As one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, I can catch anything...anyone. Except her—the coach’s daughter.
Savannah Goodman is the one woman in the world I’m forbidden to touch, and the only one I can’t stop thinking about. She’s fiery, funny, and sexy as sin. We can’t be in the same room without fighting, but her quick wit only brings me back for more.
Then she comes to me with an offer straight out of a fantasy— She wants me to take her V-card before she graduates college. No strings attached. No hearts involved. No one finds out—especially Coach.
My contract is at risk and so is her job, But we can’t deny the explosive, addictive chemistry between us. Once isn’t enough—it’s never enough, and the more time we spend together only increases our chance of getting caught.
But we can’t draw the line when we’ve already crossed it, And now it’s not just my spot on the Raptors I’m fighting for—it’s her.

It was a normal sports romance. Nothing special. Maybe the timing for me was off but I didn't find the special element in the story which apparantly everyone else did.
The main storyline was good but I've already read few books with the same content...so umm...that's it then.
Loving this series, loving the introduction of some new characters who clearly will get their stories; loved the crossover with the Carolina Reapers guys; loved the feisty heroine Savannah, even though she needlessly hurt Hendrix (the whole plot of her Dad controlling her dating life was just...ridiculous). Oh yeah, most importantly I loved sexy Hendrix.😬
Look, if you really want to enjoy this book you have to accept a bit of the ridiculous here and just go with it. Savannah’s dad is the coach of the Raptors football team. One of his team RULES is that the players cannot date his daughter. Okay, I get it, he wants to protect her and not see her get hurt. But to go to the lengths he did to keep her apart from the man she grew to love...was really cruel. What coach has that much power? And the owner or GM couldn’t talk him out of it? No one could stop him? Thank god Savannah eventually found her backbone and what she ended up doing had me cheering! Take that, dad!😄 4 1/2 stars
Holy moley, that line did me in. Hendrix is the top wide receiver for the Raleigh Raptors. Savannah is the head coach’s daughter who has been deemed “untouchable” by her father. But their attraction is undeniable. It can’t be ignored.
I was given an ARC by Samantha Whiskey for my honest review.
Every time I think I have a favourite, Samantha Whiskey writes a new character I love. Hendrix is amazing. Savannah is strong, independent and knows what she wants. The best part? A brief crossover with our beloved Reapers, their ladies and Scythe. And the very best part? You can tell how she sets up characters for their own books. I can tell there is already at least two more coming and I can’t wait.
Any book she writes is a quick read for me because I can never put it down. I will literally be reading as I brush my teeth and blow dry my hair. I can’t wait for the next one.
I don't even know where to start with this. I loved it so much. Savannah, I mean, homegirl was a boss. Watching Hendrix him fall for and basically get his butt handed to by his Butterfly was so entertaining. I devoured this book in one day, which is pretty much the case anytime a Samantha Whiskey book hits my kindle!
The chemistry between Hendrix and Savannah is off the charts. She is the forbidden fruit he should stay away from, but that pull they have between each other can’t be stopped. I really loved this book!
This one was just ok for me. Part of it was knowing how much of a man-whore Hendrix was, heck he even told Savannah that he had no clue how many women he slept with, not sure why she was pursuing him so much. Another part was that Savannah irritated me, not sure why. I'm glad things worked out for them in the end, but mostly I was glad to be done reading the book.
I do have to say because I've seen the comments that Hendrix wasn't worth Savanah's time because he slept with too many people and was a manwhore.. I'm okay being that person who points out that if people said those things about a woman who has a high body count then there would be outrage. I don't think man's or woman's worth should be judged because of how many people they've slept with.
“I was going to hell, but damn, I was going to enjoy getting there.” - Hendrix
Hendrix & Savannah are the perfect fire for one another. These two characters have played the cat an mouse game through all the previous books and it was great to finally get to see the true passion they have for one another! Savannah was such a great character to read in that she knew what she really wanted and wasn’t afraid to go after it and women should be able to use that power without being told different. Hendrix was just sitting back waiting for the right girl to come along yet little did he know she had always been there in front of him and he was just unable to really see her because of a rule he couldn’t cross.
