Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul is the perfect book for anyone between the ages of nine and thirteen. It's a collection of true short stories written by preteen for preteens, making this very relatable and personal. Some stories are inspirational and some are funny and some are emotional; the mix accounts for the many different phases preteens may go through. I bet that there's at least one story here that you'll find relatable.

My personal favorite stories are "The Back of David's Head," "Accepting Change," "The Act of Love," "I'll Never Forget Him," "The Snow Angel," and "How My Parents Ruined My Sixth Grade Life." I know, there are so many! And it was super hard for me to narrow it down. Although I liked these ones the very best, all of the stories were really good and fun to read.

I'll definitely check out some other Chicken Soup books in the future, and I recommend that you do, too.
