Spyder They say everyone has three great loves in their life. But I only had one, and she was a motorcycle I’d built with my own two hands. My bike was a testament to how far I’d come, from a gutter child to a business owner. From a bullied, quiet kid to a man with friends that’d lay down their lives to me as much as I would for them. My bike, my business, and my buds— the three B’s that I couldn’t live without and would defend to the death. Life was about to throw one more ‘B’ at me, though, and my life philosophy was about to get turned up on its head. Bailey— she wasn’t fierce or outspoken, but quiet and determined. And she was a magnet for trouble.
Raven Scott is a contemporary romance author who dabbles in suspenseful stories. As a reader, she loves when twists and turns pop out in stories and strives to do the same in her own work. When she isn't writing, you can find her by the beach with a Sangria in hand, taking in the scenery.
POV: dual HUMOR: some dark humor F BOMBS: yes SEX SCENES: yes CLIFFHANGER: yes NEW AUTHOR FOR ME: yes SENSITIVITY WARNING: past physical abuse, dysfunctional family, biting, not asking if clean/tested, bloody/gory, some violence
Clapping and applauding the first chapter. Minus the slap, I applaud Bailey for being smart (by having another person present) and strong in taking steps to getting away from her abuser. Bravo!
Things you'll hear a lot in this story: Bailey on her phone yelling at the caller, her habit of "scrunched up my nose," flashbacks/memories of her ex, and Spyder's "sharp, short nails."
Confusing parts: Dialogue - can't always tell who's speaking and quotation marks even when expressing internal thoughts, typos/wording/writing style? - sometimes rereading sentences and it still doesn't make sense. And then the end - it just ends abruptly - that was unexpected.

Spyder is the de facto head of a very small MC - more a group of friends. He runs into Bailey at bar and they hook up. Bailey is on the run from an abusive relationship while dealing with selfish family and family drama. Spyder is a momentary escape for her.
The story had both positives and negatives. While the character backstory and emotional space is done well, the meet, leave, meet again is very convoluted. At times I felt the story was going one way and then veered onto another path. And this is not in the good, keeps the reader guessing way.
The book is entertaining enough ( well, more the start and then end part) for a light relaxing afternoon read.

What an absolutely fantastic beginning to a series. Bailey has been through so much and is trying to escape an abusive relationship when she meets Spyder and he is the just the calm that Bailey needs in her life. He’s able to talk her through anything. Can these to make it? Or will Bailey’s past be too much?
Nothing was really happening. I got to 50% and it was the tamest Motorcycle club book ive ever read. Just so much 'woe, is me' coming from both the hero and heroine that it really bogged down the story. When every book has characters with tragic pasts, it all blends together and i grow desensitized to it.
The heroine is quite an oddity. She has a sister and mother that care not one iota for her but drag her into their drama all the time. She has dealt with an abusive ex but finds herself living in her car.
She meets the hero at a bar and they end up having a connection but still go their separate ways. He tried to open her eyes to her family but she wasn’t receptive.
There is drama with the ex who is strange what stalker isn’t I guess. They reconnect while she needs to deal with her job, stalker and family. I still liked her resilience and how straight up the hero was. Overall a decent read.🙃
I didn't like this story at all. It wasn't original or impressive. It's just like the author publishes book after book quickly leaving originality out of them. Just not for me.
Woah…Spyder’s Bite is hot and very intense. Elizabeth Knox, author, has a way of writing fantastic worlds and characters that come together to create the perfect combination of hot books that you will lose yourself in. From the first page to the last you will be engrossed in the lives of Bailey and Spyder. Spyder’s Bite is the first book in the Warpath MC. Spyder’s Bite shows the creation of the Warpath MC. Spyder and his closest friends that are considered family is the beginning of the Warpath MC. Spyder was their acknowledged leader and he had to figure out what the future would hold for himself and his friends and how they were going to grow along with the risk involved. Spyder’s Bite was mainly about Bailey and her problems and how she and Spyder came together. Bailey was a mess when she and Spyder met and they had a lot of issues that had to be resolved as individuals and as a couple. Bailey really had a lot of issues that had to be resolved. I can’t say they had a HEA but they are on their way to it and I am assuming we will see more of them as the Warpath MC starts to grow. Spyder said it best “I bet if you weren’t a stressed-out mess, I’d already be in love with you, Bailey. Even with all the bullshit, I’m here, aren’t I? Dealing with all your bullshit.” Not the most romantic declaration but it was painfully true that Bailey had a lot to deal with. Anyway, if you are like me then you love books with lots of twist, turns, things going sideways, emotions, surprises, revelations, and heat. The heat and the emotional responses as you are reading are the most important. The twist, turns, etc are what keep you engrossed to the point you don’t want interruptions or to put the book (whatever device you are using for me it’s my iPad with the kindle app) down. All of the above are found in Spyder’s Bite and rates an easy 5⭐️ review that I will gladly recommend. Hope you enjoy reading Spyder’s Bite as much as I have.
A story that is both exciting and romantic with a dash of suspense to keep the reader guessing! by sewsummore
Bailey is a young woman that had made the mistake of trusting the wrong man and was beaten for it. She packs up her belongings and sells her furniture, and leaves town after getting her revenge on her attacker, destroying his life as he destroyed hers. She continues working remotely and traveling, sleeping in her car to save money, terrified that her attacker will find her again. One night she stops for a drink in a bar intending to stop in a hotel later that night. When a fellow drinker accosts her, she is rescued by a big mountain of a man to who she is instantly attracted. Spyder was President of the Warpath MC Club, a small Club he started with his best friends. Several drinks later, Spyder finds her a room and leaves her to sleep off the drinks she had that night, leaving a message to call him when she wakes up. When they meet the next day, she tells him her story, and he offers to help her if she is ever in need. Some weeks later, she sees her attacker and fears he is following her and calls Spyder, who was close by delivering an order for his business. Spyder finds Bailey a nervous wreck and convinces her to return home with him. There is much more danger in store for Bailey, but I will leave you to discover the full story when you read the book for yourself. I enjoyed reading this book, and Spyder is the perfect protector for Bailey. He is both a friend and lover to Bailey and understands the trauma she went through. The author has woven an exciting and romantic story, with a dash of suspense to keep the reader guessing.

