This is a vulnerable,tenacious collection of poems that reads like a memoir. I met this young poet through an on line artist “residency” that gave us the opportunity to collaborate with our art forms. This collection of poems captures the sway of her moods between goddess strength and the hopelessness of the considerable racism and ablism biases that she has faced her whole young life. Her voice is a welcome addition to a world that tends not to listen

incredible.

Every one of these was relatable (as you can tell by my highlights. The best book of poetry I’ve read since high school. Highly recommend!
