The Weeping Chains was a quick, engaging read about a woman who is given a mysterious book and gets sucked in to an intense situation involving a cult, creepy green goo, and a weird stranger.

The writing was really great and the plot was super unique. Sort of reminded me of a creepier version of Jumanji. I also enjoyed the characters, especially Dustin.

The ending left it open for a second book and I hope to read it soon!
