When bloodshed is the game, body count is the score.

Elite assassin Reed Montgomery’s private war with the criminal underworld is spilling across the country and leaving carnage in its wake. After identifying his enemy as a shadowy shot caller known only as Gambit, Reed is ready to end the war with a well-placed bullet.

But Gambit is one step ahead. After kidnapping Reed’s father, Gambit proposes an exchange: He’ll release David Montgomery if Reed completes one last kill.

The target? An innocent public servant.

With his father’s life hanging in the balance, Reed must outmaneuver Gambit if he ever hopes to end this war. But Gambit is a master of manipulation, and he lives for the game.

The path to victory will drag Reed through a darker world than ever before.

Loving this series!

The saga just keeps getting better, am sad that I will get to the end very soon, really hope it's not the end of Reed Montgomery just the storyline.

I said in the review for Smoke and Mirrors that there was so much action it had too flow into this one, and did it ever. Reeds father has been broken out of prison but not by him. Gambit has him. Gambit is Aiden's underling and Reed's ultimate target. If Reed wants to see his father again, he has to kill the governor of Louisiana. Problem is, she is a straight shooter. He has help he doesn't know about, nor does he want. Banks is there because she still wants the person who killed her father. Lucy, because Reed saved her life and she is returning the favor. Kelly, his ex-girlfriend, wants to kill him. Wolfgang, expert assassin in his own right, because Reed has something he needs. This squad makes for a pretty entertaining side show. Really liking this series!

The ongoing sage of Reed Montgomery without any satisfactory ending. Good story line and a good protagonist in Reed but at the end of the book there are more questions than answers. This is the 5th book in the series I've read and more than likely the last. Just not a fan of books that have no finality and are written with the idea of getting the reader to buy the next book.

Talk about action

I have read all 5 books and have only left a rating on this one. I read so much that I get tired of rating all. I just tell you though that this author deserves a 5 rating on all 5 books. If you love action packed vigilante type books you will love these. I was hooked from the start and can't wait for book 6 to get here. Highly recommend this author.

Interesting Cast of Characters

Credit where credit is due - the author spent a lot of time plotting out this series. Each book is a continuation of the last one. There are a few completely ridiculous moments, but overall the dialogue is good and the cast of characters is interesting.

I have read all the available Logan Ryles’ books. They remind me of the John Wicks’ movies. It seems impossible that bodies can suffer so much trauma and continue to function.

However, I thoroughly enjoyed this band of misfits. Each character is dangerous but hauntingly human. Wolfgang does not kill after dark and he does not curse.

I am looking forward to the 6th book.

Logan Ryles has picked a winner. Who wouldn't want to love a hero like Reed? Keep on going Logan! All decent men respect him and all women want a man like him. Reed's episodes are thrilling and although sometimes unbelievable, they are believable enough for the character to keep us coming back for more.

Continued action with Reed Montgomery

More people, more action than ever. As in earlier books, a little proofreading would enhance Ryles good storytelling! Look forward to the next book though...

Five Stars - An Excellent Read

This was the latest book I have read in the Reed Montgomery series. Each book continues to build on the last and goes from strength to strength. It was almost impossible to put it down such is the powerful story line and non stop action. This book brings together lots of characters from the previous books and I absolutely loved it. A huge pat on the back and thank you to the author Logan Ryles and from me a well deserved 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

More of the same. Violence, revenge, no end in sight. Moves along quickly, but series is becoming like one of those bad dreams that never ends.
