Loved this book. Well written, enjoyable read. Billionaire Blake takes on shy, timid Grace to give private instructions she *won* on marketing herself and ideas. This Dom brings out the Sub in Grace in such a loving way and teaches her to be her own woman. Steamy and hot and delicious.

Grace has saved her pennies to attend a seminar on starting a business and wins private tutoring by Blake. Grace wants to save and re-home displaced animals but lacks self esteem - in fact she is the proverbial little mouse who prefers to be waaay at the back of a room. Over a period of a couple of days Blake tutors her - in more ways than just starting her business. He decides to use his dominant side to show her she has the strength to be assertive. His methods are beautiful, gentle yet firm and Grace flourishes under his tutelage. But can they walk away fro each other?
Deja Blue writes a beautiful, tender, heartrending story and I love how she manages to weave the reader into the story with the raw emotion. Thoroughly enjoying this series.

I liked the main characters (Blake and Grace) and Pippa (a quirky sidekick to the hero)! There was enough character development to hold my interest. The flow was nice for this book. I related to the hero, wanting to figure the heroine out and liked him (trusted him) due to his healthy relationship with Pippa . Blake continually puts Grace first and I started to root for him then and there.I was intrigued and felt that the characters were relatable as the story unfolded. I liked Pippa’s over the top character. A good foil for the more subdued heroine and the dominant, in-control hero. A great second in the series!

It’s interesting what brings the two main characters together- an event from the past for three individuals, with nothing else in common. There’s a lot of soul searching and a significant character change for the two main characters, all due to paying it forward.

Grace: Insecure wallflower, well, at least in the beginning.
She has dreams of rescuing animals, she just lacks the know-how. That’s why she’s going on a course.

Blake: Billionaire. By his own hard work and determination. Dom. What else does he need in his life?

After meeting at a seminar run by Blake, Grace finds that he can give her just what she needs. Confidence. This is not just a personal development trait that will get her her animal foundation but also allows her confidence in the bedroom.

The two characters can, as always, be related to, as they are just people like you and me, dealing with everyday circumstances.

I rooted for Grace as she came into her own self-confidence and for Blake who found what was missing in his life and had the strength to realise the same.

Strong characters, beautiful sentiments, and descriptions of the places you want to visit.

I recommend this novel and its predecessor.

I felt genuine compassion for the female lead in this story. I have, unfortunately, met several woman in real life who have the serious self-confidence and self-esteem issues that this character did and it was lovely to see her grow past them.

The male lead was, not unexpectedly, a bit of a jerk but he developed over time. I enjoyed their interactions and his assistant was an awesome secondary character.

This story was dual POV, well written and edited, and so much better than the previous one in the series!

This is the second book in the series and each is a standalone. This was such a cute story between Blake and Grace. Gosh, I want my own Blake! They each learned more about themselves with a small dash of Bdsm thrown in. It was perfect as it didn’t overpower the story. I highly recommend this series. My only wish is that it would have been longer. It’s a quick read that can easily be read in an evening.

This is the second book in this series, I missed the first but as they are stand-alone stories I decided to read this one. Blake and Grace are the main characters but Pippa Blake's side-kick also features and is an interesting addition to the story. The characters are all well developed, the plotline flowed well and held my interest. I liked Pippa’s totally over the top character so different from the more subdued Grace and Blake's dominant, in-control nature.

If you're a fan of sexy men who know what they want but who don't lose their compassion, I recommend you download this book.

This was a great story. Blake and Gracie were fantastic characters and had a connection right at the beginning of the story. Not only did Blake instruct Gracie on marketing and selling her idea but he also noticed that she was a sub and decided to help her. Bake is a Dom and Gracie always responded to him when he used his Dom voice. I loved their interaction and the fact that it took Blake 3 months to figure out what to do with his life and Gracie.

Alana Khan did an artful job of creating an enticing, interesting and memorable dom- sub in training short story!

Blake and Grace are both damaged from their childhoods. Like I always say, you spend your entire adulthood trying to get over your childhood! Lol This book is proof positive of that.

If you are in the mood for a short story that is fun with only a little drama, this book is for you!

There were a few things that didn't seem quite right, but this book was overall really good. If you love romance and light D/s in your books, you'll almost certainly love this book. 4.5 stars-definitely recommend.

I really love this series of novelettes, and I think this is my favorite so far. Engaging characters that you quickly come to love and root for. I little D/s action, but with depth and romance. I've enjoyed this story and will be waiting for the new ones to come out!

Blake and Grace have some heat!

Grace started out as a woman with very low self-esteem, she is a product of her past.

Blake doesn't even notice her until his assistant points her out, and after lunch with her realizes she needs his help in more ways the one.

The offer, Let me be your Dom, and you will have all the confidence you need to succeed in this business. (Don't hate him he redeems himself later).

They start off as he promise but feelings get in the way, not just hers, but his also, though he refuse to acknowledge it.

As promise she gets all the confidence she needs, along with a broken heart.

This story had me cheering for Grace as through her butterfly transformation, she becomes a strong capable woman.

Blake, I eventually fell in love with, even though he didn't want to let go of his player status he transformed as well. Ah love!

Yes, I would recommend this book.
