Every trilogy has that one book that doesn't quite hit the mark, right? For me, this one takes that spot. It's not a bad read, and the ending is fine, but it just didn't grab me like the others. The story felt a bit off compared to the rest of the series. Still worth finishing, but definitely my least favorite of the bunch.
yes, there are some moments in this book that could generate a critical review, but I gave it 4 stars because it has a lot of innovative ideas about social media and its influence on our lives today.
It shows first of all the positive and negative sides of the Internet's influence on our life.
We all know that our days even revolutions can be organized through the Internet. It all depends on who is manipulating people behind the camera. It is easy to dictate mostly to young people what to wear or drink, how to look and behave.
The Hurst trilogy shows all of this and I highly appreciate his courage to do this.
I loved this final conclusion in the trilogy! It got repetitive at times, but that didn’t stop me from giving it 5 stars! Yes, it’s a bit unrealistic, but it was so much fun! I loved the final ten percent! An awesome end! I will miss you Emily!!
As always I could not put this book down; Daniel has done it again! I was so curious to see what the third installment would hold and I loved every minute of this book!
I also enjoy that he leaves a tiny opening at the ending of his books, that leave you wanting more!
This is the riveting third in the Trilogy of Influence books. It is such a gripping story and so much action and twists too. I literally couldn't put it down! Its about an influencer online and is very much set in the "now", Full of current thinking and the way life is seen and moulded by influencers. IT was an amazing ride this book. You cant guess what will happen and youre on the edge of your seat all the way through! Very exciting read, but do read the other two first! Its worth it.
This is the last book in the trilogy with Emily Bennett and her plan to get revenge. When everyone thought that she was dead along with all the other influencers we find that her adventure was just starting. Parties and fame can lead into Fear, Death and Tragedy. This exciting end is a real page turner and will leave you wanting more. Maybe we will hear again from Emily but this book is full of twists you wont want to miss.
Always enjoy reading a Daniel Hurst book and find its never boring....in fact the next one is his newest book THE DOCTORS CHILD and already am loving it.
I enjoyed Daniel's other books so gave this series a try. It was terrible. Very repetitive. I get that the dialogue was from different characters but the constant repetition was boring. The premise was good. Without the repetition, the content would fit in one book. Are you bored with my repetition? Then don't read this series.
This was the conclusion of the trilogy in this series. It was far fetched and over the top and if you're able to suspend belief and gullible enough to believe that a girl with nothing from Billericay can in less than a year become so powerful an influencer, not to mention able to handle herself better than James Bond and drive better than Lewis Hamilton you might enjoy this. 2 and a half stars.
I really enjoyed Influenced book 3 of the Influencing Trilogy by Daniel Hurst.
Both Ivan Ilghiz and Emily Bennett are now back in the clutches of Sebastian Sawyer who has miraculously risen from the dead and has reinvented himself by not only changing his name to Jack Villeroy and dying his hair from blonde to black and also changing his body shape by exercise.
Sebastian also plays a twist of the game Russian roulette but not with guns but whisky glasses offered to both Emily and Ilghiz which he informs them contains poison in his hotel suite.
They have all arrived in Dubai for a spectacular event in order for Sebastian aka Jack Villeroy to announce to the world his new website called Lifelok which is to supersede PhoGlow and to drum up more new Influencer's in the process and he has invented a new whole ball game with his new ideas.
Sebastian thrives on having control and power over his Influencers as boss and Influencer's like Emily thrive on adding many more followers to her posts on social media.
Unbeknown to Sebastian aka Jack, Emily had sent an email to Florence Lee the Podcaster to set things in motion if she had not heard anything from Emily within forty-eight hours and to assume that Emily has been murdered by Sebastian aka Jack and that Florence has to expose Sebastian aka Jack for what he is by podcasting on air for any information.
There is an exciting car and private jet chase which ends this fantastic trilogy which will feel like your heart is going to jump out of your chest.
The saying goes the grass is not always greener on the other side which has certainly beeen the case for Emily and her band of Influencers.
This series of three books: Influence, Influencer and Influenced tells the story of Emily Bennett and her dreams of becoming a social media influencer. When her dreams become a reality and she travels to exotic locations all over the globe meeting affluent and famous celebrities she feels her dreams have been fulfilled. But all is not as it appears to be when she realizes that Sebastian Sawyer, the man who recruited her has been using her and her fellow influencers for his own evil purposes. sSe begins to realize that she may not be living her dreams after all and that her and her Mums lives are in jeopardy. This is a real thrill ride as Emily decides she doesn't want to follow Sebastians dictates any longer. Each book in the series is more thrilling than the pervious and I was unable to stop reading. This is a commentary, also, on social media and the influence it has. Highly enjoyed and series and have found a new author to follow.
Emily Bennet is the sole survivor of the explosion that took everyone else's lives at the party held on a luxurious ship. Believed dead, she is in hiding. But it's only a matter of time until Sebastian finds her.