Spyder is the president of the Warpath MC. He owns a junkyard and chop shop. He grew from a quiet kid, to bada$$ that doesn't take crap from anyone and only has time for one night stands.
Bailey is a smart, talented computer tech, with a crappy mom and sister. When she allows a man she dated briefly to stay a few nights on her couch, little did she know the Pandora's box she was opening. It took too long for her to get this abusive man out of her life but she took her revenge and fled.
Spyder and Bailey hook up after Bailey makes a pit stop in a local bar. That night left a lasting impression on both of them. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and I was happy
Bailey returned to Spyder. Bailey's abusive ex is stalking her, while her family trashes on her, so Spyder takes her under his wing.
I really liked this couple, steamy, off the charts heat. However, I was surprised by the spanking and biting on their first night with no discussion, especially after he knew she had been traumatized by her ex. There were some transitions issues that had me going back to check what I read and there were some word choices that didn't quite fit the scene. Even though the book ends abruptly, I still enjoyed their story and look forward to more books with this new MC.
As with many MCs there are scenes that may be difficult for some readers due to violence, abuse and sexual practices.

Spyder's Bite: Warpath MC#1 is a great start to a new MC series by Raven Scott and Elizabeth Knox. This story was raw, heart breaking with plenty of steam thrown in.as you follow the journey of Spyder and Bailey. The story is about Spyder and his close friends starting Warpath MC doing things their way as his business, his brothers and family come first. When Bailey becomes involved with this band of bikers things are about to change for all of them. Bailey is a young battered woman fleeing from an abusive relationship trying to start a new life. Through all of this turmoil, she is dealing with the fact that her mother and sister have no love for her, as they emotionally abuse her which is draining all of the life out of her. The journey between Spyder and Bailey is gut-wrenching, as Spyder helps this young woman fight the demons that are stopping her from living as her protector and lover. When her life is on the line again from her ex, Spyder will do all he can to save her and show her that she will never be alone again. Through all of the set backs, with Spyder's strength, Bailey is slowly gaining the confidence and self-esteem she needs so she can turn her life around for the better as she has finally found a family in Spyder and his brothers. I highly recommend this new series, and can't wait for the next book.
Okay, this is a new series by Raven Scott and Elizabeth Knox and it starts off with a bang. So I was immediately drawn into the story with Bailey. She is not like most ladies of any mc. She is emotional and has been through a lot. Her family uses her and that is just a hard pill to swallow. However, one day she decides to take matter into her hands after one fateful night. So you will meet Ryan and ugh I hate him but he is the mysterious factor in this book. Then we meet Spyder the Prez of Warpath MC's. Now he is interesting and different from other male characters. He runs a small chapter and things are run on a smaller scale. However, he is just as lethal as any other member. Bailey doesn't seem afraid of him and she does not want to know what he does with the mc. The thing about this book is we get more emotions and not the insta love. Bailey and Spyder characters build along the way with hard truths and finally love. The question comes down to will she want to know more about the club? Will she become involved or help in any way? I was sad about one thing but you will understand when you come across it. I hope to see more of this couple.

