It's nice to see a comic strip by and about a Chinese Canadian, but the family life jokes here are so mild and generic as to make "Hi and Lois" look cutting edge.

I feel really guilty leaving this review, especially because the illustrations were quite good, it was clearly well intended, and the multicultural representation. Yet, the text was just so lame, boring, confusing, and pointless. Maybe one or two comics in a random newspaper would be digestible but more than 50 pages compiled together was not enjoyable to say the least. That said, maybe a family would like it?.. as that is the intended audience.

Parenting moments

This was inoffensive and cute, but it didn't have much else to offer. Maybe someone else might feel "seen" if they're a parent, but for the most part they felt lacking much in the way of humor or relatability.
