A quick novella for lunch time.
Adria has been crushing on Xander for awhile and now she gets to be around him since he needs a tutor, everyone knows her as being a shy prudish person who blushes alot. As for Xander well he has always pinned after Adria and he kinda was failing on purpose to ger closer to his girl and things go from 0 to 100 quick. No real drama or problems mostly just a steam novella.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, Sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

2.5, I’m feeling generous.
Short, maybe too short to be enjoyable. Total of four scenes.
I definitely liked that his eyes tracked her everywhere and she sensed that. That’s a bonus in my book.
She’s a virgin, big ooff. Especially because he’s not. He’s the star on campus. No information on whether he’s a manwhore/if he’s done it since meeting her; I’m going to be optimistic and say no.
Scene two - she’s meant to tutor him in his “bedroom”. They have sex, and he says he wants her forever even though he never made a move this whole time.
She doesn’t have a personality. So it was bland. No salt, no sugar, no spice.

Loved it. Short and safe with plenty of steam! No unnecessary drama to mess it up. Just two people finally going after what they both wanted

Xander is not what I expected. He's doing bad in school and needs a tutor, luckily his parents picked the right woman.
Quick read that moves fast. This one is in depth on the steam with not too much of a story but sometimes you just need a bite of the juicy apple, not the whole thing.
Love how it ended though. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

Pure was a great story. Lena Lucas did a good job on the story, the plot was strong, it was written well. Adira and Xander were strong characters. I enjoyed their journey. They may have been complete opposites but they were made for one another. The attraction between them was strong, so wasn't their connection, they were drawn to each other. The chemistry between them was sexy, they were good together.

I really liked this short story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with some steaminess thrown in. The characters were interesting and likable. I loved how protective Xander was of Adria. Their mutual attraction that neither seemed to realize was reciprocated was sweet but also kind of funny. Xander's confession to Adria about his "tutoring needs" had me smiling over how he had decided to get her attention. Xander was brave to take a risk like that for a chance to be with Adria. I loved their happy ever after and I recommend reading this book.

OVERALL THOUGHTS - Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy this one very much. It’s very vague on details, there’s no character development, very little dialogue, and a lackluster HFN (happy for now) ending. Because I couldn't connect to either character, I didn't believe their love story either. Also, the author weirdly forgot to physically describe the heroine, unless I missed it. I found myself bored while reading and struggled to finish it.

This was my first read from this author. I loved the first person point of view of storytelling, which is always a deal breaker for me. What do you do, when you are a nobody on school hallways and are "forced" to tutor the popular bad boy who just happens to also be the guy you have a crush on. Amazing read.

Oh boy this story was smoking hot and will definitely leave you craving more. Xander and Adria were smoking hot together. Xander is the football player bad boy who was obsessed with the good girl. He has wanted her for a long time and he is done waiting. Adria will be his and only his. If you enjoy quick and steamy romance, this is for you! Cannot wait for Filled!

Pure: A Possessive Alpha Romance, written by Lena Lucas, is a very sexy, novella-in-length story centred around Xander, an alpha male who has been secretly obsessing over Adria, a shy, family friend, who has also been secretly pining over Xander (final years of university) Aria, known for her tutoring, is volunteered by her parents, to tutor Xander who must maintain a certain average to remain on their school’s football team. What neither Aria nor both sets of parents know is that Xander purposely did poorly on a couple of tests, knowing full well his parents would seek out Aria.
What I really appreciate, especially with it being a shorter book, is that it isn’t congested with frivolous, main character backgrounds or drawn-out, set-the-scene information that ends up eating a good portion of the story and leaving the main event rushed. Their emotional responses and the inferno caused by their sexual intensity is written so well; it is almost palpable to the reader. Although this was my first book written by Ms. Lucas that I was able to read through Booksprout, it is by no means my last

Pure is just everything you want and need in a fantastic book. Once this story begins to unfold, it's fast and keeps your wanting to know more. This one is a real nail biter of a read...full of action, adventure, intrigue and secrets. The characters are just both amazing. They are written and developed beautifully throught the book.

This is the story of Xander and Adria. They knew each other for a long time. They each had a crush on other one. This is their story of getting together and how that went. There was some pretense of tutors and studying. This was the story of their relationship. I liked both characters and I liked their story. This is a quick read. I liked it.

This was a sweet and steamy romance! Xander and Adria are so adorable together and their chemistry is off the charts hot and sexy! This short story was plenty steamy but had a bit of sweetness because of how they got together. This was a very entertaining and welcome addition to my library!

This book is a short love story with some steam to it. Although there’s not a lot of plot going on it’s a short story of love and emotion. The author did a good job in the writing. The story is about Aria and Xander. Aria is set to tutor Xander and the pair discover lust and love emerge. Fun little read wish there was more going on though. No other characters really, no twists or conflict.

I have to say that this is a good short clean story. Most short stories I feel like they loose so much information to keep you in to them and they feel like they were rushed to write but this is not one of them it is really good and I went back and reread it.

A short and very steamy read. They say opposites attract and thats true in this book. When quiet, good girl Adria (FMC) catches the eye of cocky & confident Xander the results are explosive. Not a bad read if a little short. Personally i would happily have read more about both of these characters

Claiming story between college friends. The story was steamy hot and fast. Not much of a story, just one claiming event. Both Mcs had been crushing each other for some time, and there came one chance to made their crush came true. Both on legal age and young love too.
