About the author

Ameeta Davis lives in the Chiltern Hills in England with her husband, mother and two adult children when they aren’t at university. Her love of mythology began with her split upbringing between her parents’ Indian household of Gods, goddesses, demigods and demons and Aunty Anne’s Polish and Welsh of Grimm’s tales and Celtic stories before she was seven and lived in Manchester. Her love of mythological stories grew when at seven she was sent to a boarding school in the Indian Himalayan foothills. During the holidays she lived with her local guardians -her grandparents who lived on the edge of a jungle beyond the main town. Whist at school she began to write her own stories – stories peppered with the mythological tales told by her school ayahs. The ayahs were from the same tribe that happily sold their jungle land to her grandfather and his property development partner. With just a wall between her family and the jungle in the evenings there was much for the imagination to store and recreate years later in the River Rule Series.

The saga of Avi and Una just keeps giving! It’s never ending, action packed, edge of the seat...unputdownable! If that's even a word!! The live wire tension resonates throughout keeping one tethered to it. It’s the most exotic tale I've ever read. Like a dream all of it plays out as if on screen. Loved it. Ameeta Davis is a magical storyteller recounting indigenous tales of repulsion and attraction that is so adrenaline charged that it would affect the most jaded of hearts ... Avi and Una imprinted on the mind for eternity!
