Keeping his distance will be even harder.

He’s her best chance of survival, and the biggest threat to her heart.

A brazen attack turns her mission of mercy into a fight for survival. Now Tyra's life depends on an unexpected ally – Dante, the most dangerous man she’s ever met – and he’s hotter than a supernova.

As secrets are uncovered and trust is betrayed, Dante fights to protect his woman from the dangers of his world. But Tyra’s world has threats of its own, and to claim her place at Dante’s side, she’ll have to face them all…

There hasn't been a book Susan Hayes has written that I haven't liked. She really feeds my love of Sci-Fi with a very cool story and awesome characters. Nova Force series second book Operation Cobalt gives you a good read, hot male, hotter women then add a bit of sassy and brassy oh and let's not forget the danger wrap it up and call it done.

A male out to "redeem" his qualities to help overlook his past actions, a female out to give a helping hand, now we all know when Corporate is involved things have a habit of going just a bit sideways. There's a new drug out and it's all bad and every addict's dream. Dante and Tyra they really are on the same side, it seems someone is trying to throw up roadblocks in front of the two "partners" who are trying to get to the heart of the problem also dealing with their own zinging chemistry for each other.

Susan did it again. Wonderfully written story. Enjoy

Already there

Just when I think I have started at the beginning of a series I realized that I missed a book. But that’s okay, other than a few references I didn’t feel lost at all! And I absolutely love the characters and can’t wait to read more about them. The author kept the intensity and action high throughout the story making the book an exciting adventure I didn’t want to put down. And she ended it with the best HEA. This book was a wonderful weekend read and I can’t wait to to pick up the next chapter.

Sergeant Dante Strak is unapologetically male. He is a protector and good at it. He is sent to Bellex 3 to retrieve a sample of the designer drug Cobalt and to investigate what has happened to the Boundless medical crew that has mysteriously disappeared while investigating Cobalt overdoses on Bellex 3. His investigation leads him to Dr. Tyra Li and more than he was ready for. I really enjoyed this story. Tyra may be diminutive but she has a huge heart and takes no crap. This story poses a scary proposition for the future and it is good to know there will always be champions out there. This is the second in the series but can be read stand alone.

Operation Cobalt is the second book in the Nova Force series. Tyra is on a corporate owned planet, trying to help those in need, and trying to find out more information about a new drug, Cobalt, when her and her fellow doctors are attacked. Dante has been tasked with going undercover to find the medical team, keep any survivors safe, and find out more about Cobalt. Tyra doesn’t make it easy for Dante, but they’re realizing they make an amazing team. But just as their relationship gets going, the corporation has other plans, and soon they need to fight. Can Tyra and Dante find their future and keep each other safe?

Oh my goodness, I’ve been waiting for this book and loved every second I spent reading it! This was action packed, full of more secrets, and I absolutely loved Tyra and Dante together! Tyra was humble, full of spirit, passionate, and caring. Dante was protective, caring, cool and collected, but would give his all to save those he loves. They both had a strong sense of duty, a drive that let them help and protect those in need, and I think this helped make them such a strong team and passionate couple. While the romance stands alone, the drama builds from the previous book in the series, and man, that drama was awesome! It was so interesting to see what a corporate owned planet was like and how it was run and what the employees and assets were like. I just love the imagination of Ms. Hayes and the world that she’s creating in the Drift! If you love sci-fi romances, definitely give this book, series, and world a chance!

Dante and Tyra

Tyra is a doctor with Boundless, a non-profit organization that offers medical care to those in need.
Dante is a sergeant with Nova Force, an elite arm of the IAF military.
When Dante is sent undercover to the Bellex corporate planet, it’s so he can find the doctors who reported strange cases of drug overdoses.
Tyra was one of those doctors, her team attacked, she is left to fend for herself.
When Dante rescues her, they realize the plot is much thicker than they suspected.

This novel is the ninth book in the world of The Drift, and the second in the Nova Force series.
It is part of a continuity, which means it’s best read in order... ideally not just the Nova Force series order, but the whole Drift universe order.
The series as a whole, is futuristic sci-fi in nature. While the Drift series features cyborgs and triads, the Nova Force series is more traditional in its setup, with human or half-human main characters.

