In trying times, the first thing people lose is perspective.
This book will help you understand how to gain spiritual perspective even in times of chaos and uncertainty.
After a year like 2020, with its deadly pandemic and turbulent presidential election, Christians are eager to know what’s next. They want to understand the times and seasons and how to move forward.
In this book respected prophetic minister Chuck D. Pierce shows readers how to gain spiritual perspective by receiving revelation that leads to understanding. So many believers read the Word but don’t understand what it is saying. Yet Pierce says it is understanding that will give them the perspective that moves them from where they are to the future God has for them. We lose perspective when we try to put understanding before revelation. In this season we are supposed to wait for revelation, and then we will gain understanding.
We have a future, but we have to put the pieces together to get there. We have to take risks to get there. We have to grow in our understanding in order to get there. This book will use biblical and practical wisdom to help readers see their lives as God sees them and lay hold of the future He has in store for them.
Chuck Pierce has written many books. This one is my favorite and I think, his best.
There is a flow to this book that moves along at a good pace. I've always found him to say deep things that need reflection and unpacking, this book is more direct and plain, which I enjoyed. I could list many quotes that might help a reader decide to read this book, but because the book covers so much territory of Christian living in modern times and how to see oneself with God's perspective it's a little difficult to choose just a few quotes.
I've heard people say that they read this book 2-3 times. And my feeling is similar. I want to read it again. I'm one of those people that wants to jump chapters and read a book "out of order" and when I started this book I was doing that, but then I stopped and went back to re-read it start to finish and absorb from it a little more.
People of faith in Jesus will understand this statement: "The Lord has called you and will develop you as a weapon to destroy the works of the enemy." The chapter that this statement was in is very very good, giving you both identity and hope, titled: The Power of Revelation Makes Us a Radical People. This was one of my favorite chapters.
This book is both easily read, and turns out, is also a deep dive. Highly recommend.
