This novella could have easily been a full length novel! It’s chock full of romance and the suspense plotline was quite thrilling. I’d accidentally started reading one of the later books in the series before reading this one, so I knew the twist, but I think that it would have been surprising if it hadn’t been spoiled for me. I loved the way that the Groundskeeper toyed with Reaper, and I’m hoping we get similar storylines in the future!
In this novella, we get to revisit both Reaper and Sarah’s points of view, BUT we also get a treat with points of view from Slingshot, Knives, and Tongue, three characters who haven’t had books yet. Their POVs got me excited for their books! I never particularly cared for Slingshot, though I’ve noticed that he’s featured more and more in the books, and I’m curious to find out what his story is.

A quick little Halloween book for the Ruthless. The club is doing a huge party for the community to make money for charity but they soon learn it's not just fun and games happening at the clubhouse.
The Gatekeeper as he is known hits a MC every year in Halloween and the chosen one is never found in time. He leaves clues that are in the forms of rhymes.
Only thing different this year is since everyone is in pairs he takes two club members. Since most everyone is dressed the same can they figure out who is missing and save them?

I really don’t how K L Savage does it but ‘A Ruthless Halloween’ is akin to a prequel setting us up for the start of the next set of brothers and if I had to put money on it the next stories are going to be even darker then Pirates story!
I am just blown away each and every time by the writing skills of Ms Savage it is truly amazing. How she manages to come up with these dark but beautiful romances is setting her up as one of the TOP MC writers of 2020!
Reaper doesn’t want to hold a Halloween party at the compound he is worried that Sarah his Ole Lady will be even sadder watching the kids playing trick and treat when they are still struggling to have another baby after loosing their first one! (Please Please KL Savage give Sarah her wish soon please – maybe in a Christmas special).
Here we are it's the 31st of October and everyone is now dressed up - the compound is decked out in darkness, ghouls and ghost are everywhere only trouble is so is one other ‘The Groundsman’’ he comes out once and year and he is death and he has picked his victim and lucky for him he gets two for the prize of one!

This was a great story! I really loved all the little details that went into each character, there was also some serious character depth which in a story this short was a nice surprise to see! I found one plot hole and unfortunately it was keeping me from giving this story 5 stars, but it was still a great read!

RUTHLESSLY ADDICTED
The Ruthless Kings series is the best MC evah! The action, sex, humor, the men, the women..are freakin fantastic. I'm so mad I have to wait on the next books. I'm ready right now ! K.L. you are definitely one of my absolute favorite authors and believe me that's a rare clique indeed.

This is up there with one of the best books I've ever read. Given the shorter length, readers might be tempted to think this novella might not deliver on all the scary, unpredictable, action-filled, and tense moments needed to make this a 5-star read but A Ruthless Halloween delivers on all of that and more. I'm sad to say I've yet to read the Ruthless Kings series but I've bought a few and I'm getting started. The level of commitment, love, sacrifice, and bravery these men carry for one another and their club is irresistible. I need more!

K.L. Savage never fails to shock the hell out of me, but she's leveled up with A Ruthless Halloween because this novella actually scared me. Reaper was very reluctant to have a Halloween Bash on the compound but he still does it. All the costumes running around hides "the groundskeeper" who came out to mess with the Ruthless Kings MC in a lethal way. He leaves clues everywhere for the boys to follow, and they race against the clock since that evil has 2 for the price of one. I would actually say more but I don't want to because the shock value is so much scarier when you just go in blind. So hit those one click buttons since October is the month for scary! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Holy Moly what a spectacular read. This short Halloween novella was intense, suspenseful, down right scary and had me on the edge of my seat as I read through the pages. Kudos KL Savage for one hellacious ride.
Someone is messing with the Ruthless MC and is determined to kill at least one of their own on Halloween night. The brothers set out to follow “the groundskeepers” very encrypted clues. Do they make it in time to save one or all those that have gone missing from the Halloween Bash? Are more lost along the way?

This novella was simply amazing! K.L. Savage, Halloween theme, and Joe Arden narrating... yes please! I enjoyed the story of the Ruthless Kings MC hosting and creating a Halloween party for charity at their compound. (I always love these big Alpha A**holes that are kittens in their hearts, and their level of commitment ,unwavering loyalty to eachother is endearing). But, someone else outside the club has other plans for the Ruthless Kings. He’s “The Groundskeeper “. He has a vendetta against the MC’s, and has plans of murder to at least one club member at this party. There are so many twists and turns in this one. It keeps you on your toes! In true K.L. Savage fashion it is so descriptive you feel totally immersed into their world. You feel like your right there. Ok.... let’s talk about Joe Arden’s narration. He does over 10 different characters, each has their own unique voice and speaking style. Joe at one point flows so flawlessly and believable between so many characters during a meeting in the book. I am so impressed by that.(That’s a hard thing to impress me that much). *Joe’s voice as The Groundskeeper....holy moly, it was deliciously creepy. The last line of this book which is a rhyme , is hilarious! Can’t wait to read and 🎧 to Tongue’s story, he’s one of my favorite characters in this series.