“He was as bright as a shooting star and just as hot, moving at breakneck speeds across the universe. Untouchable. Indestructible. Brilliant.” - Savannah
Hendrix: A Raleigh Raptor Novel is one I will definitely recommend! I’ve loved all 3 books in the series and if you read one you will definitely be sucked into reading them all.
Hendrix know that if he touches Savannah Goodman he is at high risk of being traded as the coach has one rule stay away from his daughter, only her offer is to tempting to say no. One time only but will they both be able to walk away . Another amazing read for Samantha Whiskey.
Unfortunately, I found this book to be really disappointing. I love Samantha Whiskey (as you can tell if you look at my posts) but I think this was my least favorite book of hers yet. I'll start with the positives before I dive into the negatives though. I do love this series and the general people involved and the characters were relatively well developed. I think my major issues was that the author relied far too much on the previous books for establishing the characters so there was no character establishment in the book at all. I just felt no real connection to them at all. Usually, Samantha Whiskey does a great job setting it all up but I just felt slightly too thrown into the plot. Usually there's a little buildup but there was almost none in this case. Overall, it was decent but just not up to how good I know that her books can be so I give it 3 stars. - Hannah
Ugh. I've been dying for Hendrix's story. I loved every minute of it. I loved Savannah too. They were both the cutest, sweetest, hottest together. And that epilogue. ❤️
Hendrix by Samantha Whisky is a football sports romance that follows the story of Hendrix and Savannah. This is the third book in the Raleigh Raptors series, which is a spin-off to the Carolina Reapers series.
Hendrix is a playboy and nicknames Hollywood with his good looks. Savannah Goodman is the coach's daughter, aka the woman who’s completely off limits to any of the players. But the banter between Hendrix and Savannah has been building and when these two strong and independent people come together, their love is off the charts.
This story ticks the sports romance box, but adds in forbidden romance and enemies to lovers.
Side note: as there is some story crossover, you can read more about Hendrix and Savannah in Sterlings book from the Raleigh Raptors series.
This forbidden romance will wrap its way around your heart and score a touchdown within minutes of starting into Hendrix and Savannah’s arrangement. This is a story that will have you on the edge of your seat feeling like the time is ticking away ready for the end of their game. As rules are broken and risks are taken, hearts become involved, the passion heats up and decisions will be taken out of their hands. Hendrix will steal your heart and Savannah will have you cheering her on as these two make sacrifices that might just break every rule they made. A heartfelt, steamy romance that is fun, flirty and drama filled.
So I’m not gonna lie...and I’ll probably get a lot of flack for this but.....I’m sorry I didn’t really like Savannah.... there I said it!!.... and having said that here is my reason...I got the impression that she was a bit of a little madam....she was selfish, manipulative and I didn’t agree with the way she handled things... I really liked Hendrix but also felt he needed to man up a bit.. For me there was less of a connection between Hendrix and Savannah... unlike Ms Whiskey’s other characters. I just wasn’t feeling it with them, as if all they had was insanely hot chemistry...and don’t get me wrong, I love the heat and passion in a story but I also want to get a feel for the couples connection and their personalities which is usually what this author writes best of all. Having said all that the writing was as consistent as ever and I am not going to mark the book down just because I didn’t really like one of the characters. It was great to be back with some old favourites briefly and to get a glimpse at the potential new couples standing on the sidelines just begging for their stories to be told.....
Hendrix and Savannah set my kindle on fire! I’ve been waiting on their story and it did not disappoint me. I loved how they underestimated their feelings for each other but I loved that they recognised that they were good together. I was kinda annoyed with Savannah’s dad but I understood his concerns. Simple communication could have avoided all the confusion but I think everything worked out like it was supposed to! I really loved this book and I can’t wait to read the other stories. I received an ARC of this book.
A winning read from start to finish! Love this newest addition to an addicting series! Hendrix’s character was hot, swoon worthy and didn’t stand a chance once Savannah chooses him. Their chemistry was off the hook, but their emotions was so enduring. Bonus was the appearance of characters from the authors hockey series. This is a definite must read for fans of sports genre with a well written storyline and wonderful characters.
Adorable, brilliant and steamy too , a sports romance that just makes you sigh with the romantic chemistry and passion. Hendrix and Savannah are So good together they just about melt the pages with their enthusiastic passion and hot clinches. But after all the players are warned to stay away from coach’s daughter, do they have a future or are they fooling themselves.