That being said, it’s a good one. In a universe where corporate entities not only rule, but have most of the power, small groups of people come together to fight against them.
This makes for all sorts of corrupt dealings, underhanded manoevers, and misbehaviours, which in turn, leads to rather entertaining novels.
While it’s technically sci-fi romance, you might be forgiven if you enjoy reading it for the suspense and sci-fi themes, rather than the romantic ones!

Recommended for those who enjoy sci-fi romance, heavy on the sci-fi and suspense 😉

Second book in the Nova Series, it was a wonderful read
Tyra resides on a planet that’s being managed by the corporation and they are aware that there is a new drug being used it was called Cobalt and they are involved in trying to investigate the drug and find out exactly how it effected those that were using it, all this had to be carried out in secret and they are also are aware that there are those who would do them harm if they were threatened.
Dante and Tyra interactions were wonderful to read and they had a complex relationship and they were caring and they were full of spirit and compassion. Whilst this was a romance it was also a very obvious that the characters were both very strong and that once they were set on a task they would never stop unless they were incapacitated or even dead.
This was a dramatic read and it was very interesting to appreciate how very different it was to be on a corporate owned planet, the wealth that was at their fingertips, I love the way in which this author is able to actually reach out to her readers imagination she entices it and then when she delivers……
Well its simply impossible to put the book down until I reached the end. I cannot wait to read the next book in this wonderful series I will wait with a great deal of anticipation and expectation.
I voluntarily received and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

An exciting book!
I love the Nova Force crew! They can be funny, irreverent, they love each other like family, yet they perform their duties like a well-oiled machine. Their mission is to investigate what is happening on Bellex 3. Greed may be the reason for the appearance of devastating designer drugs on the planets the big corporations own.
Dante is well-versed in physical combat and has a protective streak as wide as he is tall. When he first sees Tyra fleeing for her life, he takes care of the problem. Three of them. It doesn’t take long before the attraction between Dante and Tyra begins.
Tyra has devoted her life as a doctor to helping people who typically don’t have adequate care. I love her dedication to her mission, even though her selfless behavior could bring danger in her direction.
Nico, a street urchin, is definitely one of the special people in this book - I admire his resourcefulness, and ability to keep people safe. I think you’ll love him as much as I do! Danger surrounds our people throughout this book; it’s intense reading, but there is still enough time to fall in love. Don’t miss it!

I must admit I like the men and women of Nova Force and how dogged they are about seeing an investigation through. They leave no stone unturned. They're also really good at ferreting out the secrets people and corporations try to hide.

Which isn't to say they're great at everything. Relationships, for example. Dante makes some pretty big mistakes with Tyra and it takes a catastrophic event to bring home that he wants her in his life. No matter the difficulties. No matter how much he might try to compartmentalize. He needs her there.

On Tyra's end, she's strong and resilient, but falling in love was absolutely not on her list of things to do in the near future. She's dedicated to her job and to helping others and she routinely puts her own wants and needs last. She also has some pretty mad skills when it comes to patching people up and she's a good fit with the Nova Force team.

A little danger, a little romance, a whole lot of secrets that come spilling out the deeper the team investigates. I like Nova Force and I'm here to watch the rest of these chuckleheads fall.

The Nova Force crew is a force to be reckoned with. They are still investigating ruthless corporations and saving as many people as possible in the process. Dante is the consummate warrior and is pretty bad to the bone. Tyra is a caring, compassionate and determined doctor. This is a perfect example of action-packed romance in a constant dangerous situation. The crew is like a family that kids around with each other joking, picking and teasing until it's time to work, then it's all business. They all have their own problems and faults, but that's just how family is. I loved Nico, too. Magi is the joker and I can't wait for his story. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.