I don’t know how this author did it but she packed so much suspense, drama and action into a short story. I love this Halloween story because we get to see all of the familiar faces that we’ve grown to love. Big alpha, bada$$ bikers dressed up for Halloween, who would have thought. Against his better judgment Reaper allows the Ruthless Kings to throw a Halloween party for charity and that is when it all goes downhill. Two of my favorites get kidnapped and the rest of the MC and other chapters have to solve a riddles to get them back. Will they be in time to prevent anyone’s death?

Perfect read for Halloween! It's scary and funny and full of action and all the characters we love! This was fun to read. I don't want to give a lot of details and spoil anything, but if you read the Ruthless Kings books, you will love this. And the Groundskeeper with his poems and riddles is creeeepy.

Who knew so much could be packed into a short story?!? Against his better judgment Reaper allows a Halloween party and of course chaos ensues. An unknown assailant has eyes in the Kings. When 2 of their own go missing they have to unravel the clues to find them before it’s to late. Another fantastic read in the Ruthless Kings series.

OMG…loved A Ruthless Halloween 👻🦹🏽🧙🏼♀🧟♀🧙🏼! It was and epic short MC story. Can’t say romance as it just touched on the couple a little bit and check in with other club members and their allies. The only thing that I was disappointed on was Sarah still has not been able to have a child or get pregnant. My fingers are 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 that we will see it happen in one of the future books. This book was a part of the Ruthless Kings MC series. It was a glimpse into their lives and how they are doing and how they choose to celebrate Halloween. As always, K.L. Savage, author, did a wonderful job with how she can bring life to the Ruthless Kings MC members and their old ladies. They have uniques personalities and they all blend in as a family. A little dysfunctional and a little dark, maybe, but it works for them (and for us readers who love hearing about and from them from time to time).don’t want to give anything away but I loved this Halloween story and I think readers will agree. Lots of laughter and love in this Halloween tale. Next up I believe is Doc. Can’t wait to see what happens. Enjoy the ride!!

I just finished Halloween. I received an ARC of this book. I purchased it also because this series is my obsession. Halloween had my heart pounding. I flew through the pages to find out how this would play out. Suspenseful and mysterious. I love the family that are the Ruthless Kings. They are loyal, loving and humorous at times at the antics they pull. They are strong protectors and will stop at nothing to defend those they love along with each other. I was holding my breath at times praying all will be okay. Other times I laughed out loud. K L Savage writes books that grab you and keep the pages flying. What I love most is these aren’t your normal MC books. THEY ARE BETTER! The best I’ve read. The men are strong, loyal, loving and stand for what they believe in. They treat their women with love, respect, and loyalty. They defend their women and children at all cost. The Ruthless Kings will stop at nothing to keep their MC safe. There is humor, which I love, sexy hot times and strength to destroy all that do harm or go against their beliefs. K L Savage is a 1 click author for me. Don’t debate buying this book. You will be hooked.

I really loved this quick novella and it does not need to be Halloween to enjoy this book. There are some really fun parts and of course, there is some heat. I especially loved the scenes with Reaper´s costume! There is action, suspense, the usual KL Savage darkness and it also was a deliciously creepy treat.
The Ruthless King´s are planning their usual Halloween party but they are getting more HELLoween than they bargained for. Soon they find themselves running against time to save some of their brothers because of a twisted game “The Groundskeeper” likes to play each Halloween.
This novella is giving us a hint of what to expect for the next Ruthless King stories.
Loved Sierra Kline´s narration too, having listened to her in different other Ruthless books I feel her emotions more and more. She also delivers a great performance for each character.

WHAT THE HECK. How is this story only a novella. I Need More.

This novella has multiple POVs from different members which I absolutely loved. It was nice getting to see what was going on in other members' minds that we haven’t gotten a story for yet. Honestly, these multiple POVs made me 10 times more excited for their stories.

This novella was intense and full of suspense and mystery. Honestly, this did not feel like a novella as the story is full of life and depth. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and I mean the whole time. After finishing the story I understood why it was a novella and I really hope by next Halloween we get a part 2 because man that cliffhanger.

I honestly cannot get over how good this novella was. It is something I think I will always remember. If you watched the TV show Bones and loved the gravedigger episodes you will love this novella because there is also a gravedigger in this book.

Okay so I made the mistake of reading book 7 without reading this one first so I was a bit confused. So we have the Ruthless Halloween and this is told from many of the characters POV. So everyone decides that they need a release and throwing a party seems like a good idea but Reaper feels like something bad is going to happen. The Atlantic chapter and NOLA chapters show up. We also meet another player in this book. This person has an issue against mc's but why? THIS GUY IS TOTALLY INSANE!! The Groundskeeper has plans and they are not good. Lives will be on the line but whose. It is very intense and emotional. I mean I am literally emotionally invested with these guys and so much happens I am scared to get to the end of this book. But we also see how well the club/s work together to save their friends. You will definitely need to read this before you move on to book 7 otherwise you will want to know what happened.

