Everything Dies #3

Everything Dies: Season Three

Rate this book
‘HE IS THE FATHER, WE ARE THE CHILDREN.’

The survivors of the Lazarus Project research facility fire managed to find a new haven deep in the Canadian Arctic, shielded from the dead by the harsh winter.

Almost completely cut off from the outside world, already fractious relationships become ever more volatile as the group desperately searches for food and resources.

Doctor Foster continues her work to find a cure for the Necro Virus in order to save her most important patient, while the others squabble over whether or not the science that caused the outbreak should be crushed into the ground.

Unknown to all of them, a sinister presence they have yet to encounter stalks the barren plains of the tundra, watching and waiting for the right time to strike.

This is the third and penultimate instalment of the Everything Dies series and contains 8 episodes.

I’m 40 years old and live in Staffordshire in the UK. I’m as much in love with the world of film as I am with literature. My tastes are varied, but the horror genre feeds my imagination the most.

I regularly attend Film 4’s Frightfest film festival in London, and have met some of my heros and heroines there. I’m hoping one day to meet my all time favourite author, Clive Barker...we’ll see.

Until then, I’m working hard on my horror/fantasy trilogy, the Fallen Gods Saga. Book 1, Sanctuary 12, and Book 2, Fallen Gods: Infanticide, are available now. The final instalment, Fallen Gods: Mind over Matterless is my current project and should be ready early 2015.

I have several more projects lined up, including Fallen Gods Origins and a possible comic book! I hope you will find something you like within my work. If you like your romance dark and bloody, why not try my novella, The Last Cut is Always the Deepest.

One of the biggest tragedies in modern fiction is the lack of strong female characters. I don’t subscribe to this idea that a strong female in fantasy has to jump around doing martial arts in a tight costume. My female characters distinguish themselves by having a strong moral core, and being able to think under pressure without giving in to fear-induced aggression. I hope my characters offer something a little different for both female and male readers.

You may find my love for monsters quite apparent in my books. That’s because I adore them. We are all monsters in the end, aren’t we? Some beautiful, some not so much.

I would be very interested to speak to you, even if it’s just to talk about horror in general. Feel free to follow me on Twitter or drop a comment on my website. Take care until then, fellow monsters.

Seriously disappointed I didn't make sure all the books in this series were released before starting it. Book 4 is NOT out! It is going to drive me nut! The 3rd was just as good as the first two. The characters are amazing, the plot thickens, but not in a typical zombie style. I mean, definitely zombies and fighting to stay alive and constantly in trouble, but no crazy side quests that make zero sense or a rush to finish the book with wild ways the zombies could have come to be or behave. Guess I will have to read something else while I wait!

I didn't particularly like being dropped into this book 5 months later on, while in Canada.

But as the book continued, it got better.
The first half of the book was a bit tedious to get through, but the second half was very entertaining and made me want to continue.

I'm not sure if we will ever get "season 4" as many years have passed already.
But I sure hope so.
I would like to continue the adventure with the group of survivors I have come to known and care about.

What?!?! Cliffhanger?!?! AND NO 4TH BOOK?!?!?! I liked the crazy new groups introduced but again, fell flat. Sorely disappointed with the ending. I felt like it was so anticlimactic. I would recommend the series but I think I would stop with book 2 :( I really wanted to love this!

A great third series of the saga.

The story keeps evolving to deal with the fates of the small group surviving in the zombie apocalypse.

Looking forward to season 4 now!
