Ich finde die Geschichten und Spiele rund um Assassin's Creed total interessant.
Der Manga lässt dich gut lesen und man ist gleich in der Geschichte.
Die Zeichnungen sind klar und detaliert dargestellt.
Für mich ein Muss als AC Fan 😊

A good continuation of the story. Not as action packed as the last book, but the more emotionally deep. With good character development of both Shao Jan and her dependent.
At the end of the last book Shao Jan got part of her revenge and carries out her mission but, there are dire consequences and repercussions. How will these affect her and descendent Mari. How will she see the choices made. Also what do the Templars planning in the future.
A great continuation, not purpose and motivations are exposed as well as new players entering the fray. However from the sound of things things are not going well from the Templars.

Getting to the heart of the matter (with a blade)
With the help of the Animus device, Lisa has been remembering the memories of her ancestor Shao Jun to help her solve her own anger issues. While also showing a variety of times in Shao Jun's life we also see a glimpse into Lisa's life as her dedicated friend Mari joins the cast allowing us to see a glimpse into what makes Lisa who she is even as a fragment of the Assassin Brotherhood discovers her and attempts to save her from not only being a tool for the brotherhoods ancient rival but to save her life too.
This series is very good honestly as the characters show emotions clearly and the momentum of the story hardly drags making for a quick but informative read even if you have not played Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China (as I have not.) A fine example of making a videogame into good manga in my opinion and the next volume will probably start with action if that cliffhanger has anything to do with it. :)

Cette petite série n’est clairement pas un grand chef d’œuvres, mais je trouve qu’elle complète bien le jeu. Elle permet de rendre les personnages plus vivants, et de détailler un peu mieux certains passages de l’intrigue. Le jeu en soit est rapide à finir, mais on ne voit pas tant de choses que ça… Cette série permet donc d’y remédier un peu, en ajoutant également une petite partie sur le présent.
Un passage nous indique que la Doctoresse Kagami était avant situé à la base de Madrid, pour ça n’évoque peut-être rien, mais pour moi, ça a fait un petit « clic ». La base de Madrid faisant sûrement référence à celle présenté dans le film Assassin’s Creed de 2016 (le manga est sortie en 2020). J’imagine que l’incident dont il est question fait référence aux événements du film, un petit clin d’œil à cet autre récit de l’univers Assassin’s creed. Elle n’a dû apparaître, au mieux, que brièvement dans le film, puisqu’elle n’était pas en lien direct avec les protagonistes, elle travaillait sur un autre descendant, toujours lié à Shao Jun. Cette attaque, l’a d’ailleurs empêchée de pouvoir continuer, d’où le goût amer que l’on peut ressentir en elle…
Pour Lisa, elle fera la rencontre fortuite d’un assassin dans la réalité, celui-ci lui expliquera d’ailleurs les dangers de l’Animus, ainsi que le vrai visage de sa soi-disant thérapeute… Malgré tout, elle souhaitera continuer, juste afin de savoir si Shao Jun a réussi sa rédemption et sa vengeance. Toutefois, elle commencera à se montrer plus méfiante vis-à-vis du Dr. Kagami, et cela semble également réciproque… Un nouveau personnage, outre l’assassin, fait son apparition, elle devrait aider Lisa, en tout cas, c’est ce que j’aimerais… En tout cas, la situation risque de vite dégénérer, Lisa risque de ne pas pouvoir garder le contrôle, et qui sait quel sera le prix à payer ?

Akcja rozpoczyna się zaraz po wydarzeniach z pierwszej części. To opowieść o nieustraszonej asasynce Shao Jun żyjącej w okresie panowania dynastii Ming. Wszystko się zmieniło od pojawienia się nowego cesarza, który wprowadził reformy w polityce państwa. Dawne imperium przepadło. Z Florencji powraca jedyna ocalała z zagłady bractwa asaynka. Jej największym pragnieniem jest zemsta…
W drugiej części fabuła skupiła się na bohaterce ze współczesnych czasów, która zmagała się z niepowodzeniami – podobnie jak jej daleka przodkini, Shao. Kobieta zaczyna coraz lepiej rozumieć postać, którą śledzi we wspomnieniach. Akcja szczególnie nabiera tempa, gdy spotyka tajemniczego mężczyznę, który zdradza jej więcej szczegółów odnośnie motywacji doktor Kagami. Informacja ta wywraca świat Lisy do góry nogami.
Co do magi autorstwa Minojiego Kurata — nie mam jej nic do zarzucenia. Fabuła rozwija się dynamicznie, nie ma żadnych niejasności. Pojawia się coraz więcej pytań, ale to normalne. Kreska jest bardzo przyjemna dla oka, miło się ją ogląda.
Podsumowując Assassin’s Creed. Miecz Shao Jun. Chiny. Tom 2 kontynuuje budowanie historii tytułowej bohaterki, a także Lisy. Do opowieści dołączyły nowe postacie, które urozmaicają fabułę o kolejne wątki. Miło jest dla odmiany poczytać coś innego, niż ciągłe walki o przetrwanie. Nie mogę się doczekać dalszego rozwoju serii, bo zapowiada się ciekawie!

