What would the world be like if 80 percent of the population manifested superpowers called “Quirks”? Heroes and villains would be battling it out everywhere! Being a hero would mean learning to use your power, but where would you go to study? The Hero Academy of course! But what would you do if you were one of the 20 percent who were born Quirkless?
The all-out war against the Paranormal Liberation Front continues at the hospital and the mountain villa! Mirko desperately battles High-Ends in order to reach Tomura’s stasis tank, knowing exactly how much is at stake if she fails. At the PLF hideout, Dabi is determined to roast Hawks, but Tokoyami isn’t about to let his mentor fall. Meanwhile, while helping to evacuate the city, Midoriya senses an ominous presence in the hospital… With things going from bad to worse, and the heroes’ forces battered and stretched thin, Midoriya realizes the time has come for him to join the fight, even if it may be his last.

The build-up and intensity of this story-arc is phenomenal! You could feel stakes get higher and higher, you can sense the chaos arriving, you can tell that this will be the ultimate teaser to the upcoming battle where all heroes will have to unite to win this war.
Aizawa sensei is so cool!!!! He said he couldn't afford to die now because he must safeguard his students to become good heroes. T_T
Heroes and Villains are at war, I had been put through so much up and down when I read this volume!!! Poor everyone! T__T
(1) Present Mic shows his signature move and uses it against the evil doctor, it's epic!!!!
(2) Heroes and Villains are at war now!!!! That's so fucking epic but at the same time you just worry about who is gonna get hurt!!!!
(3) I can't completely buy into the hero and heroism thing, so the Villains' idea about 'everyone can be a hero, at the same time no one' is kind of make sense to me. But I am glad at least the author isn't buying into the hero worship stuff completely and he has been showing us all the grey areas and stuff.
(4) Izuku my poor baby! Really want to hug him and keep him safe! T_T
(5) Shigaraki becomes scarier!!!! Holy fuck how can the heroes stop him when he only wants to destory everything!!!???
(6) Everything is so epic and exciting starting from vol. 27, what more can I ask for!?
(7) Izuku and Katsuki rushed in to save their sensei!!! My feeling, my feeling!!!😭
PS: but I admit I first read some super cute boy's love fanfics about this series first before I got to the story canon! 🤣🤣🤣
Super good now. This high-end battle with so many supers has culminated in an all-out with the one baddie I never thought would go THIS far. Heck, Shigaraki has surpassed all my expectations. Since that last reveal and his new powerup, he’s ranking up there with the best.
Finally! I was worried that I would end up despising this manga because of the previous slowliness... but what the hell! This is really intense! I can't wait to see how they are going to overcome this - or if they do!
This is probably the best story arc so far. Not probably. It is the best story arc so far. I love it even more than the Stain story arc and that is a hard one to beat for me.
The battle, Shigaraki’s insane new power levels, Deku’s terror yet determination to protect those he loves yet keep One For All away from Shigaraki…this series has taken a very insane, dark turn that doesn’t stop pulling any punches and flings plot twists left and right, and even though I’m in pain right alongside the characters it’s so good I both love it and can’t stop reading every time I pick up a volume.
Eraser being so determined to stay alive for his students was so touching and shows just how much he cares about them. Then there’s Bakugo running after Deku to protect him showing just how far these two have come from the very beginning, and I honestly can’t believe I hated Bakugo back then due to how fond I’ve become of him now, lol. (though looking back it’s not hard to see why I despised him so much, he was a real piece of work, lol)
This series is seriously insane and I love every minute though I just know it’s going to wreck me by the end.

All out WAR on not one but TWO fronts? Things just escalated to a whole new level and I WASN'T READY!
I have a new favorite Hero though. Mirko, you absolute fierce rabbit-quirk warrior Queen! 👑 You took on several High-End Nomus all on your own and i can't stress enough just how much I adore your unyielding strength! ⚔️
AAAAAAAAAH, HORIKOSHIIIIIII!!!!! Me veo en la necesidad de seguir leyendo el manga hasta que esté arco haya concluido. Mi corazoncito no puede con la tortuosa espera semanal 😅 (nótese el drama) Pray for Aizawa!
My Hero Academia, Vol. 28 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next nine chapters (268–276) of the on-going manga series.
The all-out war against the Paranormal Liberation Front continues at the hospital and the mountain villa of Jaku City. Rumi Usagiyama as Mirko desperately battles High-Ends in order to reach Tomura Shigaraki’s stasis tank, knowing exactly how much is at stake if she fails. Unfortunately, fails she does as Tomura Shigaraki awakens more powerful than ever as he has inherited the All For One quirk.
