I adored this book. The beauty displayed on the pages of this text, in the form of poems, memories, and short stories are breathtaking. A truely inspiring book to read for any woman. The beauty and grace of friendship is captured perfectly through these two womens journey together. The idea of friendship as sacrament is exciting, and the concept of friendship as community inspiring. Perhaps not for somebody who is expecting a typical linear narrative, this text jumps from memories to poems effortlessly. The creativity of the narrative just displays the freedom and creativity of the two friends writing it. Love love love!

I found this book easy to relate to and inspirational. Sally and Cheri have a wonderful, earthy clarity to their writing. Their close bond and deep knowledge of one another shines through their writing. I love how they offer snippets of poetry, quotations, recipes and journal entries interspersed between more essay-type pieces.
