Once more Sarah has crafted an amazing fun episode in Sophia's evolution as a magician dragonrider. Taking names, kicking ass and making the world a better place for love and happiness to flourish
The demon dragons have magnetized to there riders. They have taken over the elven home land! The Dragon Elite have been asked to take it back. What will they have to do to get it back?
Another amazing adventure with the Beaufort sisters. I really love reading about Sophia and her adventures with Lunis. This was another one of their action packed adventures, and once again it has left me eagerly waiting for the next one. I really look forward to finding out how The Dragon Elite will handle getting the Rouge Riders under control once and for all.
It’s wonderful how Sophia and Lunis continue to learn and grow, becoming closer and also working independently of each other. The teamwork shown between not only dragons and riders, but between friends and allies is refreshing.
As always, Sarah shares insightful tidbits that resonate with me, and have me thinking. Her food references in this book in particular had me drooling! So many yummy foods! Then, of course, I was also about in tears form laughing so hard as well.
All in all, another excellent story in Sophia’s chronicles and I’m eagerly awaiting the next one.
This one gets a good dose of zany and funny more than usual i think with a few good expansions on some of our characters whilst keeping some good action scenes. Of course the real star is Lun and Liz as they are just that comedy double act that works so well that we all love.
I really enjoy these but this series (more than Liv or either of Paris's) seems to have so many micro-aggressions which makes me wonder if there is any sort of sensitivity reader on the team. The series has a fairy respectful depiction of an Indigenous man (I am not Indigenous so my views should not be held above those that are) but then Sophia saying something about 'cowboys and Indians'?! That whole thing was, quite literally, part of a genocide. I understand that terms have cultural meanings and we lose the original meanings but I just don't see how no one caught on to this. And while some Indigenous people do self-identify as Indians, it tends not to be a term that should be bandied about by non-Indigenous people.
We also don't say Eskimo!! It's derogatory!! Even in a joke where the person is corrected. Just don't.
This is especially frustrating as these books are about fighting injustice but each book has a couple moments that are really uncomfortable and totally unnecessary. Sometimes books have problematic elements that are part of a larger plot device (like an evil shaman written by a white person etc etc), but most of the problems in these books are throw away lines that are racist, fatphobic, etc and don't need to be there and don't impact the story other than jolting people out of it.
Yay, Ainsley is back but she's different. I do miss the whacky elf but lets see where her and Hiker go this time round. Lunis is getting better but isn't right yet. Wilder gets kidnapped on purpose (what is up with these people to think that's a good idea) and we have the demon dragons forming their own group, I can see them causing trouble as well as having trouble within their ranks later.

Wow, another winner of a book. This is Book 10 in the series and there is always fun and adventure. In Part One, Sophia is introduced to a group of Demon Dragons and their riders. This is the group that split off from the Gullington once they learned to fly. The Dragon Elite were hoping to bring this group into their fold but it doesn't appear it's going to happen. Part Two, is full of new problems. Not only are the Rogue Riders still top of the list but the Fairy Godmother College is at risk. It seems normal for Sophia. In order to solve one problem, there are two or three more that come first. Now we sit and wait for book eleven and more love and adventures with Sophia, Lunis and the gang.
The demon dragonettes who escaped are starting to find riders. But the new riders have ulterior movies that don’t look good for the official Dragon Riders and want to take over from them.
Lots of great situations, problems and battles. But waaaay too much sarcasm and dumb puns. Especially from Lunis and Evan. Can’t wait to finish this section of the series. Hopefully, the Paris Beaufort section is better.
Footnote: 1) We finally get rid of Gusman just have the Rogue Dragons Riders try to take over.
Fave scenes: Sophia and Tanner’s dragon fight, bath bombs, fighting the strange cow and the Library’s unexpected visitor.