Dcera trenéra a hráč.
Když to praskne přijde hodně nedorozumění a zlomených srdcí.

Samantha Whiskey has done it again!!! Such a good story, I absolutely loved Hendrix and Savannah! The angst, the passion, the romance... I couldn’t put the book down!
Was ok. I’ve read the other books in this series and seemed rushed and not as involved as the first two. Not sure if because we’d met characters in the previous books so gave some background on them, but it seemed like it was lacking a bit and that their relationship wasn’t as developed. Kind of bummed because I’d really liked Hendrix and savanna in the other books and you could tell their chemistry would be phenomenal when their story came
Sigh... i loved the Reapers series. Each book was amazing with all the characters fully developed and such unique, heartfelt and sometimes angsty stories. But this Raptors series has fallen flat. Each book feels so forced, uninspired, and as if Samantha Whiskey is just churning books out to get them out.
It feels like I’ve been waiting for this book for FOREVER. I’m obsessed with this series. I honestly think I might love the Raleigh Raptors more than the Carolina Reapers. Okay so…I’m reeeeally hoping I’m not looking into anything too deeply or expecting too much, but our author name dropped a new sports team, the Hurricanes (baseball) in this book and now I’m OBSESSING over the possibility of another series in this same universe. Can you imagine?? UGH IT WOULD BE AMAZING!! Alright back on track. This was, hands down, my favorite book so far in this series. Hendrix and Savannah are explosive. They are the perfect couple. Savannah is the daughter of Hendix’s coach. She’s off limits but he’s been obsessed with her for years now. She’s his ultimate fantasy. On that same note, Savannah dreams about Hendrix all the time. She decides that he will be the one to take her virginity, she just has to convince him to say yes. The only problem is…if they get caught, he will be traded. There is a strict “hands off Savannah” policy in place. Although there’s insane risk, Hendix can’t say no. He dives headfirst into this one time deal they’ve made. Quickly, “one time” turns into “one night” which turns into “one week” which turns into “one season”. They can’t stop. They fall deeply and madly in love. I was CRYING. Their connection was leagues above others. It’s not something you find every day. It was special and unique.
Then, of course, it all comes crashing down. The wreckage is worse than I imagined and it left my heart raw and vulnerable. But just as quickly as it takes for them to realize they love each other, they lose it all even faster. What lies in the storms wake is the possibility of a new beginning that could be even better than anything they imagined. Take it from me, guys – you really want to read this book. Heck! You NEED to read this whole series!! If you could only understand how devoted I am to these characters…I can’t imagine having to wait months for another book. I’m already dying for more. I might go back and re-read the Carolina Reapers series now that the stories overlap a bit. Could be fun! Give this book a shot! 5 stars!
“I choose you. Your place. Your heart. All of it.”
Savannah Goodman has been the object of his every desire for the last few years, but he could never tell her that. She was marked forbidden a long time ago by her father, and his coach, and going after her would definitely lead to a job change for him. But then she surprises him one night at a charity event and asks something of him that he isn't so sure he can give her. Or can he?
She wants him in the worst way and now he must decide if she is worth the risk...
Hendrix is steamy forbidden romance story with perfectly penned words that will squeeze your heart and command your undivided attention. These two were doomed the moment they said "one time," because there is no way one time would ever be enough for the kind of passion and chemistry they have. The moment he met Savannah, Hendrix was taken with her, but in the back of his mind there was that little voice reminding him she was off limits, and he listened to that voice as long as he could. But then she made him an offer he couldn't bring himself to turn down, full well knowing what it could potentially cost them. He knew he was playing a dangerous game with his job on the line, but the more time he spent with her the less that mattered. He found something else more important, her love, and that was worth holding onto, no matter the cost. This story was everything I have been needing, something to get me out of my reading rut, and leave me refreshed and inspired. If there is one thing I can count on with a story from this author it is that I will always be left with a happy heart. Her stories are always unique, and come brimming with the perfect amounts of steam, emotion, romance, and angst. Just when I think I have a new favorite in the series, another one comes along and steals the top spot... Hendrix was absolutely perfect from the first page until the last! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
Hendrix is the 3rd installment in the Raleigh Raptors series. Hendrix’s story centers around his very inappropriate attraction to his coach’s daughter, Samantha. These two have been sniffing around each other for years when she was still in high school and he was a new rookie. Things take a more serious turn during the last semester of her senior year. What begins as a physical attraction between both and Savannah’s desire to have control over who takes her virginity, quickly morphs into something very real on both sides. Neither thinks that the other would ever be interested in taking things further and ignoring the rules they set. Eventually they are found out and serious consequences occur along with even more serious miscommunications. They do find their HEA but it is a rough road for both to find it.