Book two adapting the computer game Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China.
In 16th Century China, Shao Jun has to escape Macau as the city is set ablaze by the Templars. Her descendant Lisa is then shown that the war between the Templars and the Assassins continues in her own time and that she is being put in danger by her use of the Animus.
Where the first book of the series had lots of action but was a bit repetitive and lacking in depth, this book goes the other way. There's very little action and the main plot isn't advanced much, but we do get a lot more exploration of the characters of Lisa and Shao Jun through stories of their respective pasts.
I enjoyed this bit of character development and continue to be surprised by how engaging the modern day sections of the story are but it has to be said that this book doesn't move the story on very much. I think a balance somewhere between how this book and Volume 1 unfolded would've made both more enjoyable.
An interesting side note is that this book seems to reference the events of the poorly-received Assassin's Creed movie with Michael Fassbender, which was not something I was expecting. (For the record, I didn't hate the movie but I did think it was a bit bland and forgettable).

Je continue cette saga adaptée d’une de mes licences de jeu préféré, Assassin’s creed !
Shao Jun est la seule survivante de la confrérie chinoise des Assassins. C’est pour cela que cette dernière décide de prendre sa revanche. Mais le problème, c’est que les Tigres sont prêts à tout pour éliminer la jeune femme.
L’action est très présente dans ce tome. Il est très bon et on se laisse rapidement embarqué dans l’histoire. De nouvelle révélation viendront nous tenir en haleine tout le long de ce second tome.
Les dessins sont toujours un plaisir pour mes yeux. J’apprécie vraiment les scènes d’action et le coup de crayon de chacune d’entre elles !
En bref, c’est un deuxième tome intéressant et prenant à la fois. J’aime beaucoup ce manga, car comme je l’ai dit un peu plus haut, c’est l’adaptation d’une licence de jeu vidéo que j’adore ! Rien de mieux pour me faire plaisir !

Drugi tom "Miecza Shao Jun" wydaje mi się jeszcze lepszy niż poprzedni. Łatwo udało mi się odnaleźć w akcji, pomimo kilkumiesięcznej przerwy. Kreska dalej jest bardzo miła dla oka, brakuje mi tylko całkowitego tłumaczenia onomatopei w polskim wydaniu.
"Miecz..." to chyba jedyna historia z uniwersum Assassin's Creed'a, w której z równą ciekawością śledzę teraźniejszość, co przeszłość. Podobało mi się wierne oddanie epoki, np. pokazanie skrępowanych stóp chińskich kobiet z XVI w.
Czekam z niecierpliwością na ciąg dalszy i wyglądam również innych komiksów ze świata AC. Polecam szczególnie fanom gry.

This volume made me curious about how the story progresses now. Lisa met a member of the brotherhood who says that Dr. kagami is a member of the templar order and has ulterior motives. Lisa's friend however, believes him and is trying to save her best friend now. Meanwhile shao jun goes after another member of the eight tigers. In the end wang yangming is being led to a mountain which is actually a trap.
Overall a great simple and understandable plot for first time manga readers like me. I actually want to rate it 3.5 stars but Goodreads doesn't have an option for that.

I enjoyed the plot development in this volume. The manga reads like the Assassin’s Creed game. It’s one quest after the other leading you towards the end goal and the story unfolds as the quests are being completed. Both Shao Jun and Lisa learns more about thenselves and their purpose as they continue on their journey. Love the artwork obviously.

Zarówno fabuła, jak i rysunki stoją na dobrym poziomie, czyniąc tę mangę pozycją, którą można polecić fanom gry od Ubisoftu, a także osobom, które dopiero zaczynają przygodę z uniwersum Asasynów i Templariuszy.

The little author’s note at the end was wholesome 🥹 I find it so cool that AC Black Flag is mostly the game where people fell in love with this series. For me, I remember discovering it from playing AC 2, but I think I fell in love when I started AC 3. And since then, I’ve been religiously playing all of the games and I enjoy them all ❤️

4.75 ⭐ This was such a great follow up to Volume 1; the story really starts to develop for both of our FMCs. If I were in Lisa's shoes, I would do the same thing -

Beh, è migliorato parecchio.
Ma stranamente la parte ambientata nel Giappone moderno è un po' più interessante di quella ambientata nel passato. Anche perché ci sono dei collegamenti che non mi sono chiari tra i vari personaggi e i cattivi da sconfiggere.

3.9 Stars. A very well drawn volume with great story progression even when compared to the game it's based off of. The handful of references to other protagonists is always nice and not distracting. Hopefully I can find the next two volumes soon.

The second volume and even more kick-ass scenes, we see how things escalate, get some truths in both the now and then, meet friends in now/then, and a lot more! I cannot wait to see how this one continues further and see the whole story come together. I hope we see more of Lisa.

Shao Jun finde ich in diesem Band nicht ganz so spannend, aber ich mag die Verknüpfungen zum Film sowie zu Layla und Kiyoshi. Mal sehen, ob das in weiteren Bänden noch mehr ausgebaut wird.

Fast paced and action packed. Love the illustrations. Plot is moving along at a good pace. Can't wait to get into book 3 and 4!

A fascinating story. I have not played any of the video games from this franchise, but I understand the plot and I am never confused.

I love how Shao Jun’s actions of helping one lady save her daughter has helped to cancel out the hate that would have come out of a horrible situation ❤️