Well I was a bit surprised and a bit disappointed. This is not your typical MC, and it is not the typical biker trope either. I was a bit confused and I thought that while Baily was an ok character I really thought that she would be a bit more engaging! She came off to me as being very weak and naïve, not in regards to her relationship with her sister and mother but with regards to her ex. She is portrayed as being really smart although she came across as not like that so much. Spyder (Love the name) was wickedly good and I thought that him being the way he was he held back except when it counted. Would I recommend this book Oh HECK YEAH! I like that it was not all club business and that Spyder really tries to bring Baily into the MC with open arms. Delving into the club business I thought was sporadic at best; some of the things that you consider club business, the beans are spilled; when somethings that you would think was not it was kept close to the vest! All in all good book, good story! I can not wait to see what comes next!

Bailey got her revenge on her abusive ex as she destroys his life before kicking him to the curb and then leaving the state to get away from him. Bailey has been on the road for months looking for someplace to settle down. When she runs into Spyder at a bar, they share an instant connection that leads to some blunt conversations over the next couple days as Spyder gives her the best orgasms of her life. Bailey’s family drama rears its ugly head with Spyder giving her some harsh truths & Bailey does the only thing she can think of and races out of town. Spyder can’t get Bailey off his mind and when he sees her again, he is not letting her go, especially with her psycho ex lurking around. Things between them heat up fast & Spyder is left to consider how he wants to move forward with his MC as he knows his future is with Bailey at his side but how much risk is too much? Bailey’s past is not content to rest and when everything implodes, will Spyder be able to save the woman who has stolen his heart? This ends on a HFN.

This book started out good with Bailey realizing she's in a bad relationship then taking steps to get out of it. Even the payback is good. Then its all down hill for me after that because my vision of an MC novel is not met.
While Spider is nice he's not my idea of an alpha MC Pres. He's just nice, sympathetic, abliging. Not a leader, a take charge kind of guy who tells you what to do and it's gruff but sexy so you don't mind obeying because he has your best interests in mind. The savagery in the end is good but not enough to save this book for me.
Bailey as a heroine is unbefitting also. While she started out great the middle is just her being annoyed by family when like Spider said she could just STOP ANSWERING THE PHONE. Which she finally takes his advice in the end but hell that could have happened chapters earlier.
In the end two people did what some of us will never do and that's put themselves out there for our viewing pleasure and for that they deserve recognition. So though this book wasn't my cuppa (😉for the English people)I appreciate the authors time and effort.
This was a fantastic start to a new series. Raven and Elizabeth did such a good start with this MC. It is a little different than other MCs I’ve read. That doesn’t take away from the book at all. Spyder is the Prez and he meets Bailey at a bar. Bailey had to run to save her life. She has had a hard time with her family since she was a little girl. You can tell her mother and sister don’t care about her at all, and she is better off without them. Bailey and Spyder have a steamy weekend, and then a disagreement has her leaving. Months go by before they collide together again. Now though, her past is chasing her. Spyder promises he will keep her safe. This has action, suspense, danger, twists, stalkers and survival.. Spyder and Bailey have a unique connection and he will protect her at all costs. I can’t wait to see what happens in this series. This shows that no matter how dark and bad things can get, there is always light at the end of the tunnel You can survive once you start taking the steps towards your own happiness.
This is not your typical MC book the club seems not very organized and don't have a clubhouse that is mentioned but the story is very good. Bailey leaves her life to escape an abusive relationship she meets Spyder and they end up having a few days together before he makes her mad and she disappears again. He keeps thinking about her even months later wishes she would return. Bailey is living out of her SUV moving from place to place until fate brings her and Spyder back together. They decide that they want to be together but then her ex shows up and has been stalking her. Bailey is also dealing with drama from her mom and sister...it is heartbreaking the way her mom just throws her away...but Spyder helps her come to terms with the dysfunctional relationship and helps her learn to live again. This is a great start to this new series and looks like the club will be becoming more organized in future books.