This is the final instalment of the Influence trilogy, but unfortunately, in my opinion, it is the weakest of all. I do like the idea behind the whole story, but I wasn't particularly fond of the writing style. I found that the story continued to be packed full of repetition and unnecessary perspectives, which were my main objections in the previous books and since they weren't rectified, I couldn't excuse a higher rating. My opinion is, however, in the minority so don't feel swayed by my review.
The final book in this amazing trilogy did not disappoint!!
Emily Bennett is back—and she’s not done yet. Just when everyone believed she had perished alongside the other influencers, it turns out her story was only beginning. Fueled by revenge, Emily dives headfirst into a world of glitz and chaos, where parties and fame quickly spiral into fear, death, and tragedy.
This thrilling conclusion is a total page-turner, packed with jaw-dropping twists and emotional punches. I absolutely loved Emily—her strength, her flaws, her fire. I’ll miss her deeply, but what an unforgettable sendoff.
Here’s hoping we haven’t seen the last of her... 👀
this was a wonderful wonderful trilogy! From page 1, of book one, you will be instantly hooked and addicted! A lot of real life is brought out in this trilogy, however, Emily is about to experience the excitement of a lifetime! In this third book, she is trying to fight her way back home. You won’t believe what she must go through! there are some events that definitely do not turn out the way you expect, in this final book of the trilogy. This is a must read trilogy! You won’t be disappointed!
Don't miss any of these Influencer books. Each book is complete standing alone, but should be read consecutively, as the stories build & grow the characters. The idea of influencers was new to me, but I have seen some reviews on certain websites where reviewers are customers who sometimes receive product for their review. Interesting! You may feel that the author left some loose strings hanging, but he does fill all the holes by the end of the Trilogy. Daniel Hurst is a favorite author of mine, but I did not receive anything from him for this review! 😁
Just read all of the influence trilogy back to back. I’m a big fan of Daniel Hurst and have read all his other books so was keen to read these too and they didn’t disappoint. While this book started to stretch the ‘this might happen in real life’ feeling I had from book 1 (and to an extent book 2), it didn’t take away from my enjoyment. I really like the style of multiple points of view and short chapters, it makes me want to read on! Fab ending to a fab trilogy!
I loved this series, even though I didn’t actually read number 2. Not because I didn’t want to but because of an error at Amazon which meant I received the cover of book 2 but the story inside was book 1 (on kindle). I managed to figure out what had happened & loved these books.
This 3rd and final in the trilogy, and the best of the 3 in my opinion. I was gripped and enjoyed all the twists and turns the author sent us down. Very well written and I'm pleased I kept going after initially not being too impressed with the first book in this series. Read this in one sitting as I do wanted to see the outcome.
I have to give this book 3 stars as the idea of the story is excellent. However, there is even more repetition on this book than in book 2. We are told the same information over and over and it became a little tedious. Maybe a sub plot would have helped? It felt rushed and padded, to stretch the story line. Disappointing execution of a brilliant idea.
This entire series was phenomenal. I loved each character, and by the end I just adored Emily and was rooting for her! It was suspenseful, but I also found my self enjoying the cat and mouse hunt between Emily and Sebastian. I also thoroughly enjoyed the epilogue where justice was served to Derek. If you love fast paced suspense, you will adore this series!

I read the whole trilogy, one after the other. What an intense ride. Three GREAT thrillers to get lost in. Each one is action packed, they capture the dark side of social media and the damage that it can do...
Stop scrolling and put your phone down today, pay attention to those that you love and get back to real life.
I’ll admit I wasn’t too enthused about reading this, as I have read others about influencers and didn’t want to read another with the same topic. However, it sucked me in and I knew it would be different. I had to begin the next book as soon as I finished the previous one. I will say I LOVED the ending. Tidy and satisfying!
And what we don't know about their life is what we should know.
Pay attention to today's young people. It is true, they are not as savvy as they seem. As an older soul, I wish for today's youth a safer transition to adulthood. If only we had raised them to listen more carefully, maybe these life threatening situations would not be happening. Take time to hear us.
The Influencing Trilogy is one of the best series I have ever read. Mostly when I finish a book I'm sad that the story has ended, but Daniels books just lead me to the next and the next. Thank you Daniel for entertaining an 80 yr old mystery lover. Pat Clark
Another fab book completes the triology that is 'lnflluened'. It completes the 3 book series and we find out what happens to our heroine. It's superbly written & if you're looking for a good storyline then look no further. Well recommended
This trilogy was incredible kept me gripped and showed the darker side of social media and influencers and the power of people I have now officially read all of Daniel Hursts books they have all been 5 star!
Emily was a heroine in this trilogy. She saved her life from a ruthless man and learned a valuable lesson. Social media is nothing compared to putting your phone down and enjoying human interaction. Never a more tried statement.
Good, he repeats himself a lot and tends to describe things like he’s talking to a child. Also, an American businessman would not say air-con or describe the temperature in Celsius. Likable characters, even the evil ones! ;-)
