The Cursed Series #4
Eternal Love
As if having an unbreakable bond with Jax isn't hard enough, Chloe’s now forced to work with him on a major school project, and the more time they spend together, the stronger the bond becomes. Fighting it will most certainly drive her mad. But if she ever wants to have a future with Trent, she has no choice but to resist. Unfortunately, any hope she has of ever becoming a vampire and spending an eternity with Trent hangs on breaking the bond, which is an impossible feat.
Until an unlikely source offers them a solution to their problem. There’s just one catch—in order to fully break the bond, Trent’s immortal life will be linked to her mortal one. And with two of the most powerful covens in the world hellbent on killing her, the decision is a no-brainer. Not even the promise of eternal love is enough to make Chloe risk Trent’s life.

GOD, I LOVE THESE BOOKS.
I'm glad I didn't read the first chapter of this when I was finishing book three because I was completely and utterly WRECKED by Chloe's choice.
The cover gives it away and so does the mentioned first chapter so this isn't really a spoiler - MY TEAM JAX SHIP IS GOING DOWN IN FLAMES, YES, I AM STILL CRYING.
And some small part of me was actually convinced she'd choose him over Trent, oh how wrong I was.
So, Chloe chooses and Trent is ready to move their relationship to the next level and suddenly I like him??? WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN???
Jax is, of course, very upset and leaves town for a while but when he comes back he and Chloe still have to work on the project together and the bond isn't making things any easier. Chloe wants to be rid of it and she wants it NOW.
In comes Ivy, who seems to have a solution but it comes with a cost. What does she get out of helping them? And that *other* thing she volunteered to help with, that might be the doom of them all.
I'm a little angry at this book because just when I finally start liking Trent, he and Chloe argue so much over things that should be no brainers. The war is coming Trent, be smart, build (join) an army.
I knew Ivy had to have ulterior motives but wow, she thought everything through. I like how caring she is, if we ignore that.
Wyatt wasn't in this book as much but that's what he deserves because of Abby. And Abby and Isach? So cute. I fully support Isach and Chloe's growing friendship as well.
SIMON'S BACK, if only for a few scenes. He deserves a hug.
I know Chloe won't change her mind, especially now, but I don't want Jax with Gina. Even if it would be nice for all the friends to be paired up. Just not Gina, please not Gina. I'M BEGGING.
That surprise visit at the end...such good timing with what's coming, they need all hands on deck.
Honourable mention: Chloe's first time seeing snow. Awwwwwwwwwwwww.
I really hope this series blows up because it's so good and so underrated. If you need me, I'm in hibernation until book five.
*I'd like to thank the wonderful author for providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review*

I'm between laughing or crying with joy, angry or disappointed with those things I want to change but can't. I'm having so many feelings and emotions while reading this series that it's hard to put into words . But I love it, I really love this series. Chloe is torn between Jax and Trent only because the bond that happened when she let Jax drink from her. Being Trent's soulmate means she is his , he is hers and they love each other so much. But making a deal to break that bond means the world to both of them , it's worth it but trying for more then that is dangerous. Earlier when I said I love this series , I really meant it. I'm ready for book 5 and can hardly wait to start reading it

Okay storyline but...
So, I didn't have an issue with how the story is progressing but the interaction between Trent and Chloe I found to be overly annoying in this book. Half the book, perhaps more, is them kissing, sending cutesy text messages, Trent constantly seeking reassurances on her choices or them fighting and then apologising. If not for the side characters I probably wouldn't have pushed through to the end.

It seems just as Chloe catches a break, more information comes up that throws a link in the works. She and Trent seem to work through their issues though, often leaving more questions than answers. The twist of the arrival of a family member catches everyone off guard. Looking forward to how that all came about. This is an amazing series.

Chloe seems no closer to getting what she wants always meeting a kink in the road. Chloe and Trent need to learn to have conversions instead of Chloe going behind his back. With a surprise visitor all seems good, except for reason of showing up a 100 years later.

Eternal Love
3/3.5
Misunderstandings, miscommunication and more. The story is full of relationship drama and a bit of suspense but moved a bit slow. There were some super cute and sweet swoon-worthy moments. All in all Isach still remains my favorite though!

Great But...
I love this series, and can't wait to read the next book.
Its a great story that I feel mirrors Twilight and Vampire Diaries a tad too much.
The books are great but all the "she whimpered" and all the crying she does is just too much.
I understand this is fiction, but I like realism too mixed in. The heated kissing and touching in school hallways in front of lockers would not be allowed. That might sound picky but I want a vampire book to seem real. Other than the things above, everyone who loves vampires should read these books

Chloe is not having an easy time. Not only is the bond with Jax still there, but bow they have to work together at school. She's not sure what to do. To bond with Trent means joining him with her mortal life. WHAT!? Why can't love be simple? Why's it so complicated?

I have been team Jax throughout the entire series so far. It was this book that the author finally convinced me that Chloe and Trent work together. I'm also looking forward to Chloe and Isaac finally having the "so, we're cousins" discussion.