Sensing the awakening, Izuku Midoriya who is a part of the evacuation team, warns everyone to leave the area as the hospital is utterly destroyed. Sensing One For All nearby, Tomura Shigaraki calls for him. Izuku Midoriya wastes no time and leads Tomura Shigaraki, who is fighting Enji Todoroki as Endeavor at the time, to a place where there is no people so they can fight. Katsuki Bakugō to fight by his side as he has a stake in the fight with All For One.
The tankōbon closes with Sorahiko Torino as Gran Torino taking Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugō out of the way, because they can’t afford to let Tomura Shigaraki have the All For One quirk at any and all costs. As the pair watches Shōta Aizawa as Eraserhead take on Tomura Shigaraki head-on.
Kohei Horikoshi has written and illustrated this tankōbon. It mainly focuses on the awakening of Tomura Shigaraki and the immense power he has received thanks to the efforts of Maruta Shiga who gave him the powers of All For One. Izuku Midoriya sensing his awakening heads to a relatively empty space to confront Tomura Shigaraki with his old friend Katsuki Bakugō following him. This tankōbon serves as a prelude to the ultimate confrontation between Izuku Midoriya and Tomura Shigaraki the inheritors of One For All and All For One quirks respectively.
All in all, My Hero Academia, Vol. 28 is a good continuation of the series that seems really intriguing and I can't wait to read what happens next.
While I still believe there's too much internal monologue sometimes between characters the action is firing on all cylinders.
Shiggy is all too powerful now, with almost every hero, top and low, going against him now. But if you get even NEAR him now you can be wiped away completely by his power. He now has complete control, and it's honestly more terrifying than him killing you by mistake.
The fights are really well done, big and fantastic, which makes me so hyped to see animated.
This series needed a boost and this arc so far is proving my hero deserves to be read. A 4 out of 5.
Insane amount of action in this one and this might’ve been the best showcase of art in this series so far. Things are elevated to a crazy level right now in this story and I’m excited to continue on with this!
I loved those! I always preorder them, then they arrive always at a strange and perfect end to the week timing. Grab them from the mail finishing work and i always go grab a beer then straight outside and read them right away. Just a fun little entertaining moment of mine!
Anyway, great action in this one and we get a feeling of closure too, for the first time it really felt like we're close to the end. I heard the series was coming to an end soon, don't know if this is true, if some of you know more please let me know, but a truly great volume!
The face off with the Paranormal Liberation Front now sees the stitched Tokoyomi taking charge, and now Midoriya and the heroes confront him and they’re unaware of the surprises heading each side’s way. A (100%/Outstanding)
It's getting intense. I'm actually flying through these chapters so I may have finally hit the point where I'm interested in the series again. Hopefully I can keep the momentum going and catch up!
The situation is so tense and scary that I'm even afraid of continuing. Even the fact that I was spoiled and I know about the majority of deaths and event can't allay my fear. 🤕🌝
This was a very amazing can't put down manga!!! So much action and mayhem it was amazing. Love how Shiggy gets this awesome team up and we get to know more about Shiggy and the other hero/hero in training as well. Fantastic artwork as well and story line and im EXCIDED to read more of this fantastic ARC
Leído en emisión. La verdad no sé a donde llega pero ajem. El encuentro de Deku y Shigaraki. Kacchan, toda su participación este arco. Aizawa cuidando a sus bebés. Deku y el worst case scenario ahshagshs.
Tch...! I just fuckin' got that... "Hosu City" is named after Hoth!
The worst part about owning these volumes physically is I can't read them at night in bed when trying to fall asleep. I mean, I could read them on MangaPlus, but then it's a waste of money to have bought the volumes. As a consequence, I'd gotten further in Black Clover, which I've been reading purely digitally. My plan was to eventually balance them out, with BnHA maintaining a lead because it started running first (iirc). Oh well, now they're tied!
This arc keeps building and building, and I guess we have our climax; Shigaraki has awakened, and he has All for One (the Quirk, not the dude) within him, on top of having his physical abilities boosted, and Decay having Awakened. There's word of Super Shigaraki being like a perfected Nomu, which reminds me of Wesker in Resident Evils CV and 5, which... works better here, as I'd rather have human Shigaraki than a bunch of samey Nomu (whereas in RE I strongly prefer having various mutated final bosses then just "Wesker with a single Ouroboros tentacle making a scythe out of airplane parts"...).
Ragdoll tummy on the back cover! Mirko tits and pits on the volume title page! Giant flying Mt. Lady ass in Chapter 271! Burnin thighs and hips in Chapter 272! Nejire tits, tummy, hips, and thighs on the adjacent page! Partially nude Toga near the end of 273!