This is the first book in the story of The Warpath MC and who better to write it than the queen of the MC romance Elizabeth Knox This is actually about a small club that tends to mind it's own business
Bailey is the one that her family relies on and they do take advantage but she has had enough and she is no longer taking it This leads her to Ryan she thinks she has found the man for her but he actually turns into an abuser when she asks him to leave unable to handle any more drama she leaves her hometown to start over These leads her to the next man in her life Spyder he is the President of the Warpath MC and a owner of his own business after clawing his way from the gutter His life revolves around the three B's Business bothers and bikes but he is about to add a fourth B Bailey She doesn't expect to be drawn to a rough tough biker but there is something about him that calls to her Can thy have a future you will have to read to see
This is the first story in the Warpath MC series where the members of Warpath MC are being introduced. The leader/president is Spyder and this is his and Bailey's story. Bailey is not having an easy life. She is actually running away -- from the boyfriend who beat her up, her mom who only calls when she needed something from her and her sister who refused to grow up and be an adult. It seems no one cares about her except for Spyder, a stranger with a questionable job but she felt safe with him. Spyder is contented with his life with his friends in the MC, who he considers family, but a brief time with Bailey and he can't stop thinking about her. But Bailey has a lot of baggage. Will Spyder be able to help Bailey? Will Bailey be able to see past Spyder's activities to be with him? This is a good introduction to the Warpath MC series and I am looking forward to reading more. Book 1 of Warpath MC series. Spyder is the Prez. Bailey is looking to put some miles between her and her abusive ex when she meets Spyder in a bar. A one-night stand could develop into something more but is Bailey ready to stop running? There is as much emotional drama as physical in this book - a lot of dialogue that bolsters the development of the main characters as well as their relationships with others. Is Bailey a glutton for punishment? Some of her reactions seem monotonous where her family is concerned. I'm surprised Spyder is so open with her about club business. Otherwise, he is a savage in action. He's usually understanding of her mental state, very supportive & protective. I like that about the story. Bailey finally has someone looking out for her. I also enjoyed this glimpse into the beginnings of an MC and I'm looking forward to the next story.

I wanted to like this book because the premise seemed different. On the suface, Bailey seemed strong and determined even escaping an abusive relationship. Spyker was laid back and solid as a good interest for her. Then something occurred in the plot and extensive drama with her mom and sister took top priority in the entire plot. Numerous phone arguments, leaving, and acting out were pervasive even when the abuser "happened"to appear from across the country.
Just an annoyance was the word "baby " which was always in italics. Why? I have no idea but it was constant, distracting, and annoying like her " scrunched nose" which seemed to appear in every other sentence. Cohesive plotting and plugging up obvious holes where transitions from one scene to the next would be great. I did like Spyder and his friends. The angst and drama was all on Bailey and her mommy issues -no MC action.
Bailey's been wandering around with a car full of her stuff for a little while. Her ex is abusive and dangerous. Her mother and sister just use her. She feels like she owes them or maybe it's just that she thinks if she's what they need, they'll love her. Probably not going to happen. Then she meets Spyder who's a biker. He's big and tough and rough and not like she thought she'd be attracted to, but something about him draws her. Then things heat up and she's not sure if she wants to be anywhere else. She's not sure what's happening between them, but whatever it is she's willing to go for it. Somebody's following her and she doesn't know how or why but her ex seems to know exactly where she is all the time. She might need Spider more than she thought.

Bailey has been alone most of her life. She is the go between for her mother and sister. Her dad died when she was younger, and quite frankly, her family sucks. Trying to be a good person, but unsure of her decision, she lets Ryan stay with her. When she asks him to leave, he shows his true, violent self, and hurts her. She leaves her hometown for a fresh start. Spyder, muscle bound, broad shoulders, deep voice, sex personified, just yummy, meets Bailey in a bar. Chemistry and passion egnite! * Fanning myself * Holy hotness! Spyder and Bailey spend a couple of days together. What happens next is a complicated mess. Tempers flare, boundaries are tested, and time a part becomes painful! Readers will love what happens when these two reunite! Beware, this will take you on a wild ride!

