What if you met the right woman at the wrong time? Carlin Drakos never expected to meet the woman of his dreams on the arm of his brother. Iva Baptiste was not his to claim, but he wanted her. Iva would do anything for her best friend, and she never planned to derail her engagement party. However, she was no man’s fool. Alexander was determined not to allow his older brother to ruin another relationship, but his lapse in judgment may have been his own undoing. Join in the Drakos family celebration as family secrets are unraveled, true feelings are revealed and tempers reach a boiling point. With this recipe for disaster, can love prevail? Find out in “I Want You to Want Me.” ***** Carlin poured a cup of coffee and looked over the patio when the beautiful sight of Iva caught his eye. A slight warm breeze filled the air and Iva’s dress moved with the wind as she glanced over at him with a polite smile. He nodded, envious of the wind that ran gently through her hair. Carlin cleared his throat as he redirected his attention to Alexander. “So, what’s going on with you and Iva?” Carlin asked while glancing back in Iva’s direction and watched as she interacted with the other bridesmaids. She tilted her head to the side as she laughed, causing her curls to bounce around her bare shoulders. The strapless orange colored sundress she wore glistened against her brown skin. Carlin inhaled sharply as he looked back at Alex. Alexander looked over at Iva, then back at Carlin. “I don’t know, we are still trying to figure it out.” Carlin felt Alexander’s hand on his shoulder. “So, hands off,” Alexander said as his grip tightened on Carlin’s shoulder. “I mean it Carlin, stay away from Iva.” Carlin put his hand up in submission. “If you’re telling me, that’s your lady, then hands off,” he paused. “She is a beautiful woman, congrats little brother, you did good,” He said as he sipped his coffee. Carlin watched as Alexander walked over to Iva, put his arm around her waist, and kiss her on the cheek as he pulled her into him while looking back at Carlin, like he was marking his territory. Carlin nodded as he drained his coffee cup and decided against breakfast as he walked back into the Inn. “This is going to be a long weekend,” he thought.

The missing letters or the wrong words used really took away from this book. A lot of this could have been avoided with just proofreading your own work. It's sad that I would never pay for any of her works for this very reason. No matter how good the story could be
This was a well written story. Carlin and Iva wasn't my ideal couple in the beginning but I put my feelings aside and continued reading. And I wasn't disappointed. Fell in love with their journey to happiness.
This was my first time reading a book by this author. I Alexander was a cry baby and Iva blame Carlin for all her last boyfriends mistakes. I am glad every thing worked out in the end
Why would you submit a book with so many misspellings. I am amazed that this book would pass a spell check app., one was even used. (I am sure one wasn't in this case). What happened to the adage of being proud of the work you submit. It would have been worth it if only you had a competant editor or you to proofread your work before submitting said work. What a waste of my money and time. The sad part is that this is not your first book. D.Ellis
This is an awesome read. Carlin and Iva have an attraction from their initial meeting, but she is dating his brother. Several misunderstandings and eventual forgiveness leads to a HEA. I highly recommend you adding this one to your TBR list.
Meeting the man of your dreams is not easy, but it's much harder if he's related to your date. Iva, while dating the brother of her best friend Quinn's fiance Tobias, meets the other brother who is immediately enamored with her. A series of unfortunate events ensues which breaks up the couple who were taking things slowly. Carlin, the older brother of Tobias and Alexander, moves right in after making sure Iva had no feelings for his brother. A misunderstanding happens which throws things into a spiraling tailspin. In the end, things work out though.
The story line was good but the Iva really annoyed me. I felt like she got mad at Carlin for no reason at all. Then she dragged out her anger. Carlin apologize to her but she never apologized to him. Her explanation was ridiculous to me. I felt like she was pushing him away and holding on to anger after she already assured him that she didn't have feeling for Alex like that so to act like he was wrong for not informing her that Alex wanted to get back together was ridiculous. Plus she said she didn't know Alex wanted her which was a lie because Quinn had told her already. I just felt like Iva got so much sympathy and understanding when Carlin got none at all and was made to look like the bad guy.
Carlin and Iva net under some circumstances that got all out if hand because of of people's attitudes and not clearing the air when given the chance. She had a pre relationship with Alex who had a situation with an ex and that needed to be cleared, but he also needed to be truthful to Iva. Jealousy reared it's head in Alex against his brother Carlin, for being into Iva. They all needed to talk and stop side stepping their issues. Finally clarity came for Alex and Iva and it hit Iva hard for her to admit her feelings for Carlin. I enjoyed the story and glad for HEA. Worth reading🔥💜🍷
Their attraction was instant, but there was one problem, she has been going out with his younger brother. Now, things aren’t always what they look like... will Carlin be able to extinguish his attraction to Iva, or will they cross the “line”? Just remember the heart wants what the heart wants and things are not always black and white.
Carlin and Iva weren't what I expected. I expected the drama of a woman having to choose between two brothers that fought for her attention. It turns out Carlin entered the picture as Iva and his brother realized that they were not a good match for each other. They were 'placeholders' as Iva described it. Then Carlin had to fix all the problems that men before him caused for Iva. He had to deal with her baggage. He dealt with slowly and attentively. I thought Iva allowed her past to affect her present and future too much. In the end, they achieved the HEA. It was an easy read.
"I Want You To Want Me" was such a great story! It was instant attraction when Carlin Drakos and Iva Baptiste first laid eyes on each other. Problem was, Iva was dating Carlin's baby brother Alex!
Just different characters. Alex was wrong for getting jealous even though he was the one to break it off. Carlin was so arrogant going after a woman that he KNEW was with his brother. Iva got confused behind Alex and then mad behind Carlin. All worked out though.
This was a good read. I am glad the two brothers made up. But ever happened to mother nor liking Vee? It seems like Tobias was the peace keeper. What about the twins in xdidn't read nothing other than they were at Tobias wedding.
Oh yeah just gets better and better. I love this author's work and this book did not disappoint. Excellent storytelling with full characters. Oh yeah I recommend you will not be disappointed.
This was a very good book with a very believable love story. HOWEVER, I a got on my last nerve.. It felt like she was flipping back and forth with every single page. But, it worked out in the end with a HEA. ☺️
I enjoyed the story, even though the deception part i easily guess what happened betrothed brothers. But I enjoyed all the characters and C and I love.
I’ve read other book by this author and really enjoyed them. I found this one to be just ok
I’m annoyed with Alex. Instead of having Iva come to the family meeting and pulling r aside ahead of time, he should’ve went to her and broke the news. No he decide to out her in an embarrassing and awkward situation.
Ok sounds like Iva is on bs. Carlin told her the story she was not mad bc right after he asked if they should shower together and her response “No thank you, I need to get home and if we shower again, I may not get home until tomorrow.” Meaning she’d be screwing him all night again. But as soon as she learns that Alex is calling for her Carlin is all of a sudden a deceitful person. For the record I thought he should’ve told her before hand but her switch game is pissing me off. She’s doing what Alex did.
All and all I didn’t love Carlin and Iva as a couple after this part. I was not able to check back into their love story