I adored this 10th book in the series. The battles, challenges, camaraderie, humor and romance are exploding in this story, as the Demon Dragons and their new riders present fresh problems and challenges for the Dragon Elite. This story has lots of exciting fights, innovative problem solving by Sophia and the gang, plenty of laughs and some heartwarming developments. I love how all the characters have distinct personalities and the relationships grow in depth with each book. This story will keep you captivated, make you laugh and leave you wanting more.
S.Beafont and het elite Dragon rides are amazing. I have fallen in love with all of them. Kudos to bringing Ten in from her dream travelers series. I give that series a two thumbs up as well. She has incorporated drama, comedy and thrills that kept me turning the pages long when I should have been asleep. The cameos of Living and her husband are also fun due to having read that series too. Its like old friends stopping by to say hi. Thank you again for a fantastic read.
This is a spin off series from the "Unstoppable LIV Beaufont"..which is a great series. The story is about Sophia Beaufont (LIV's little sis) and about her being the 1st dragon rider in 100 years and 1st female rider EvER & all of her and her dragons challenges and adventures and love..ect. I love the characters and personalities in this series and its funny. I also really enjoy how author pulls in characters from Sister LiV story. Mrs.C 💋
What a great book. The development of all the characters is amazing! The side story sublime. I flat out love this story. Everything in this series is about the love and respect of everything that should be part of all of our lives. I have the next book ordered and am looking forward to the new year when it releases. How appropriate! Party on!
Another awesome Sophia installment. These books just keep entertaining from beginning to end. This one had so much action, adventure and humour! Lunis's jokes may or may not be getting better!! I loved the sneaky additions of some characters from Sarah's other series! I can't wait to see what happens next for the Dragon Elite and Rouge Riders!
What can I say bot Sarah and Michael have done it again and produced an outstanding story. There is a little touch of everything in this one some laughs, sadness, joy, excitement, adventure, love, and family togetherness captured in these few pages. So much squeezed into such a small space and they do it every time. Such a wonder!!!!! Loved it!!!!
Sophia and the Elite Dragon Riders ride in to save the day yet again in the latest book this interesting series. Demon Dragons and their riders, over drinking Gnomes, and a college that needs saved from a love potion gone wrong. Sophia deals with even more craziness in this book! Good read, just like all the others.
S. Beaufont continues to prove her worth as the first female dragon rider in the Dragon Elite. The conflicts overlap and almost overwhelm our heroine and her team of flying wizards, her sister, the King of Fae and a cast of misfit magical characters that keep the story going. Another enjoyable installment.
Once again Sarah Nolfke and Michael Anderle have given us a great book to distract us from wherever our lives have us at the moment. The adventures, the development of characters and the bit of romance are all here. So take some time to enjoy book 10 and I am on my way to 11.
This series has been more than entertaining. My imagination has regained its spark! The adventures, conversations had my attention completely inc volvef
How can the Beaufont family have so many brave, talented & exciting people in one family?? Their adventures just keep getting better and I love when they set off for side adventures together!
This addition held a lot of fun. Some cool things happen that I've been waiting to happen but I'm definitely not telling you about. It would spoil the fun.
I love these book series there’s MC development, world building, etc. The jokes are kind of funny but I feel that the way vegans and hippies are described are insulting.
First of all millions of animals are killed for meat, dairy, etc. So no, Sophia you don’t have to increase your meat in take. 🙄
Next who doesn’t know what kombucha is? Everyone who’s walked through the healthy food, drinks and substitutes aisle knows what kombucha or at least knows it’s a Drink. Also if they recalibrated Cupid’s bow then the hippies wouldn’t be so hippyish. Also I know people with dreads who have body hygiene.
Also vegans don’t eat quote from book “rabbit food” it’s a mixture of vegetables, beans, green leaves, etc. I don’t see rabbits eating some fried mung beans.
Being a hippy or being a vegan is a lifestyle that those people actively made to change themselves. Insulting them when people are already rude is not helping them being confident in their decision. I think that we need to support people in their decisions not bashing them and bullying them. So there. That’s my opinion. Also if Sophia is a good girlfriend she’d support Wilder on his decision. Any way that’s how I see it.
