Billionaire Doms of Blackstone #1

Teach Me: Billionaire Doms of Blackstone

Rate this book
After a harrowing near-death rollover while avoiding a deer on a snowy backroad, Lily searches for shelter in a blizzard. Awakened from a dead sleep, Dylan Grant opens the door of the only house in sight. Will the bedraggled waitress and the handsome billionaire make a connection so deep they find love?

Lily

I’m working three jobs to put myself through school, so it sucks when I get caught in an early October blizzard on my way home through the Colorado mountains. Even worse, my car swerves, then flips in my efforts to avoid a deer. Now on foot with no transportation, I’m afraid of what type of ax murderer will open the door when I finally reach the only house in miles. I take the tall, gorgeous stranger up on his offer of shelter rather than freeze outside in the snow. It’s what happens when the power goes out that surprises us both.

Dylan

I retreat to my mountain cabin to escape the stresses of running my corporations. All I want is peace and quiet, but I can’t turn the shivering woman away when she ends up at my door with no car and no cell service. Her submissive side begs for my dominance, even though she has no idea that’s what she’s been missing all her life. But one night in front of the fire can’t be the basis for a relationship, can it?

Can two people as different as Dylan and Lily overcome their obstacles, fight their fears, and admit their lava-level attraction to each other? If you like hot, alpha males who take charge, and the women who discover this is what they’ve been craving, buy the Billionaire Doms of Blackstone. These standalone, no cheating, insta-love, happily-ever-after novellas will make you feel warm in all the right ways—and in all the right places!

Publisher’s warning: This book is full of consensual spicy sex scenes with a Dominant male and a woman discovering her submissive side. If this will offend you, Teach Me is not the right book for you.

In the spirit of honesty, Deja Blue’s not my real name. I know, you thought it sounded realistic, but I made it up. I’m just a woman who likes to write unapologetically sexy stories to amuse herself and others.

I’m a best-selling author under another pen name, and decided to branch out from my other genre. I have big plans for the little town of Blackstone. In addition to the Billionaire Doms, there will be Billionaire Bikers, Billionaire Cowboys, Billionaire Handsome Men with Glasses (code words for Geeks), and most probably Billionaires who love curves.

I like my men smart, strong, sexy, alpha, and great in bed. If that’s what you’re looking for, sign up for my newsletter and you’ll get cover reveals, new releases, giveaways, and all sorts of sexy stuff that floats through my mind.

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for a review.
Teach Me is a beautifully written story about Lily. Caught in a blizzard in the mountains of Colorado she's involved in a nasty roll-over when she swerves to avoid a deer. Freezing cold she knocks on the door of the only house around for miles and is fronted by a gorgeous hunk of eye candy. Dylan can't turn her away - not during a blizzard so offers her warmth in front of his fire. Then the power goes out. Will this Dom be able to keep his hands off beautiful Lily. Will she submit to his ......?
Deja Blue writes HAWT, air-cooler-searching stories that have me hunting for the remote to my air conditioner. I love the plots and I love the realism in her stories. Definitely looking forward to the next one in this series.

Found, lost, and found again

You never know what you have until it's gone. In this case, what someone thinks is a fulfilled life discovers that it’s not.

Dylan finds that meeting Lily by accident (quite literally) is the relationship he’s missing in his life. He’s a Dom who is sensitive, romantic, and not afraid to admit he’s wrong.

Here is everything you need - a beautifully created story, believable characters, and descriptions of places you’ve never been but want to go to.

A must read.

This book pulled me in from the first page and kept rolling to the end. The characters are easy to relate to. I promise that once you get to the end, you will want to jump into a blizzard to find a Dylan of your own.

This quick read takes place in Colorado. I liked the hero and heroine as they quickly fell in love (adding the right amount of steamy scenes and I loved it)! It was a fast paced story which I enjoyed and a great opener for the new series!

This is the first book of this kind I've ever read. It was a fun, quick read. It doesn't have a long, complex plot. This is a kind of book you can start and finish on the same day.

Love love love this series of standalone stories set in the same world. Just enough light bdsm to be erotic but still romantic. The short quick fun romps are well worth reading I thoroughly enjoyed them all.

- [ ] I love the way this starts: a nightmare drive through a wicked blizzard; just missed hitting a deer; car rolled over and in a ditch and the car won’t start...what a way to capture your attention! And then it gets so sensual. Her eyes are closed, so it’s so easy to picture everything described. I love that nothing is rushed, it’s all so soft and feeling.

Short story of insta-love with light D/S themes. Even though it's a short read, I really liked the characters and how the story sucked me in so quickly. Would recommend.

