This book provides a lot of information on digital library concepts. As an introduction it may be a good resource but I found the information to be somewhat poorly organized. The volume of material felt overwhelming. The information provided is slightly dated even two years after publication. I would have to say that there are better titles available for providing a structured overview, and better titles for detailed specifics.
I was impressed with the variety of sources. The topics range widely from historical perspectives of library and technology to detailed analysis of specific aspects affecting libraries today. Highly relevant to anyone who works on electronic library collections and services.
