Episode 6 Across the Glorious Galactic Empire, the legend of one woman continues to pervade. Students from the inner-sectors study her, those under self-rule revere her, and children on frontier worlds want to be her. Rescued by Messiah, and returned to full health, McGann now cuts a formidable figure. When special agents unexpectedly cross her path, how will she react? Will she prove to be the hero some believe her to be, or the villain the Union fear? Elsewhere, the lone survivor, fresh from battling a persistent enemy, now faces a new challenge. Harangued by strangers, demanding answers to impossible questions, this last one standing faces a choice. Truth or betrayal? Meanwhile, President Chilake seeks to find a way out of the conflict. As casualties mount and with others in his ear, the pressure is getting to him. Sometimes, when you release the tiger, it can prove too difficult to put back in the cage. “Unstoppable” is the sixth episode in the Hadrian’s Gate series. It explores the legend of Kayla McGann, throwing a light on her past exploits, the legacy of her deeds, and her indomitable nature.
Some authors suffer for their art, some suffer in not being able to fulfill their dream. With a few false starts in her twenties, this author decided to focus on her career in education, exploring her passions for science and history. Marriage and family came along, and attempts to pursue the writing ambitions further faltered. Writing needs peace and quiet to focus, and children seldom offer that space!
Now in her thirties, Georgia returns to the writing fold, a lifetime of story ideas desperate to get down on paper. Of course, it's never that easy. And where to start?
She could have started small, but instead launched into a sci-fi epic and has not looked back since!
The author hopes you'll join her on the Hadrian's Gate saga, the first episodes of which were published in late 2017. With several episodes written, and others in advanced planning, the material will keep on coming.
Georgia Knight lives in a small village in Yorkshire, UK. As a teacher and mother, her spare time is limited, but what she has is spent writing, running, writing, and running some more! Georgia is always happy to hear from readers, so please feel free to get in touch. You can contact her via her blog at hadriansgate.wordpress.com, or find her on Twitter @Hadrians_Gate
Georgia Knight does not write your average Star Trek type Sci Fi. She writes Sci Fi for grown ups, adults, definitely not children. The Hadrians Gate series is a brilliant example of such writing, with a continuing storyline throughout the series that grilps the reader from start to finish. You need to read the books in order to stay on track with what is happening throughout. All of the books in the series are outstanding. If you're an adult Sci Fi fan these should be top of your to read list!
