Advent is a season that can be easy to love. Yet stress doesn’t take a break during Advent. The season can bring its own bustle and busyness. The days leading up to Christmas come with extra opportunities, extra events, and extra purchases. All these extras might leave us longing for a reminder of the peace made possible by a Baby Boy born in a manger long ago. In this small book, we invite you to take a few minutes each day to ready your mind, your heart, and your home for the One who brings us salvation. Our God delights in spending time with us. We pray the brief devotions we offer in this book give you space to experience His invitation to make ready for Him and with Him.

I appreciated everything about this delightful Advent devotional! The daily scripture verses and thoughtful reflections were just the right length to begin each busy December morning. The coloring pages were exquisitely drawn, just right for a relaxing and rather peaceful end to my days. I loved the writing prompts and daily photo challenge suggestions as well. Something for everyone, and easily adaptable for personal or interactive use! Thanks, Sarah and Heidi for helping me Make Ready to welcome my dear Savior throughout the season of Advent!!

I really enjoyed this book with daily readings focused on different aspects of our preparations for Christmas. These are light devotions, and the questions at the end of each would be good for family discussion.

Every advent my family loves our dinner routine of lighting our advent wreath and reading devotions. Our favorite ones have questions, and this devotional had great questions at the end of each day. I think this would be a great book for personal use too, use it as a journal. There are beautiful coloring pages as well. We all enjoyed the repeating closing prayer and by Christmas, we would all pray it out loud together. The only thing I'm sad about is that I saw the photo challenge just as we finished! I think I'll bring that out at the beginning of Advent 2021.

It took me a minute...

This one felt different than the first two. It was not as deep as I had hoped, until it was. Taking the time to ponder, consider the questions posed as they related to the given scripture... just what I needed this holiday season.