I seriously struggled getting into this story and even at Chapter 10 I wondered if I was going to like it. My main problem was with Samantha. While I applaud her desire to take control of her own body and her destiny, I just had a VERY hard time connecting with her, with all of her game playing when she knew exactly what she wanted and just her general snarkiness. In previous books and in small doses, I had liked her but it took a VERY long time for me to like her in this book. Eventually I did once she showed a softer side. To me, that seemed to suit her better. I ended up loving these two together but the miscommunications between them brought devastating and serious consequences. I was proud of them for making new lives for themselves. So after a VERY slow start for me, the story showed much heart and heat and I ended up loving it!
I loved seeing the Reapers and meeting new players for future books. (Seriously looking forward to Weston’s Raptor story and Sterling’s Reaper story - hint, hint!)
Wow! I really love all the Raleigh Raptors Series! This one had kind of an almost enemies to lovers feel going on. They have argued some of the other book. I absolutely love both characters.
Hendrix and Savannah have known each other the last five years. The problem is Savannah is off limits to any of her father (Coach Goodman) daughter! The gala is where Savannah makes it known how much she is wanting Hendrix but they must keep it between the two of them. It's only for one night but something happens between Hendrix and Savannah that has both of them coming back for more. They have to keep everything a secret because Coach Goodman number one rule is none of his players can date his daughter or they will be traded. Hendrix and Savannah fall for each other so hard it's impossible they can keep this quiet for long. I was so happy to read about Savannah, I fell in love with her while I was reading some of the other books in this series and Carolina Reapers series. Hendrix I didn't love until I starting reading his story. This couple was just so prefect together. I felt the chemistry between the two characters. I only wish we didn't have to see Hendrix get traded and wish he could have been in on the conversation between Coach and Savannah. I was so happy Savannah made the decision to move to Charleston not only will she be with Hendrix but she now has her best friend too.
We finally get an epilogue that happens three years down the road!! I was glad Nixon and Roman and their families are all staying close with Hendrix and Savannah. I would have been nice to see Hendrix go back to the Raptors but they are happy were they're at. I was exciting to see Savannah has a little surprise for Hendrix. Hopefully well get to see what they have in the near future!!
I would love to read Weston or a Coach Goodman Book!!
If there anything this amazing woman CAN'T write?! I really don't think so -- all of her books are beyond fabulous and makes me want more words as soon as I finish her latest releases!
In this addition to the Raleigh Raptors, we have Hendrix, aka Hollywood who falls in love with the most forbidden woman: the coaches daughter, Savannah. All of the football players were told that in no uncertain terms would they immediately be traded if anyone dared to touch his daughter, and with so much riding on Hendrix's plate, is the risk worth the reward? Or will Savannah's love be the ultimate prize?
Savannah is tired of men using her only because of her last name and connections, and want to finally lose her virginity to someone she trusts, and only one person comes to mind. They've been friends since she was 17, and even if they might not have been the closest, she always felt safe and cherished with him. What starts as just one night soon turns into a wild, passionate, all consuming love that neither of them can walk away from. But will Savannah have to break both of their hearts in order to save the career of the man she loves?
Oh my word this book had me all in my feelings!! As per usual with a SW romance, I immediately set aside everything else so I could immerse myself into this world, and I just loved these two so much. Their chemistry was absolutely out of this world, and the way they loved one another made me swoon so hard. And that ending? Absolutely PERFECT!
There's also two couples that Samantha teases us with during this book and I can't wait to find out who she'll be writing about next!!! I'm so obsessed with this amazing woman's words!!
