Fantastic read! Had to buy multiple copies because friends kept taking the one I was reading. Can't wait for another installment in the series. This author is witty, entertaining, and very clever. Kept my attention throughout the book.

The Ringmaster’s Interview by Colin C. Martin is a wild ride of horrific terror.

I loved the enthusiasm Martin had for this book. He used different fonts to describe many aspects of his stories, he had new pictures for each chapter, and each character was new and unique. There never was a dull moment.

When you read Martin’s book, it feels like he’s speaking it to you. His voice is strong, and while I had a fun time reading it, especially when I read about the reptilian woman, sometimes the writing was disjointed or a little too telly, which pulled me out.

I see a lot of potential with Martin's work, but this one didn't exactly hit the mark for me.

The quote I loved:
“Stefan felt as if the words were passing through eons of time and distance to reach him; he stood transfixed.”

The story is essentially split into two parts that contrast the opposing forces featured in “The Ringmaster’s Interview”. The narrative has a loose plot, which follows the development of one main character from a third person perspective. The protagonist of the story is caught between two interdimensional forces that influence the way of the world. Instead of the cliché “good vs evil” Martin classifies the opposing powers that be with fictional labels that are reminiscent of works from the fantasy genre: The Vitalians vs The Theogrants
If you have never consumed anything culturally subversive before, then you may become enthralled by some of the eye opening subject matter discussed in this novella. Aside from that, there isn’t much of a story being told, and the text itself could use some polish.
