Griffin McTarn is a selfish alpha. His own needs are all that matter to him, and he’d be the first person to tell you that. When his real estate company is caught up in a scandal, he hides out in Red Sky, Texas with his mom. He’s bored to tears in the little town, until he runs into sexy omega Jace Conner.

Jace is the opposite of Griffin. He’s warm and caring, and he puts others first. While Jace doesn’t usually let alphas pick him up at work, there’s something about Griffin that makes him hard to ignore. Jace agrees to a little fun on his lunch hour, and just as everything begins to heat up, disaster strikes.

The two men tumble into an unlikely relationship, as Griffin tries to help Jace land on his feet. Of course, Griffin being the selfish alpha he is, his motivation isn’t kindness. He simply wants to close the deal with Jace.

Jace knows the score, and isn’t foolish enough to think he actually matters to Griffin, but when fate turns the table on them, both men have to decide what it is they really want out of life.

Even if it means saying goodbye.

This 113,000 word story is book six in Beau's Red Sky, Texas Mpreg Series. It's filled with angst, male pregnancy, smexy times and all of the warm fuzzy feelings you expect from an Mpreg romance by Beau Brown.

Jeez...Griffin!

Griffin was a grade A jerk to everyone. No one person was spared his so called up front, brutal honesty. For a man who was deeply hurt in the past, he lea rend nothing from his past. Instead, it is destroy or be destroyed. Whether it was his mother, his brother Cory (from book 5), business deals, or one night stands. Just a means to an end for him.
You can't fight the inevitable...

Jace is a kind hearted omega. Not one to be selfish, he puts others first. Losing both of his parents and being an only child, he does long to have a family but not ready to be tied down just yet. He meets a selfish alpha while working. What was supposed to be a lunch hour fling, morphed into so much more.

While Jace and Griffin were in really heated moment, a fire breaks out in Jace's house. Griffin is not not one to be all that helpful, but saw his desired interest in Jace as a physical investment and nothing more. If this is true, why could he not just walk away from this particular omega? Truthfully, both were in denial about their feelings towards one another. Griffin was very territorial over Jace, despite saying he wanted nothing more than a fling.

For the sake of their growing family, can these two come to terms with their current feelings and past insecurities?

Was such an experience to watch Griffin turn into a puddle of goo over Jace.

Ready for Sharky's book.

Oh boy...Griffin. What to say about an emotionally stunted, self-centered, man child? I kept thinking 'How in the world is Beau going to redeem this guy?'. Some of the things that came out of his mouth left me stunned. Jace seems just a shallow at the beginning of the story but he's at least thoughtful of others. No matter how crass and unfeeling Griff acts, Jace just keeps letting him back in. It took a good long while for Griff to make changes and it wasn't instantaneous. He still struggled with selfish tendencies. Jace doesn't just idly stand by and accept his behavior, he calls him on it and demands to be treated as an equal. The changes, when they do come to Griff, are lovely. He becomes the man he should be.

This was book 6 in the "Red Sky, Texas" series. We met both of these characters briefly in book 5. Griffin McTarn is a selfish alpha who is Cory's older brother. He comes to Red Sky to hideout his bosses in Dallas got into some trouble and I instead facing it he runs. While out getting coffee he meets Jace an omega that we met in the last book. Jace doesn't usually pick guys at work but he likes what he sees these two decide to hook up on his lunch break but it doesn't go well. Jace's dog didn't like Griffin I thought that was telling a fire in his kitchen stops them from hooking up and although Griffin helps him he was doing because he had a motive and he really didn't like the fact a firemen Sharky was friendly with Jace. I didn't like Griffin he was selfish and self centered and I was glad that his mother began calling him out. Jace knows that Griffin is not staying but he can't wanting to be with him. Neither of wanted to admit that they had feelings for one another and when Jace finds out that Griffin is leaving sooner than planned he is hurt he also gets some very unexpected news. I really liked Jace but not Griffin he thought he was better than his family and the people in Red Sky but I am glad that this book had a happy ending. This book did have a few errors but nothing I couldn't overlook. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Actions speak louder than words. I wouldn't call Griff, selfish. His words depict a selfish person, but his actions tell a different story. He carries a lot of luggage from his family, his job and his self esteem. Jace accepts a lunchtime assignation with Griffin that ends up not happening. But, Jace must see something, because he keeps going back. They each put their expectations on the table. They move them around and they push them back and forth. But, those expectations are not the driving force behind their meetings. Do they realize they fell into a relationship? It is hard to reconcile the Jace from this story with the Jace who was into Cory, Griffin's younger brother. How does Kyle take meeting Jace? This is a nice story of growing up, healing and embracing adulting. The dialog is snappy and everyone runs a little deep. Nice story. Not a fluff piece. Well done. Griffin goes for a coffee and sees sexy Jace behind the counter.
After the company he works for is caught in a scam deal Griffin hide out at his mother's in the small town where she lives to wait for the scandal to die down. Three weeks into his stay he gets up and goes out for a coffee and instead of the older man that usually serves him there is a young sexy ginger haired Jace. Griffin thinks he could be just the distraction he needs and asks him out. What is agreed is that he will meets Jace at his house in his lunch break. The two meet and are getting close in bed when Jace's dog starts barking and when he opens the door the smell of smoke comes in as the kitchen is on fire.

Very enjoyable

Thoroughly enjoyed this. I didn't think much of Griffin in the last book and his personality was even worse in this and there was no doubt that he was irredeemable for much of the book.

Jace is a lovely omega who isn't looking for more than a lunchtime hookup with the attractive Griffin but fate steps in. Griffin's personal thoughts are highly depressing when he views Jace as just a piece of meat amongstother things. I really could have put him in front of a firing squad!

It was good to see his transformation from completely self absorbed ar$ehole to an alpha worthy of the independent and strong Jace.

I'm definitely looking forward to book 7.

Selfish-Boy is book 6 in the Red Sky, Texas series. This book is about Jace and Griffin, an opposites attract love story. As selfish as Griffin was in the beginning I do think he really cared for Jace and wanted to help him. I enjoyed seeing Griffin change his selfish ways and be the alpha Jace needed and wanted, they really are good for each other. I really enjoy this series and this book was a nice addition. Definitely recommend and I look forward to more.

Griffin and Jace , opposites in every way ,have an instant attraction and lust at first meet. The author once again brings strong characters with vividly painted scenes ,adds in a supporting cast to help bring the story around as he weaves another entertaining story. I loved watching them come together and form a strong relationship and would highly recommend this book.

Griffin is a selfish alpha that thinks only of himself. Jace is a sweetheart omega that thinks of others before himself. Griffin wants Jace. Jace and Griffin has a lunch hour fling. Griffinn is visiting his mother to get away from Dallas and the mess his bosses made of their company. When Griffin sees Jace working behind the counter in the grocery store, he knows he has to have him. Neither wants a relationship but things don't always go the way you want. I really enjoyed this book.

I had doubts that Griffin would change much from the last book in this series. Couldn't see it at all. Love can change people. This was good. I'm really enjoying this series and the guys who are finding their HEA.