I read the first Nova Force book and quite enjoyed it. I am not sure why I liked this book even better but I did.
Perhaps because the characters were now familiar and some of the Drift family showed up as well.
I was so caught up in the plot that I forgot to sleep. (Remember that when you pick up the book to read a chapter or two before you go to sleep)
I loved Tyra. She was definitely not a follower and gave Dante some bad moments. Dante was amazing. I loved that he was a big scary soldier with a marshmallow heart.
Don't even get me started on Nico!
I am so looking forward to the next book in the series and would recommend this series to anyone who enjoyed action, adventure, wonderful characters and a happily ever after.

Nova Force goes up against the “Big Baddies” again...

This team of misfit soldiers have to pull together to combat evil in the galaxy, and while the storyline is mostly about Tyra and Dante it’s also about how this group has formed a family. While the action is pretty rapid fire the mysterious drug our group is trying to find is elusive, adding suspense to our tale. Tyra and Dante are attracted to each other right away but not the overwhelming fated mate kind, more of a mutual respect and admiration, which to me is more tantalizing. And when they come together it’s explosive. Don’t miss this sci-fi thrill ride.

What a great story. It is packed full of danger, action, passion, strong characters, great dialog and a swift-moving plot. I loved the characters in this story. Dante, overprotective and single minded, always mission first until he almost lets Tyra think he is no longer interested. Nico, so loyal to the ones he cares about, his hero worship of Dante and love of burgers and ice cream. Tyra always helping people no matter the danger to herself. An excellent read packed with excitement, suspense and romance. Ms. Hayes did a remarkable job bringing this read to life flawlessly.

Ms. Hayes stories are excellent

I started with the Haven series. And I guess I'm backtracking with the Nova Force series. But it doesn't matter. I really enjoy Ms. Hayes' writing. She is even talking about another series set in this world. I am all here for that. This world is both exciting and interesting. I enjoy the many aspects that you can escape to. The world is multi dimensional and well thought out. The characters are likable. I actually care what happens to them. I'm happy there is a lot of stories in this series.

I like this series more with each successive book. I like the fact that there wasn’t a lot of relationship angst going on in the story. Both of them knew how they felt about each other and didn’t deny it. There was just a bit from when Dante was trying to focus on the mission, but not because he was in denial.

The storyline continues from the previous book, but could be read by itself. Always best to read them in order though.

FRAXXXX! I loved this book. It packs a serious punch and leaves one heck of a book hangover. I do not recommend starting this book before going to bed. It is hot and steamy with danger and mystery added. Rules will be broken, lives lost with others saved, and an even greater mystery left me speechless.
I loved Dante's and Tyra's journey to their HEA.

Dante and Tyra and Nico!!

Let me start with Nico. I love that kid. I hope we see him again. Dante is a big, awesome marshmallow. Tyra is a Dr. On a humanitarian mission. She and her team met with harsh resistance. Nick saves Tyra. Nova Force arrives to assist. Dante finds Tyra and helps her. After a rescue Dante and Tyra begin a sweet relationship. The adventure and investigation is great. Loved it.

Loving the characters as well as the plot so far..... this novel contains slight humour which is a bonus! Tense and dangerous situations that get your heart racing.. even some steamy scenes to make your heart flutter.. But i feel that something is missing that should pull it all together?! not sure what that is. I hope we here more about Nico in the rest of the novels in the series as well as the other characters.

A copy of this book was given to me for an honest review.
Although I am a die hard fan of The Drift and the Guardians series, the author seems to catch your attention and keep it once she had it. This is the second book in the Nova Force series and both the man and female characters were suited for each other. Looking forward to the next installment.

Nova Force!

This was an amazing book! The main characters are easy to relate to, and I love that they are older than so many from other books. There is a great cast of characters, and some cameos from other books. There is action and danger and spying and a wondrous romance and a soul satisfying HEA. Don’t miss this one!

Gave me Star Wars Vibes

Nova Force are the police of this section of the galaxy. They have uncovered a secret cartel that is bigger than they could have imagined. This cartel, in conjunction with the big corporations, is doing illegal black market practices on humans, and Nova Force is digging deep to find out who these people are.

Another solid book in this series. Dante was a wonderful man and Tyra is a great choice for him...not so soft she can't stand up to him and not so hard they can't comfort each other. The underlying story dealing with the Grey Men is fascinating and I can't wait to see what happens next.
