We don’t know since it’s not mentioned here.
... Trixie had good reason to not trust. Her whole life was about loss. No wonder she built protective walls around her.
... I’m not a real believer of love at first sight. Four days just isn’t enough time to fall in love. That part of the story could use more development.

This was a cute instalove romance story. It was a short and quick read. It felt a little bit rushed at times but it didn’t take away from the enjoyment of the story. Trixie is an accountant manager for Alexander Limited and is struggling threw tough times. Drew is the president and CEO of the company that she works for. Meet for the first time in a store. Drew wants her but Trixie has trust issues. Drew can’t forget about her. The next time they meet is when she brings a $5 million dollar accounting problem to the CEOof the company she works for. Trixie wasn’t expecting to see Drew again. As they work close together to fix the problem will Trixie be able to open her heart to love? Will Drew be able to show Trixie that he is worth the risk? Their connection is instant and hot like fate is pulling them together. I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving an arc copy for an honest review.
A down hill slope once Alexander and Benning met at work. Most men NEVER get in touch with their emotions. It's not manly to cry and all that rot. So it's actually cool when a man does. But......Ms. Hart made Drew out to be a crybaby. The last 1/4 of the story was like a race to the end with cliff notes going over the highlights, and oh yeah here's your happy ever after. I REALLY dislike giving bad reviews! If Ms. Hart would rebrand this story, change Drew's character and clean up the last quarter of the story, she'd have something. No cheating or cliffhanger. 🧐
It's well written and a good story line about friendship, trust, love, and respect. The love Drew has for Trixie and the respect he had for her to wait for her to come to him show that he loved her enough to respect boundaries and let her make the first move. They both learned how hearing something and taking it out content can cause problems when you don't know the story.
The first book in the Another Try series a well written story that held my interest until the end. I enjoyed reading Trixie Benning and Drew Alexander's story, there is a misunderstanding on Trixie's part that has her running away. I want to read more in this series. A great to start to a new series. Trixie and Drew are amazing characters you'll love getting to know as you read their story. It's well written and pulls you in keeping you turning the pages. My warning is that you may find it hard to put the book down once you start reading.

This is a story that I enjoyed so much, that I wanted it to go on for another 20 years of their lives - at least!! From the meet-cute in the produce section of a grocery store to the HEA, this tale was a page turner. This is my first time reading this author & I’m looking forward to reading more!
I really enjoyed this new version of this book a lot. The new cover is perfect and she made the story so much better which is saying a lot because the first version was really good. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Drew and Trixie meet again after having met one night at a store. Only this time Trixie has some bad news. Can they sort everything out for love? This is a quick paced story about love and taking a chance.

A short great quick paced story about taking a chance and love. This engaging storyline kept me entertained page after page with well developed interesting characters that have amazing chemistry. I voluntarily read and reviewed this incredible ARC.
It started off great, the middle was exciting but the other third was a bit disappointing. I could guess what was coming next. But it was an ok read. I like to be surprised but wasn't.