Lily is forced to search for shelter after an accident in the bad weather stops her from getting home.
Arriving at a random cabin could spell danger but luckily the man who answers the door looks after her.
Dylan discovers Lily's natural submissive side and teaches her lessons in sex.
Without claiming her innocence, he sends her away because of his own doubts.
She may be the perfect sub but he doesn't want to risk anything.
Will they see each other again?

I liked that they grew comfortable with each other and he seemed to soften to her briefly.
I hated when he sent her away as soon as possible but it is understandable because of his past.
It is unfair on her and I was very pleased by the ending which healed every crack caused earlier in the book.

Great start to a new series!

While I wouldn't call this story insta-love, there's definitely an insta-connection and intense attraction shortly into their meeting.

There was at least one thing that felt and out of character. The jalapeno scene seems out of place and forced in there to be different or something. I didn't like it. I possibly could have if it fit, but it didn't.

There's some great writing in this book. The "I'll never ask, and he'll never tell..." statement was one of the sweetest and well written moments I've ever read.

If you love love and enjoy a bit of light D/s romance, you'll love this book. I did.

For the most part I enjoyed this book. The D/s is well written and I really enjoyed the idea of exploring without much sexual activity because Dylan is a virgin. This novella gets pretty warm even before the clothes come off. My only problem is that they never have any conversation about contraception nor use any protection before they finally consummate the relationship. I get that some people don’t like to read about it but it spoiled the whole thing when I read this and felt pulled right out of the story because I can’t believe a proper Dom would ever think about doing that.

While driving in a snow storm after getting off work late one night, Lily is in a roll over accident and forced to walk and find help. She walks to a cabin in the middle of nowhere and a tall, handsome stranger answers the door.
Dylan immediately takes her inside, orders her to strip and gives her a blanket, tells her to take a hot shower and drink a hot drink by the fire.
Lily figures that if he wanted to hurt her, he would have already done it, instead of taking care of her.
Because of his past, Dylan has major trust issues. He doesn't do relationships but, he does do one nighters. Hes a Dom and believes by the way she did exactly as she was told, that innocent looking Lily's a submissive.
When the power goes out, he ask if she wants to "play a game".
Although innocent, she's intrigued. He has a change of heart and Lily feels rejected.
The next morning, Dylan informs her they're snowed in and Lily decides it's time to get her V-card punched.
Oh my is Dylan is ready to teach. Let the games begin!
When the roads are clear, he's made sure he left her innocents intact. His good intention is to never contact her again but, , ,
This is fast-paced, fun and STEAMY! Dylan is definitely a DOM but, he's also sweet, tender and romantic with Lily.
"Chem play" Hmm? I recommend this one!
Steamy. Romantic. Witty. HEA.

This was such a cute story between billionaire Dylan and Lily, who stumbles into his life via a freak snowstorm. My only wish is that it would have been so much longer. Lily literally has three jobs trying to make ends meet while putting herself through college. Im so looking forward to more books within this series. It has a light flavor of BDSM, but doesn’t over power the story at all. It just enhances it!

This is a quick, light read, about Lily and Dylan's meeting and subsequent relationship development. He's older than her and a dom, he rescued her after a car accident and recognises that she could be a perfect submissive. But should he teach her about the pleasure she could experience as a submissive? Pleasures they could share?

This book pulled me in from the first page, the story flowed well and the characters are well-drawn and easy to relate to.

Stranded, Lily wanders into Dylan's cabin. The older man, an experienced and jaded Dom, resists the innocent young woman as long as he can. After a night of teaching her what he expects and what she never knew she desired, he makes a mistake. Can he get her back when she's made such an effort to try to get over him?

First book in this setting by this author, I’ll admit it didn’t grab me the way I’d hoped. The characters were cute and sweet and so were their interactions. It was BDSM lite.

The story is well written and edited, dual POV, and an interesting start to a series.

This is a story about a young woman learning she is a natural submissive. Her Dom isn't sure about teaching her about a submissives' pleasures and how much power they actually have. Very well written and contains an hea at the end.

This was an okay instalove novella. There wasn't much of a story because of the length and the d/s scenes were fairly vanilla. He tells her what to do and she must be submissive because she instantly obeys. The book was an easy quick read, but not much to it.

Lily gets in a car wreck along a mountain in Colorado.
In a blizzard.
And passes out in front of a stranger.
Dylan.
So he helps her stay alive and takes care of her until the storm lets up.
What else would he teach her to pass the time?
Part of a series of stories.