This book gave me all I want in MC reads with the hot biker, an alpha male looking out for his woman, twists and turns and plenty of steam. Bailey had made a mistake by trusting someone who eventually wound up beating her but she took revenge on him before she left town. Now she’s on the run looking over her shoulder.
Spyder is the Prez of the Warpath MC which is a club he built with his brothers. He sees Bailey in a bar and rescues her from some smuck at this bar and she confides in him with her past history. Spyder told her to give him a call if she ever needs anything. Well, Bailey ends up making that call a few weeks later.
Spyder is a protector and a lover but with everything happening you will have to read to see how this will all work out. This book is a great start to this new series. I can’t wait to read more.
Scott and Knox have teamed up for another get intro to a great MC read / series. This is book 1 in Warpath MC series and is the story of Spyder and Bailey. i like that this is the beginning of a new series that's not previously tied to another so we have a new cast of characters to fall in love with. Spyder is the prez of this MC that he build with his brothers - they tend to stay to themselves but that's not to say they won't rise up when needed. There is an instant attraction when Bailey and Spyder meet but Bailey has been used and abused and finds it hard to trust anyone. Well written - of course, did you see who wrote this?!? with good characters and storyline - looking forward to more from this MC!!!

Where does Raven Scott and Elizabeth Knox come up with all these outstanding, interesting, and amazing stories. This is the new series Warpath which is an MC story. We have Spyder who is the pres of Warpath MC. He had a tough life and now owns a junk yard chop shop. Bailey also has a crappy life and it put down by her family. She lets her boyfriend to camp out on the sofa and now is trying to get the abusive guy out of her life. Bailey and Spyder meet and it is just fireworks. The interaction and the way Spyder acts towards Bailey is amazing. The other scenes are hot. I could not put it down, I just needed to know what happens. This series is off to a great start and cannot wait for more. This is a must read.

Bailey is a successful woman down on her luck after ending an abusive relationship and moving across the country to get away from the situation. Spyder isn't looking for much, just someone to spend time with. He likes her, but lets her go...
When she pops back into his life, Spyder's not so keen to let her slip away again, especially when she's needing his help. Can he convince Bailey to stick with him in her storm? Can Bailey convince herself to be brave enough to live unburdened by the past?
This is the start of a new series. It is well written, and the story reaches out and grabs your attention until you read it twice. Very, very well worth the read.

Holy cow, it's really a brand new series and not somehow previously connected to another storyline. Bailey is escaping an abusive relationship and Spyder is just beginning his MC with his "brothers". Not only is Bailey's ex an issue, but her mom and sister are no winners either. Spyder is a natural protector and does what he does best. Warpath MC is a little different than the usual MCs and I'm still on the fence about how I like that. Innovative, absolutely. But I love the usual MC trope, so I'm still deciding how I like this one. Nevertheless, I'll be checking out the next story in the series.

This book is about Spyder and Bailey, they are both really great people, the authors wrote them really well. I loved them together. Bailey is used to being used and not cared about so when she meets spyder she finds it hard to actually believe he cares without something in return. Bailey travels from her home (I won’t say why so I don’t give too much details. Read the book :). ) and that’s when she meets Spyder. The growth of Bailey through out the book is great. Her mom is a piece of work tho! I felt horrible for Bailey and near tears. This a great MC book.. it has the drama and intense attraction, no club sluts in this one tho. I can’t wait to read about the rest of the MC crew!

This is the first in a new series from this talented duo, and what a remarkable beginning this story is. Spyder is the President of the MC, and he runs a close-knit ship. Bailey is emotionally and physically abused, and when she is pushed to breaking point, she packs up her belongings, and sells what she must, to move away and start again, but this is only when she gets revenge on her attacker after he destroyed her life. Spyder helps Bailey to fight her demons and slowly gain confidence and her self-esteem and helping her to move on with her life. Will Spyder be able to protect Bailey when her past comes back to haunt her? This is a well written story which is raw, gritty, emotional, and with drama and love.
I found this book to very interesting with complex characters. The story line was raw and edgy and very emotional for our heroine, Bailey, who escaped an abusive relationship and she meets Spyder and his brothers from the Warpath MC. There is an attraction between Bailey and Spyder but their relationship is not all champagne and roses. Elizabeth Knox and Raven Scott have delivered a great book which combined with the intensity of the story line is very good read. This is the start of a new series which promises to be a bit on the dark side and I absolutely loved it and am looking forward to reading more. if the rest of the books in this series are this good then you are in for a wild ride.