Wow are you guys in for a treat... Got to give it to K. L Savage she slayed this one... This book is power packed with lots and lots of twisted and turns, you won't want to put it down once you start reading it because you are excited to see just what happens next. The Groundskeeper will keep you on the edge waiting to see what he is going to do next. I really love the MC comes together as a family to make sure they save there own. Really love this book shows another side to the rough guys characters with them having this Halloween party they are doing for the charity and the kids, this just shows another side of the MC all together. Can't wait to see what happens next with the other characters of this Ruthless Kings Family.. I voluntarily received an ARC of the book from the author and this is my honest review.

Wow! This is such a fantastic Halloween read. The Ruthless Kings want to hold a charity Halloween monster mash. Reaper’s against it as he’s concerned about the MC’s safety, but gets talked into...Sarah can be very persuasive;-) Unbeknown to them, The Groundskeeper, a serial killer who murders a different MC member every year has his eyes set on the Kings this year.
The book is told through a different character each chapter, who will be in his crosshairs and will they solve the clues to save them in time...
It was so good to spend time with different characters that we haven’t heard from in a while. The story is well written and entertaining throughout but riveting as well. Superb!

The Ruthless Kings are celebrating another holiday but this one is supposed to be scary, but in a fun way for the club, town and the kids that under the Ruthless Kings’ protection.
The club has no idea that danger is close and lurking within their gates and if they don’t act in time, they could lose more than one of theirs. If you’ve read any of the Ruthless Kings MC stories, you will love this one just as much as the rest of the stories. The suspense, danger, action, and crazy shenanigans that the MC brothers get into is evident in this story and keeps the pages turning. The danger, action, and suspense continue throughout the book and will keep you on the edge of your seat. I loved it and give it a 5-star review.
The club has no idea that danger is close and lurking within their gates and if they don’t act in time, they could lose more than one of theirs. If you’ve read any of the Ruthless Kings MC stories, you will love this one just as much as the rest of the stories. The suspense, danger, action, and crazy shenanigans that the MC brothers get into is evident in this story and keeps the pages turning. The danger, action, and suspense continue throughout the book and will keep you on the edge of your seat. I loved it and give it a 5-star review.

I think I would have liked this better if it had been entirely like the 2nd half. I understand that the author wanted to give little bits of the romance parts, as this is part of an entire dark romance series, but I haven't read the series, and don't care to at this time. So I just wanted the serial killer storyline. I enjoyed the scavenger hunt to save lives. I also would be interested in learning more about this Tongue character.
I guess the biggest issue for me was that it was a mix of cutsie and horror thriller. I could have done without the cutsie bits. All horror thriller all the time please.
All that to say, the parts I liked, I very much liked - the rest was meh (to me).

OK (Repeat After Me)... Breathe In, Breathe Out, Breathe In, Breathe Out...
Seriously though somebody hold my drink, get me a strong drink or call me a doctor because this Novella did all sorts of crazy things to my heart and emotions.
It's Halloween and The Groundskeeper has come out to play with and target some of my beloved Ruthless Kings.
This fast, action-packed, violent, suspenseful emotional, and occasionally humorous story had me on the edge of my seat, my heart in my throat, and my emotions all over the place.
While the ending left me happily relieved it also left me wondering what the future holds for my Ruthless Kings and just how sweet the Revenge will taste.

OH my, I loved A Ruthless Halloween, full of dark corners, twists, and most of all a fight for survival. What is meant to be a fun time soon turns a little dark and twisted, can the Brothers of Ruthless Kings MC find the culprit that is coming at them from different sides, or will they lose those they hold dear? Each Member must truly fight for one another in this Fast-paced spellbinding book.
K.L. Savage has done it again with this quick little novella addition to the Ruthless Kings Mc, I couldn't put it down I needed to know how each member was fairing with this Halloween that was full of Ruthlessness. I can't wait to read more and hope that there will be a sequel to this novella.

This is a great little Halloween novella. You should read it after you read Pirate though. The club decides to do a huge Halloween thing. There are tons of people at the club. Then they get a note and realize some of the guys are missing. Someone has plans for the members of their club and they aren’t good. This guy has been killing for a while always on Halloween. Now the Ruthless Kings MC are in his sights. Will he kill again this Halloween or will the boys stop him and come out on top. This was a great quick read. I loved the it was a mystery/thriller. I highly recommend reading this book. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Really good short story!! I had fun reading it, and for ONCE the four horsemen were accurately labeled/referenced!!! That is a huge pet peeve of mine! Yes, I have issues, I know lol. Conquest (white horse), War (red horse), Famine (black horse) and Death (grey/pale horse)... Conquest is almost ALWAYS left out in movies/books/TV etc, and they make both a Famine and a Plague when the two concepts are meant to be combined into one horseman..... It was really refreshing to see something that depicted them accurately by Tongue when he was in his thoughts at the end of Chapter 13..... Anyways, lol..... I really liked this one overall.
